I've got some really nice tips for you. I learned these messing around with Splinterlands. Since I've had the troubles - you guys can skip through them. Consider this sort of a walkthrough. I don't know how are you playing Land 1.5 now. There might be need to adapt these tips to fit your gameplay. Probably there isn't a huge difference.
Pay Attention To Plots Regularly
Regular plots fill up the storage in 7 days. Don't set a date on week though. What if you miss the date! Another thing is not having enough Grain for claim. If you check at least 2 times a week - it's easier to figure out trajectory of what's going with Grain supply 🌽
Keeps & Castles Can Store A Lot More 🏰
I don't remember their max storage. I have a Keep. Mine fills up 1% - 2% everyday. These come from taxes. Taxes happen when other plots in the tract/region make a claim. I treat my Keep like an emergency supply for Grain 😊
Check Your Diesel Pools!
Didn't even remember I had some LP left. They are easy to manage. If you have done any DeFi stuff you'll find it even easier on Hive. We don't have any fees around here. Just make your Tx casually!
I entered 100% because I wanted to get out of LP fully. What's the point of keeping small amount! I can earn APR on land and there's no way I'm gonna forget about land. Small LP position is easy to loose track of.
Carefully Choose Terrain
Check here for preferences. Each Splinter gets 5% or 10% bonus in some terrains. They can also get 10% or 50% penalty on others. Be careful how you choose. Neutrals don't give bonus/penalty. Feel free to use them anywhere.
Have Your Items Ready
Runi can act as its own power core. But I don't have any. So it's just regular power cores for me. I've got 1 for each working plot I have. With new change I have 17/21 plots working. That's a good progress. Soon I'll be out of things to do with my extra NFTs around.
Another very important part is Time Crystals. These are sold for 100 DEC. But if you go here you'll get it way cheaper. Right now it's 33.7% off. Not sure how long this discount will last. I'll try to finish up my land constructions before that.
There could be more TC use cases when Land 2.0 comes out. But who knows how long that'll take. We already saw how long it took to have basic gameplay. It's best not to expect anything too soon.
Stake DEC Before Anything 🏦🔒
The way it works on next.splinterlands is if you claim any resources all pages go to the claim page. It's so annoying. Best to take care of all claims and get your DEC ready.
**If you add the necessary DEC stake to keep 100% production capacity adding some workers don't trigger a claim. I've lost so much DEC because I didn't know about this. If you have all the needed DEC staked you can choose not to spend more DEC to cover for lack of Grain.__
That is the most important thing I learn today. It's gonna save me some crypto in future!
Always Build Instantly ⌛
Preparing work site and doing construction takes too much time. It often take weeks. You could totally loose track of which plots are not producing resources.
Just use the tip above to buy TC at low price. Get all the TC you need at once. Then build instantly. You'll have better peace of mind this way.
Watch Your Grain 🔎
There will be other food in Land 2.0 that's more efficient. But that'll be a at least many months away. There's no cheap reliable way to buy Grain. If you can do P2P trades with friends that's really good. Most of the time these guys don't have enough for them either. Even when they sell it's small amounts.
1 Grain = 1 DEC is just a massive price. I'll have to spend $1.11 just to keep my plots running for region 47. After new work site today I've got little bit better with Grain production. But I'm still depending big on Keep.
Keep doesn't count as producing Grain..... or anything else! It's just collecting taxes. In future there's bigger stuff planned. If more players in my tract farm Grain I'll be in for a treat. My capture rate is 46%.
HODL Your SPS 💸
Right now it's not the best looking chart. Arcade Colony has a token airdrop that's gonna last 5 years. SPS stake over 5000 counts for it. These low prices are actually good time to accumulate. We haven't seen a craze for GameFi yet. I've posted about many of these stuff beofre. Here's 1 of them. DYOR and invest smart 🎓
