Cryptocurrency Spotlight : Lets Look at Some Tokens :
>> Ethereum (ETH) <<

What's good Friends.

Why should you not get into a contract with a tiger? Well, because of its retractable clause. Sorta of a lame contract joke, but you know what else has contracts that may be a bit smarter than a tiger? Ethereum. Today we will be taking a lite drive into this token that has revolutionized the world with Smart Contracts and more.

Why is this token interesting :

currently, the second most popular used currency, Ethereum has a long history and bright future, if it can overcome a few hurdles.

This cryptocurrency was the first to pioneer the Smart Contract concept. Smart Contracts is one of the main reasons this token has grown in use, as such its important we define what that is.

A smart contract is a self-executing contract with the terms of the agreement between buyer and seller being directly written into lines of code. The code and the agreements contained therein exist across a distributed, decentralized blockchain network. The code controls the execution, and transactions are trackable and irreversible.

What this means in layman's terms is that when you execute a contract ETH, you have no stress, it will happen with no lawyers needed.

Vitalik Buterin is credited as the founder of ETH. He was disappointed at the limited use of Bitcoin and decided to make his own chain. This happened in November of 2013.

The title "Olympic" Ethereum testnet was made live on May 2015 and since then this token has climbed and fallen with the Bitcoin sea levels.

Currently, ETH runs a Proof-of-Work consensus mechanism. This mechanism, while new at the time the chain started, is now one of the big reasons ETH moves so slow (only 5 transactions per second0). Being developed now is the Proof-of-Stake (Casper v2 ) update to ETH. This will lessen the computer requirements to run this chain and perhaps, push the value of ETH beyond BTC. No set launch date is listed for this at this time.

Ethereum has a strong past and a very active development team, many dapps and project are built on this technology. If the ETH team can bring the Proof-of-Stake update online soon, ETH has a real chance of becoming the main token in Crypto.

What do you say?
