Terapia Sin Filtro, es una serie que cuenta con una Temporada hasta la fecha, y con 10 capítulos. Es una serie muy ligera, cómica y que a la vez aborda temas serios, de adultos. Es un equipo de psicólogos terapeutas que no solo dan terapia a pacientes, sino que cada uno atraviesa problemas personales, tratan de superar problemas bastantes reales, y todo esto lo vemos con la justa comedia. Por cierto, en inglés se llama Shriking, sí es algo extraño.
Yo la vi en dos días, cómodamente, y me fue inevitable tener como la sensación de ver Ally McBeal, ya que también era una serie cómica con profesionales lidiando con problemas personales y de sus clientes. Esta serie no tiene tanta factura como Ally McBeal, pero sus dos hombres protagonistas pesan mucho.

It is a team of psychologists who not only give therapy to patients, but each one goes through personal problems, trying to overcome very real problems, and we see all this with just the right amount of comedy. I watched it in two days, comfortably, and it was inevitable to have the feeling of watching Ally McBeal, since it was also a comedy series with professionals dealing with personal problems and those of their clients. This series is not as well-made as Ally McBeal, but its two male protagonists have a lot of weight.

Tenemos al doctor Jimmy interpretado por Jason Segel, que lo recordamos por la serie "Cómo conocí a tu madre", suele ser muy inmaduro, pero se entiende que aunque es Psicólogo Terapeuta está atravesando un duelo por la muerte de su esposa recientemente, le atormenta que lo último que ocurrió entre ellos fue una discusión y que anterior a eso no se llevaban bien, y para completar tiene una hija adolescente que tampoco está llevando bien el duelo, se la pasa peleando con él o ignorándolo, y para completar la chica es la imagen de su madre, es decir que se la recuerda mucho y sobre todo con los conflictos que no superan.
Como pueden ver en el planteamiento del personaje de Jimmy está bien fuerte lo que atraviesa, y debe atender a sus pacientes en medio de esta crisis, y lo hace saliéndose del "Deber Ser" porque se involucra demasiado, más allá de lo profesional.
We have Dr. Jimmy, played by Jason Segel, who we remember from the series "How I Met Your Mother." He is usually very immature, but it is understood that although he is a Therapist Psychologist, he is going through a period of mourning for the recent death of his wife. He is tormented by the fact that the last thing that happened between them was an argument and that before that they did not get along, and to top it off he has a teenage daughter who is not dealing well with the mourning either, she spends her time fighting with him or ignoring him, and to top it off, the girl is the image of her mother, meaning that she is remembered a lot and especially with the conflicts that they do not overcome.
As you can see in the approach of Jimmy's character, what he is going through is very strong, and he must attend to his patients in the middle of this crisis, and he does so by going beyond the "Duty Be" because he gets too involved, beyond the professional.

Ahora vamos con el otro protagonista y es el peso pesado de Harrinson Ford, quien es el dueño o jefe del centro de Terapia, y que también lidia con problemas bien fuertes, ya que le diagnosticaron Parkinson, está en sus primeros signos, tiene una hija a la cual prácticamente abandonó tras su divorcio cuando ella era pequeña, ella ya tiene una familia. Es muy fuerte saber ese diagnóstico y tratar de acercarse a su hija, luego de haber sido un padre ausente.
Personalmente, agradezco que Harrinson Ford esté formando parte de esta serie, el siempre recordado Indiana Jones ya está bastante mayor, pero sigue trabajando y entregándonos su trabajo.

It is very hard to know that diagnosis and try to get closer to his daughter, after having been an absent father.
Personally, I am grateful that Harrinson Ford is taking part in this series, the always remembered Indiana Jones is already quite old, but he continues working and giving us his work.

La tercera psicóloga y terapeuta de la serie, es la Dra. Gaby, un personaje genial, lleno de energía y muy positiva, que atraviesa por un divorcio reciente, lo que le afecta mucho ya que ella da terapia de parejas y sin embargo ha fracasado en su matrimonio.
Esta situación o arco del personaje fue resolviéndose en esta primera temporada bastante bien. Ella es un gran apoyo para Jimmy y llega a tener una buena relación con todos los personajes.
The third psychologist and therapist in the series is Dr. Gaby, a brilliant character, full of energy and very positive, who is recently going through a divorce, which affects her a lot since she gives couples therapy and yet has failed in her marriage.
This situation or character arc was resolved in this first season quite well. She is a great support for Jimmy and ends up having a good relationship with all the characters.

Otro de los personajes secundarios que me gustó mucho es Liz, una vecina que vive con su esposo, ya sus hijos se fueron de la casa, y pienso que sufre un poco del Síndrome del Nido Vacío, porque aunque es un apoyo incondicional para la hija adolescente de Jimmy, incluso para él mismo, peca de entrometerse demasiado.
A lo largo de los 10 capítulos de esta primera temporada, si se nota el progreso o arco del personaje de Liz, y me gustó mucho. Además, es demasiado genial y graciosa, me gustó.
Another of the secondary characters that I really liked is Liz, a neighbor who lives with her husband, since her children have already left home, and I think she suffers a bit from Empty Nest Syndrome, because although she is an unconditional support for Jimmy's teenage daughter, even for himself, she is guilty of interfering too much.
Throughout the 10 chapters of this first season, you can see the progress or arc of Liz's character, and I really liked it. Also, she is so cool and funny, I liked it.

La serie me gustó mucho, su comedia es bastante en su justa medida, lo que si quisiera que fuese más fuerte son los temas fuertes, se tratan de temas de salud mental y actualmente son muy relevantes en nuestras vidas. No entiendo si es que en esta primera temporada estaban evaluando la aceptación de mezclar comedia y temas de salud mental, pero me gustó mucho esta propuesta y quisiera que fuesen más profundos, ya que se quedan cortos muchas veces o llegan a resoluciones bastantes rápidas de las situaciones personales o las de sus pacientes.
I really liked the series, its comedy is pretty much in the right measure, but I would like to see more of the strong themes, which deal with mental health issues and are currently very relevant in our lives. I don't understand if in this first season they were evaluating the acceptance of mixing comedy and mental health issues, but I really liked this proposal and I would like them to go deeper, since they often fall short or reach rather quick resolutions to personal situations or those of their patients.

LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTÓ: Es la química de los personajes, sentí que cada actor en su personaje estaba bien y que se relacionaban o tenían mucha química, eso lo sentí. Aunque ciertamente Harrinson Ford es el peso pesado en la serie, los demás tenían sus tiempos y era agradable.
LO QUE NO ME GUSTÓ: Tal vez algunas personas como mi hijo tienen el reclamo de que esperaba que fuese más cómica, pero yo por el contrario siento que fue cómica en su justa medida y mi reclamo sería en que desearía que abordaran más seriamente los problemas de salud mental, que se tomen su tiempo para darle profundidad y no salir tan rápido o fácil de ellas. En nuestros tiempos eso es muy valioso.
WHAT I LIKED MOST: It was the chemistry of the characters, I felt that each actor in their character was good and that they related or had a lot of chemistry, I felt that. Although Harrinson Ford is certainly the heavyweight in the series, the others had their times and were nice.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: Maybe some people like my son have the complaint that he expected it to be more comical, but on the contrary I feel that it was comical in its right measure and my complaint would be that I wish they would address mental health issues more seriously, that they take their time to give it depth and not get out of it so quickly or easily. In our times that is very valuable.
