Elon Musk urges McDonald's to accept DOGE, SuperJeweler accepts SHIB, and BTC could be hacked using quantum computers.

Elon Musk is pleading with McDonald's to accept Dogecoin.

Elon Musk appears to be willing to go to any length to convince McDonald's to accept Dogecoin. In a recent tweet, the centibillionaire stated that if McDonald's begins accepting the meme coin, he will eat a McDonald's Happy Meal on TV.
Earlier this month, Tesla, the world's largest e-car manufacturer, began pricing some of its merchandise in Dogecoin, causing the coin's price to rise by 12%.

BitPay is now accepted by a New York-based jewelry collection for Shiba Inu.

Good news for jewelry collectors with SHIB tokens: SuperJeweler, a jewelry collection based in New York, has announced that it now accepts cryptocurrencies through BitPay. Shiba Inu, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Wrapped Bitcoin, and five USD-pegged stable coins are among the cryptos on the list (BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDP and USDC). Shiba Inu owners can now purchase diamonds, rings, and other jewelry from the New York-based jewelry collection.

Extremely powerful quantum computers could be used to hack Bitcoin.

Even though Bitcoin is perfectly safe for the time being, some scientists are still researching the flagship cryptocurrency's potential vulnerabilities. Bitcoin's encryption, according to Mark Webber, a quantum physicist at the University of Sussex, could be broken by futuristic quantum supercomputers with at least 13 million qubits. According to the physicist, Bitcoin could undergo a hard fork in order to become quantum-resistant.

A Bitcoin hack, on the other hand, should not be expected in the near future; so far, IBM has unveiled a 127-qubit quantum computing chip, which is far too far from the technical characteristics required to break BTC's encryption.

Two ETH whales purchase 106 billion SHIB as token prices fall.

The blockchain tracking service WhaleStats discovered yesterday that two Ethereum whales purchased a total of 106 billion Shiba Inu tokens. They conducted two transactions: the first carried 51,796,042,392 SHIB worth $1,084,609, and the second wired 54,345,553,998 SHIB worth $1,067,346.

Aside from SHIB, Ethereum whales continue to acquire other popular tokens such as MATIC and LINK. An Ethereum whale ranked 131st on WhaleStats paid $8,501,300 for 5,630,000 MATIC. Another large ETH holder, ranked fourth, spent $3,129,999 on 199,999 LINK.
