I had another season where I took some smaller crypto bets in addition to my main betting activity on SportMarket Pro. These are the results of the 2023-2024 Season...

State Of Crypto Betting Market

It continues to be very much possible to bet using crypto either on a centralized bookie or straight from your wallet. However, so far nothing really rivals Sportmarket Pro which I use daily to get my bets in. Some of the projects that I used in the past are no longer available xfun.bet discontinued their operation, Openbetai turned out to be using Owndao for their casino and ended up rugging while Wagerr seems to be in a slow exit as the platform went down in anticipation for v5.0 which I doubt will ever see the light of day at this point.

Sportbet.one continues to be very reliable for many years now leaving their users to bet in a classic Web2 way where you deposit funds while they handle the blockchain aspect or you can bet straight from your own wallet without the risk of getting rugged. dexsport.io is one I started using last season and I really like it so far as they offer a lot of prop bets which is what I mainly look for in these. rollbit.com also continues to work but they do limit individual players and it's possible to get hit by KYC.

Overall Results

Not really the results I hoped for but kind of in the line of expectation as this wasn't my best season. In current USD values, I only bet 3119$ over the entire season and I lost -925$. It remain quite a hassle having to bet in different currencies which are highly fluctuate.

Counting this season in BTC which has been my benchmark over the years, I staked 0.0469 BTC which returned a loss of -0.0139 BTC. With BTC going up in price, this loss is way lass compared to what I managed to win in the past as I continue to take bets based on USD or the limits that are available.

Conclusion

I had a losing season which I see as mostly variance and stakes which often are limited also because the win-loss rate is actually 25W-28L which is nowhere near the loss indicates. However, I'm still up a lot in BCT since i started betting and will continue next season hoping for it to be a profitable one again!
