The disaster artist, is a feature film released on 01 December 2017, under the direction of James Franco, remembered for his role as Harry Osborn in Spiderman 1 and Spiderman 2, but this time he makes a cameo, playing the main role of Tommy Wiseau. The film is based on the novel by actor Greg Sestero, which basically tells the story of the making of perhaps one of the worst films ever made, Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" in 2002.
Where this character trying to be a recognized actor, taking some acting classes, in which he was very bad at this job, meets Greg Sestero in the city of San Francisco - United States, and together they go to try their luck in the city of Los Angeles, in order to undertake in acting. But if they were successful in this field, they came up with the idea of making a feature film, which was written by Tommy Wiseau, who would also be the one to completely finance the film, with a total amount of 6 million dollars, to then raise only 1800,000 dollars.
The disaster artist, es un largometraje estrenado el 01 de diciembre de 2017, bajo la dirección de James Franco, recordado por su papel de Harry Osborn de Spiderman 1 y Spiderman 2, pero que en ésta ocasión hace un cameo, interpretando el papel principal de Tommy Wiseau. La película se basa en la novela del actor Greg Sestero, que básicamente cuenta como fue el rodaje y parte de su vida en la realización de quizás unas de las peores películas realizadas titulada como " The Room" de Tommy Wiseau en 2002.
Donde este personaje tratando de ser un actor reconocido, tomando así algunas clases de actuación, en la cual era muy pésimo en este oficio, conoce a Greg Sestero en la ciudad de San Francisco - Estado Unidos, y juntos se van a probar suerte en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, para así poder emprender en la actuación. Pero si éxito en ese ámbito, se les ocurren la idea de poder hacer un largometraje, que fue escrito por Tommy Wiseau, quien también sería el que finciara completamente la película, con un monto total de 6 millones de dólares, para luego recaudar sólo 1800000 dólares.
It was the failure in the attempt to be recognized actors, which allowed them to decide to create their own film, although they did not have the knowledge about cinematography, and basically their whole production was a disaster, to then have lousy results, in all the technical aspects of the film and the actor, it became the worst film ever made, according to several film critics.
However, this would change over the years, making this film a cult film, so much so that James Franco's film The Disaster Artist was nominated for the Oscar, Golden Globe and Sant Jordi awards, in different nominations, winning some of them.
Fue el fracaso en el intento de ser reconocidos actores , lo que les permitió decidir crear su propia película, aunque no tenían los conicimientos sobre cinematografía, y básicamente todo su producción fue un desastre, para luego tener resultados pésimos, en todos los aspectos técnicos del film y de lo actorql, se convirtió en la peor película jamás relaizada, según varios críticos de cine.
Sin embargo, esto cambiaría en el transcurso de los años, haciendo de éste largometraje, una película de culto, tanto así que se llegaría a realizar la película The disaster artist de James Franco, nomanida para los premios Óscar, Globo de Oro y Sant Jordi, en diferentes nominaciones, ganando algunas de ellas.
In the film we see how the story unfolds from the moment that Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero meet at an acting academy in San Francisco, and little by little they create a friendship between them, by dint of their dreams of wanting to be recognised artists, to then go to Los Angeles, the city where they would make the film "The Room", which I haven't actually seen, but with this adaptation I already have an idea of what the film was like.
The film is categorised as a dramatic comedy, due to the fact of the eloquence and comical acts of Tommy's character, and on the other hand, like every film, it has its dramatic part, where there is a point where the characters are torn between their emotions and mistakes as individuals. Besides, it shows the will of Tomny Wisaeu to want to make his film against all odds, and although at the beginning it did not stand out as one of the best films of the time, it would later go down in the history of the seventh art as a cult film.
En la película se ve como se desarrolla la historia desde el momento que Tommy Wiseau y Greg Sestero se conocen en una academia de actuación en San Francisco, y poco a poco van creando una amistad entre ellos, a fuerza de sus sueños de querer ser unos artistas reconocidos, para luego irse a Los Ángeles, ciudad donde realizarían la película "The Room", que en realidad no la he visto, pero con esta adaptación ya tengo una idea de como fue la película.
El film se carategoriza como una comedia dramática, por el hecho de las elocuencias y actos cómicos del personaje de Tommy, y por otro lado como toda película tiene su parte dramática, donde existe un punto donde los personajes se debaten entre sus emociones y errores como individuos. Aparte se muestra la voluntad de Tomny Wisaeu de querer hacer su película contra todo pronóstico, y aunque a principio no se destaco como una de las mejores películas de la época, luego pasaría a la historia del séptimo arte, como una película de culto.
On the other hand, the character of Greg Sestero, was played by the actor and brother of James Franco, Dave Franco, who adapted in physique and as a person to Sestero. The real Tommy Wiseau also had a cameo in the film, in an extra role that nobody could really recognise. Knowing Tommy and James Franco, they established a working relationship, that between interviews, James Franco managed to put together part of the script of this film, which will undoubtedly make many people laugh more than a few times.
Por otra parte el personaje de Greg Sestero, fue interpretado por el también actor y hermano de James Franco, Dave Franco, quien se adaptó en físico y como persojana a Sestero. También el verdadero Tommy Wiseau, tuvo un cameo en la película, con un papel extra, que la verdad nadie lo podia reconocer. A sabiendas que Tommy y James Franco, establecieron una relación de trabajo, que entre entrevistas, James Franco logró armar parte del guión de ésta obra filmográfica, que sin duda hará a muchas sacarles más de unas carcajadas.
