NFTs for boarding passes
Germany's Lufthansa is now also going blockchain and has an NFT-based loyalty program up and running. The whole thing is called UpTrip. They are working with Polygon on this.
How it works.
You scan your boarding pass in the app and then you get two Digital Trading Cards. If one has a series like "capitals" or "airplane types" complete, one wins different bonuses like e.g. free Internet during the flight or Business Lounge entrance. Soon you will also be able to trade the cards with other passengers on the plane. And you can do that because each digital trading card is a unique token (NFT) on the Polygon/Ethereum blockchain.
I think it's cool! Just imagine, you can get really great bonuses and get in touch with other passengers. Interaction and such. 😋

Die deutsche Lufthansa macht mittlerweile auch auf Blockchain und hat ein NFT basiertes Treue-Programm am Start. Das Ganze nennt sich UpTrip. Dabei arbeiten sie mit Polygon zusammen.
So funktioniert es
Man scannt seine Bordkarte in der App ein und erhält dann zwei Digitale Sammelkarten. Wenn man eine Serie wie "Hauptstädte" oder "Flugzeugtypen" voll hat, gewinnt man verschiedene Boni wie zB. freies Internet beim Flug oder Business Lounge Zugang. Demnächst soll man auch mit anderen Passagieren im Flugzeug tauschen können. Und das geht, weil jede digitale Sammelkarte ein einzigartiger Token (NFT) auf der Polygon/Ethereum Blockchain ist.
