Como ya dije, la historia termina en tragedia, poco a poco mueren varios personajes en el transcurso de la trama y muchas muertes ni importancia tienen, o al menos así lo veo yo, no es como que no se note que a los personajes les duelan esas muertes, sino el cómo transcurre todo, como que a fin de cuentas la vida humana perdió mucho valor en ese futuro distópico, pero al final es cuando más gente muere, incluyendo a los personajes principales, incluyendo el protagonista debido a que este siguió paso a paso el camino de Maine, lo cual hace que termine padeciendo del mismo síndrome llamado "cyber psicosis", algo así como volverse loco por tener tantos implantes cibernéticos y que no tienen cura o tratamiento en particular, lo mejor es tratar los síntomas de inmediato, desde la más mínima señal retirando los implantes poco a poco y quedarse sin implantes por un tiempo.

Sin embargo David no quiso quitarse los implantes, aún tenía un último trabajo el cual realizar, trabajo que no sé si decir que pudo completar o no, puesto que las cosas salen en parte bien y en gran parte mal, en medio de varios episodios cada vez más constantes y duraderos de “cyber psicosis” portando el exoesqueleto y usando el Sandevistan más que nunca (cosa que le hace daño) a duras penas logra completar parte de sus últimos deseos, que era defender a sus amigos hasta la muerte para que estos pudiesen escapar, por lo menos obtener el dinero de la misión de alguna manera y más importante aún, lograr rescatar a su amada Lucy, al final a David ya ni le importaba morir por todos ellos, aunque sólo sobreviven Falco y Lucy, me hubiese encantado ver a David escapando y lograr tener una mejor vida en paz junto a Lucy, pero bueno, la historia es una tragedia, Falco y Lucy logran escapar y al final vemos a Lucy llegar a la luna, en donde hay un lugar que si mal no me equivoco ha de ser una especie de hábitat a modo de ciudad, en donde al parecer las cosas han de funcionar de manera diferente, después de todo, no solamente es Lucy quien soñaba con irse a ese lugar, una utopía quizás.
