Es una serie que conto con 17 temporadas, cada una más intensa que la anterior, y que a pesar de enfocarse en como su nombre lo dice mentes criminales, analizar todo lo que ellos piensan o al menos entender lo que tienen en su cabeza, la oportunidad perfecta para atraparlos y darles fin a sus daños, cada temporada fue interesante y con nuevos descubrimientos que la anterior. Se trataba de un grupo de 5 a 7 personas, al principio liderada por Gideon (Mandy Patinkin), luego paso a Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), quienes se encargaba de analizar el perfil del criminal y apoyarse con su equipo entre analistas, comunicadora e informático, lograría entender y encontrar a cualquier criminal que se les presentara.

Cada caso dependía de la prioridad y frecuencias de los asesinatos, había desde asesinos seriales hasta asesinos que quizás solo llevaban dos muertes, pero dependiendo de la zona o ritmo que este lo hubiese hecho debían darle prioridad antes que a otro. Realmente el tiempo no les alcanzaba para revisar cada caso y poder asistir a todos, la encargada de revisarlo era J.J (A.J.Cook) quien ciertamente buscaba ayudar a todos, pero no siempre era fácil porque el miedo a equivocarse y dejar pasar un caso antes que otro que fuese inmediato era latente, pero debía ser objetiva.

Realmente cada personaje le da un toque al grupo como Derek Morgan (Sherma Moore) quien con su fuerza y agilidad de mandato perseguía más rápido a los delincuentes, Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) un joven inteligente, demasiado perspicaz, capaz de ver más allá de lo simple, un gran apoyo al equipo, Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) quien va en competencia con Spencer en inteligencia y con buenos contactos para apoyar el equipo, David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) quien se vuelve escritor de historia criminalista y regresa para avanzar con los casos ,también esta Penélope García (Kirsten Vangsness) quien es la informática encargada de toda la tecnología para ubicar lugares o personas de una forma más rápida.

Cada uno tenía su toque para poder encontrar más rápido a los asesinos, a medidas que avanzo las temporadas algunos se fueron otros lastimosamente mueren, la vida de ellos se vuelve terrible al enfrentar estos psicópatas que a pesar de que algunos son capturados de una vez otros se vuelven como un dolor de muela, acechándose para hacerles daños y acabar con su vida, realmente son historias fuertes pero que nos enseña que en este mundo hay tanto tipo de personas que hasta que no entendemos sus gestos o evaluamos su perfil no los conocemos de verdad como son y los que son capaces de hacer hasta que ya lo han hecho.
