Hive's internal market has become much more user friendly thanks to HiveHub.dev

A better way to exchange HIVE/HBD šŸ”ƒ

The days of relying on https://wallet.hive.blog/market as the best place to swap our beloved HIVE and HBD are finally over. It will still remain and function as it has been, but we now have a new option.

If you use PeakD as your main Hive front end, you may have realized that your wallet has changed slightly. We've always had the ability to select the market on our HIVE or HBD holdings, but now that link takes you someplace new. You will find yourself on https://hivehub.dev/market instead of the old internal market.

Shoutout to @asgarth for being one of the hardest-working devs I've ever known!

In the past, I made a video tutorial explaining how to make buy/sell orders on the old internal market. That information is still valid, but at last, you do not have to go through as many steps to get the desired outcome. As unappealing as it was, the original Hive internal market worked fine. Fine isn't what we need to welcome a greater amount of users than we currently have.

People thrive when things are simplified. Even some crypto pioneers prefer the usability of websites such as https://stealthex.io/, https://simpleswap.io/, and https://blocktrades.us/en/trade. Those quick exchanges will still be a wonderful option for swapping HIVE for BTC, but many will prefer to trade HIVE against HBD, seeing as it has remained quite stable for some time now. This is why https://hivehub.dev/market is an absolute upgrade over https://wallet.hive.blog/market.

Just look how much more attractive and easy this new internal market is. You simply input the amount of HIVE or HBD you wish to trade and then select swap. There are a few other various settings that can be tweaked, but most people will just jump in and be able to do what they want to do with just a few clicks of a button.

signin.png

As you may have guessed, the sign-in process is also easily understood. You can log in with https://hive-keychain.com/ on desktop or mobile. If you do not have an account, there are links to visit https://signup.hive.io/, https://peakd.com/register, and https://ecency.com/signup.

One of the things that I love so much about PeakD is the fact that they are not self-centered. Their team truly believes in community and is more than happy to support other projects on their front end. They know that everyone has different tastes and some people for instance may prefer https://ecency.com/ over https://peakd.com/. Plus it may not just be one app that makes Hive go mainstream, but more than likely a collection of useful apps working together - much like an actual bee hive.

Peak Open Projects Team.png

The new internal market feature is live in your @peakd wallet now and we have @peak.open and the Peak Open Projects team to thank for that. Each one of these team members contributes towards making it possible for amazing updates like this one to happen.

So a major shoutout to...

@yozen
@mirafun
@mozzie5
@jarvie
@asgarth
@igormuba

Be sure to join the PeakD Projects Discord to stay up to date on all of the latest information. This is also the easiest way to submit bug reports, which are extremely helpful to the dev team. Who knows, maybe your next great idea for PeakD will be turned into a new feature. I've seen it happen many times before.

Thanks for reading today šŸ™

If you have any questions about how to use this new feature, drop a comment and ask. I or another community member will be more than happy to assist.
