Progress on My Hive Goals for 13 Feb 2023 ~ Legion of Doom

Good morning all you great Hivers. Hope everyone is doing well today. Well it's the beginning of a new week, so let's start by looking back and the previous one and seeing what (if any) progress I made on my Hive goals!

My focus is still on building Hive power. So we'll mainly be looking at my progress on that front here, but there are a few Hive-Engine tokens to look at.

Let's dive in.

~ Hive & HBD ~

My current goal is 25k Hive.

This past week I made 78.480, bringing me to 11,988.09 total Hive Power. Almost 12k! Progress is still not quite as quick as I'd like, but it's going. I'd really like to get that weekly total above 100, but we'll get there. If you'll remember one of my New Years Goals was to step up my game on my posts and get away from only haiku/Japanese history/Japanese photos. Those topics are near and dear to my heart, but they are the niche of niches on Hive, so if I want to attract more readers and more upvotes, I need to expand my writing. Working on it.

I have been converting all HBD made into Hive. I'm keeping it liquid until the next HPUD so that I can take advantage of any more pumps that may come, but when March 1st rolls around I will use a lot of it to power up.

Anyway—11,988.09. That's 48.0% of my goal! Growing stronger!! I'll be an Orca before I know it! Eye of the Tiger, baby!

Gak! Would you look at that.... I was powering up one Hive every day for Hive Power-Up Month, but somehow I managed to skip the 11th and power-up 2 hive on the 12th. Now how the hell did I make that mistake....?! Guess I'm out of the running for that badge. Oh well!

Anyway, that's the main thing, but let's look at three tokens. Two I've had my eye on this past week, and one other that I'm holding and considering what to do with it.

~ Dhedge ~

I've had my eye on Dhedge this past week. Price-wise it hasn't been doing badly. It's far from its high, but also far from its low. But aside from the normal speculation on the future price that comes with any token or coin buy, there are two unique advantages of Dhedge.

  1. They give a daily drip of several H-E tokens. Most are trash, of course, but they are easy to sell using TribalDex.
  2. They give a daily post upvote. And so far this upvote is really out of proportion to holdings, coming to about 346.014% APR. That's incredible! Now that calculation is only based on a week of tracking, so it may be off.

Since I post daily that last is very attractive.

Last week I bought 300, which is only about $12 at current prices. Not a lot, but I just wanted to dip my toes in. From the drip I've only made a few cents so that's nothing special, but I've gotten close to 70 cents in upvotes. Of course post payout will change a lot over the seven days until it actually pays out so that figure isn't entirely accurate, but even so, it's a pretty good return. But of course they can't keep this up. If more people ape in, they will have to cut that upvote down to a reasonable level.

Anyway, I'm watching it closely and thinking about buying more.

~ Legion ~

I haven't really made any goals here yet, but I like what I'm seeing. Ray did an amazing job with Bro and Cine, and he has big plans for Legion (LGN) as well.

I'm getting a bit everyday from the airdrop for holding BRO, but I also picked up a little this past week. Ray's slowly increasing the price so we need to think quickly! It's up to 1.2 per LGN now. 1.3 is next.

I'm holding 182.298 right now and I will be picking up more as I can. We can also delegate Hive to @stickupcurator to get 15% back as LGN, so that's an option I'm using.

~ EDS ~

I picked up 400 EDSMM a few months ago when they put some more on the market, so I'm mining between .25 and .50 EDS everyday. I've just been holding it for now. EDS we hope gives a weekly Hive dividend, which is around 30%.

I'm thinking of selling some of the EDS mined. They are pegged at 1 Hive each, so I could be selling for a few Hive per week and then use that to fund something else—Legion or Dhedge perhaps—or move it to Hive and use it to power-up more, which is my major goal this year.

Thinking, thinking...

~ Misc ~

And forward we go! It was a strong week. Let's see how this coming one goes!
