Introdução
O Universo 7 é um universo bem semelhante ao que vivemos, com a mesma geografia, sistema politico, cultura bem semelhante, entre outras semelhanças. Ou seja é um universo que se desenvolveu através da tecnologia, não existe magia aqui, ou pelo menos não magia explicita.
Ao menos era assim até o evento cataclísmico que mudou o Universo7 e sua dinâmica e até hoje ninguém consegue explicar. No ano de 2012 DC, todo humano que morria voltava a vida com uma fome incontrolável e aparentemente sem capacidade de se lembrar da sua vida, ou manter um raciocínio logico. Eles voltavam como zumbis apenas querendo se alimentar de qualquer tipo de ser vivo que passasse na sua frente.
Isso gerou um surto de mortes jamais visto que durou 7 anos, essa onda de mortes reduziu a população humana de 7bilhões, numero estimado da população no inicio do cataclisma, para apenas 171milhões em 2019. Inicialmente os Zumbis, ou seja lá como eram chamados, eram os maiores causadores de morte, mas após o segundo ano a taxa de assassinato entre os humanos se tornou tão alta quanto a de mortes por ataques dos "mortos". Em 2019 com o Tratado Global de Paz Entre os Vivos, as mortes finalmente diminuíram e a taxa de crescimento populacional começou a se tornar levemente positiva.
Nossos registros vão até o ano de 2024 e desde o tratado o Universo 7 evoluiu consideravelmente tanto em relações politicas entre as comunidades sobreviventes como em recuperação da tecnologia perdida no cataclisma.
Geografia e Politica
Após o cataclisma as grandes cidades na sua maioria caíram e em questão de pouco tempo a natureza voltou a tomar conta. Algumas cidades foram tomadas pelo verde e pelos animais bem rápido, enquanto outras levaram mais tempo, seja pela presença massiva dos Zumbis ou simplesmente pela destruição do entorno ter sido tão grande que levou anos pra natureza se recuperar. O fato é que após 12 anos de população reduzida e sem o ser humano destruindo as matas o planeta ficou mais verde e os oceanos mais limpos. Porem o clima se tornou cada vez mais inconstante em alguns locais do globo, tornando quase impossível de se prever.
Obviamente os antigos mapas não definem mais fronteiras, e embora muitas cidades ainda sejam conhecidas pelos seus nomes, muitas outras simplesmente desapareceram. Vamos dar alguns exemplos de mudanças extremas em grandes cidades e seus cenários:
Cidades no Novo Mundo
Las Vegas
Nos primeiros anos após o cataclisma Las Vegas foi uma das cidades mais perigosas do planeta. Logo que o primeiro morto se levantou o surto pegou a cidade desprevenida matando muitas das pessoas que estavam por lá. Isso por si só não tornaria ela mais perigosa das cidades, esse fenômeno aconteceu em quase todas as cidades turísticas ou com alta densidade populacional, mas após alguns meses do cataclisma, muitos dos sobreviventes que estavam nos EUA perceberam que Las Vegas tinha em abundancia um recurso importantíssimo. Ela era uma cidade 100% com energia renovável tendo um numero gigantesco de painéis de luz solar que poderia trazer diversos benefícios e conforto aos sobreviventes.
Embora eles estivessem certos em ir atrás dessa energia, não contaram com 2 coisas, a primeira que sem autoridades pra controlar o crime e com recursos tão valiosos a cidade se tornou uma zona de guerra, e segundo que sem a manutenção adequada ao longo dos anos o deserto foi retomando seu espaço tornando a cidade cada vez mais dificil de ser habitada. Muitos grupos conseguiram pegar as placas solares e levar para outros locais, mas muitas delas se perderam na
guerra ou foram engolidas pelo deserto.
Rio de Janeiro
A cidade do Rio de Janeiro foi um pilar de resistência no inicio do novo mundo. Logo que tudo começou o Rio de Janeiro perdeu cerca de 50% da sua população, caindo de aproximadamente 7milhões em 2012 para aproximadamente 3,4milhões em 2014 no primeiro Senso Unificado do Novo Mundo. A grande diferença aqui é que a maioria das perdas não foram de mortes para Zumbis.
A epidemia de "mortos" foi relativamente controlada nos primeiros meses. O território do Rio de Janeiro já era defendido em boa parte por facções criminosas, com estratégias bem definidas para defender o território, criar barricadas e com munições fortes suficientes para derrubar helicópteros. Em 2 dias a grande massa de Zumbis foi
exterminada, mas a briga por suprimentos e a fome daqueles que não conseguiam ou não queriam matar por alimento causou um grande numero de mortes. As guerras territoriais cessaram assim que o cataclisma começou, as facções sabiam quem era o verdadeiro inimigo e cada uma manteve seu território protegido e criaram inclusive comercio entre si.
Muitas pessoas que não moravam em territórios protegidos e tinham dificuldade de lidar com a falta de alimentos decidiu migrar para outros estados ou cidades pequenas. Alguns sobrevivencialistas decidiram viver na floresta que era abundante no estado.
Foi em 2014 que o Rio de Janeiro fez seu primeiro tratado entre suas comunidades e foi renomeado como União do Povo Livre. A primeira grande comunidade do Novo Mundo.
Londres
Assim que tudo começou Londres se tornou um caos, o caos foi tão grande que não se tem nenhum tipo de registro ou estimativa de quantas pessoas morreram. Um diferencial de Londres é que o numero de pessoas tentando sair da cidade foi muito pequeno. Aqueles que sobreviveram aos primeiros dias preferiram ficar e lutar, inúmeros pequenos grupos foram surgindo e a violência entre humanos era bem pequena. Na verdade no geral todos os grupos se ajudavam na medida do possível, mas nunca chegaram a criar uma grande comunidade se sentindo mais confortáveis em seus pequenos núcleos.
Embora não se tenha números estimados de mortes durante a onda de mortes, sabe-se que em 2021, quando foi feito Senso Unificado do Novo Mundo, a população de Londres era de 4milhões de habitantes. Londres foi a ultima cidade a assinar o Tratado Global de Paz Entre os Vivos, tendo assinado apenas no final de 2020.
A cidade nunca caiu e nem mudou de nome. A natureza nunca invadiu, ao invés disso a cidade ganhou um ar de cidade medieval, viajar para Londres pode facilmente parecer uma viagem no tempo pra idade das trevas.
Havana
Havana se autoproclama com orgulho "A cidade que nunca caiu!". A cidade realmente nunca caiu, mas teve sua população reduzida chegando a ter menos de mil pessoas vivendo nela por um período.
O governo aqui se manteve firme e não mudou desde o velho mundo, mas quando tudo aconteceu a cidade protegeu aqueles que poderiam contribuir com o futuro da humanidade, deixando desprotegidos e as vezes sacrificando aqueles que não podiam acrescentar como no caso de idosos.
A cidade nunca assinou o tratado e raramente faz acordos comerciais com comunidades externas. Embora seja uma cidade com uma liderança altamente autoritária, não é um lugar ruim pra se viver caso você seja aprovado para morar lá. Não se sabe ao certo o numero de pessoas que vivem lá mas estimasse que seja em torno de 1milhão de pessoas. Todo o restante do pais foi dizimado e "limpo" para que não tenham mais Zumbis andando no entorno de Havana.
A cidade tem saúde de alto nível e o maior polo tecnológico do Novo Mundo. Não só eles conseguiram manter o nível tecnológico de antes do cataclisma como tem desenvolvido novas tecnologias. Toda a segurança do perímetro é feita por drones militares o que faz eles não terem perda de pessoas a anos e a taxa de mortalidade é baixíssima mesmo considerando acidentes e doenças. A taxa de natalidade é controlada, sendo necessário autorização do governo para ter filhos sobre pena de expulsão ou execução do bebê caso não se consiga autorização antes do nascimento.
Paris, Midland, Matera, Maracay, Buenos Aires e Bragança
Todas essas cidades tiveram suas evoluções após o cataclisma de forma bem parecida, embora cada uma tenha suas próprias historias e heróis.
Basicamente tudo começou com caos, os sobreviventes lutaram por um tempo entre si até que cada cidade no seu tempo conseguiu formar comunidades civilizadas o suficiente para sobreviver ao caos e organizar seus pactos de proteção, até cada uma em sua forma chegarem ao governo.
Com o tempo e a comunicação reestabelecida essas comunidades começaram a se comunicar entre si e juntamente com a União do Povo Livre, formularam o Tratado Global de Paz Entre os Vivos que mais tarde também foi assinado por Londres.
Comunicação
Logo após o cataclisma toda a comunicação global se perdeu totalmente, tendo como fonte de comunicação apenas rádios de curto alcance e para muitas comunidades e grupos nem isso era uma realidade tendo que utilizar métodos de comunicação mais antigo.
Não se sabe ao certo quando, mas surgiu um grupo chamado Guardiões do Velo Mundo, com o objetivo de viajar pelo mundo e reestabelecer a tecnologia e comunicação global pouco a pouco. Alguns dizem que o grupo saiu de Las Vegas pouco antes de ela cair com muita tecnologia e um grupo gigantesco de especialistas em tecnologia e sobreviventes. Outros dizem que eles vieram de uma pequena cidade chamada Sucre que caiu logo no inicio, mas um pequeno grupo de sobreviventes conseguiu salvar tecnologia e levaram com eles. A única coisa que se sabe na verdade é que as primeiras aparições documentadas foram na América Latina e desde então eles cresceram bastante.
O grupo passava de comunidade em comunidade ensinando e ajudando pequenas comunidades a gerar energia renovável, técnicas de plantio, como fazer armas entre outras coisas. No início o grupo oferecia acesso a conhecimento que eles obtinham através de seus computadores do mundo antigo. Eles utilizavam um servidor local de uma antiga blockchain para ler aprender e distribuir o conhecimento. Conforme foram passando nas comunidades o grupo foi crescendo e foram entrando pessoas com maior conhecimento técnico e aos poucos foi possível começar a ajudar as comunidades a terem seus próprios computadores e sua própria copia da blockchain com as informações necessárias para prosperarem novamente. Foi em 2016 que eles chegaram em Havana e embora o governo tenha insistido para que ficassem eles recusaram pois precisavam continuar com sua missão.
Deixaram Havana com um amplo conhecimento tecnológico do velho mundo e seguiram em frente, com o tempo passaram por varias comunidades, algumas sabiam aproveitar bem o que eles ofereciam, outras os rechaçavam ou apenas ignoravam o conhecimento. Em 2017 o grupo começou a reconstruir e utilizar antenas antigas e tornaram o alcance das suas comunicações maiores. Foi em 2018 que conseguiram conectar o servidor blockchain de Buenos Aires com o da União do Povo Livre voltando a ter um novo tipo de internet no Novo Mundo.
A partir dai a nova era da comunicação chegou e os Guardiões do Velho Mundo foram ajudando as comunidades que tinham capacidade de se conectar a nova rede de comunicação. O que culminou no Tratado Global de Paz Entre os Vivos no final de 2019.
Tratado Global de Paz Entre os Vivos
O Tratado Global de Paz Entre os Vivos é um tratado de colaboração entre as comunidades, foi assinado em Dezembro de 2019 por Buenos Aires, União do Povo Livre, Paris, Midland, Matera, Maracay e Bragança. Posteriormente Londres assinou o tratado em Janeiro de 2021.
O tratado consiste em regras de colaboração e boa convivência em prol do crescimento do Novo Mundo. A colaboração vai de trocas de informações tecnológicas, trocas comerciais, intercâmbios entre os povos para ajudar no crescimento da comunidade.
As comunidades também assumiram junto com o tratado a luta contra a disseminação do vírus e todas trabalham juntas seja com informações ou pesquisa cientifica para acabar com o vírus.
Conclusão
Para fins de gameplay podemos utilizar como base o nosso universo em questões de leis da física e o que é ou não possível. Universe 7 is a universe very similar to the one we live in, with the same geography, political system, very similar culture, among other similarities. In other words, it's a universe that has developed through technology. There's no magic here, or at least not explicit magic.
At least, that was the case until the cataclysmic event that changed the Universe7 and its dynamics and which, to this day, no one can explain. In the year 2012 AD, every human who died came back to life with an uncontrollable hunger and seemingly no ability to remember their life or maintain logical reasoning. They came back as zombies just wanting to feed on any kind of living thing that passed in front of them.
This led to an unprecedented outbreak of death that lasted seven years. This wave of death reduced the human population from 7 billion, the estimated population at the start of the cataclysm, to just 171 million in 2019. Initially the Zombies, or whatever they were called, were the biggest killers, but after the second year the murder rate among humans became as high as that of deaths from attacks by the "dead". In 2019, with the Global Treaty of Peace Among the Living, deaths finally decreased and the population growth rate began to turn slightly positive.
Our records go up to the year 2024 and since the treaty Universe 7 has evolved considerably both in political relations between the surviving communities and in recovering the technology lost in the cataclysm.
Geography and Politics
After the cataclysm, most of the major cities fell and in a short time nature took over again. Some cities were taken over by greenery and animals very quickly, while others took longer, either because of the massive presence of the Zombies or simply because the destruction of the surroundings was so great that it took years for nature to recover. The fact is that after 12 years of reduced population and without humans destroying the forests, the planet became greener and the oceans cleaner. However, the climate has become increasingly fickle in some parts of the globe, making it almost impossible to predict.
Obviously the old maps no longer define borders, and although many cities are still known by their names, many others have simply disappeared. Let's take a look at some examples of extreme changes in large cities and their settings:
Cities in the New World
Las Vegas
In the first years after the cataclysm, Las Vegas was one of the most dangerous cities on the planet. As soon as the first dead rose, the outbreak caught the city off guard, killing many of the people who were there. This in itself wouldn't make it the most dangerous of cities, this phenomenon happened in almost every tourist city or city with a high population density, but after a few months of the cataclysm, many of the survivors who were in the US realized that Las Vegas had an abundance of a very important resource. Rio de Janeiro
The city of Rio de Janeiro was a pillar of resistance at the start of the new world. The city has top-level health care and the largest technological hub in the New World. With time and communication re-established, these communities began to communicate with each other and, together with the Union of Free People, formulated the Global Treaty of Peace Between the Living, which was later also signed by London.
Communication
Soon after the cataclysm, all global communication was completely lost, with only short-range radios as a source of communication, and for many communities and groups even this was not a reality, having to use older methods of communication.
It's not known for sure when, but a group called the Guardians of the Fleece emerged with the aim of traveling the world and re-establishing technology and global communication little by little. Some say that the group left Las Vegas shortly before it collapsed with a lot of technology and a huge group of technology experts and survivors. Others say that they came from a small town called Sucre which collapsed early on, but a small group of survivors managed to salvage the technology and take it with them. The only thing that is really known is that the first documented appearances were in Latin America and since then they have grown a lot.
