Find the lady, find the lady, find the lady - Don't Get Scammed!!!

Don't Get swindled

Do you like Horse Racing? Maybe you do, maybe you don't. Regardless, a day out at the races can still be lots of fun and caters for young and old, rich and poor, man or woman or other.

My Home town of Galway has a famous race meeting every year at the end of July, start of August and it always attracts a huge crowd from around the country and beyond.

I've seen many a man and woman get swindled out of a lot of money on the way out of said Galway races playing against crafty travellers (gypsies) playing the three card trick. So if you ever see somebody setting up this card trick on the back of a box or biscuit tin, watch if you dare, but don't under any circumstances place a bet!

"Find the lady, find the lady, find the lady" they'll say as they throw the cards down which includes one queen that you must find.

A word of advice, never play this game! You'll lose 100%

It seems so easy, just follow where they move the Queen. Easy peasy. Nope. Not easy. 33% chance? Nope. Zero chance! Why?

Watch this video from 1967 to see why. This is a wonderful look back in time to a simpler Ireland of 57 years ago. The first 1 minutes 44 seconds is in our local language Gaeilge, but you don't need to understand the talking to see What's going on.

After 1 minutes 44 seconds, it's in English and we can see first hand why to avoid this card game!

Did you enjoy that little walk down memory lane?

Hopefully you did, and I might do some more posts like this one if ye did.

I do wonder about 95% of Crypto projects, which to my eyes are no more than modern day three card tricks. Be careful out there, and never put more on the table than you can comfortably afford to lose.

The images used throughout are all my own captured on my Samsung Smartphone

Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.

Peace Out
