Greetings Hivers of the Blockchain city, this is the fixer @sutkyo, I hope you had an entertaining, productive and excellent week, this time I come to close with the review of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, I already recommend it to you so let's get to the point about the series that revived the taste for the video game on which it is based with a few spoilers along the way, since in short, it is a good series, perhaps it lacked some development, but it is better that it be this way, short, concisely, precisely, no filler or almost no filler a fully canon prologue to the franchise that is told in 10 chapters, now, i have no idea what connections are between the anime and the game i just know it takes place in Night City and that Adam Smasher is the villain in both stories.
The gifs were made and edited by me taking direct screen recordings from the series.
Here is told the story of a young man who did not even have a chance to finish high school, not so much because his mother died, but because in itself, in a certain way he was at a disadvantage in every way, I was thinking for a moment while watching the series that if maybe he had just stayed in school no matter what, maybe he would have gotten a good job, but well, it took me some time to understand that he was only going to be damned if he kept going to classes, although not just for the fact that he was tempted to continue on a scholarship, although simply after putting up with his bully's hell and never giving up looking for an honest job he may have made something of his life even after years of exploitative work, but it's Cyberpunk, we're talking about a futuristic dystopia where the rich prevail over the poor whether they are talented or not, quoting Maine "The more money you have the higher you are".
I became even more doubtful when Tanaka told him that they wanted him back in his studies because he was supposed to be a super bright student, how naive I was haha, in fact, I was quite naive from the beginning, especially when Lucy took him to his house, that is, it was too obvious and even so I didn't realize it hahaha, but anyway, after chapter 6 we see how our character takes a leap of maturity and experience in his personality, basically following in the footsteps of Maine almost in his totality since in the end everything ends in tragedy.
Just after Lucy enters Tanaka's brain and gets all the intelligence they need to sell Faraday, she realizes that they wanted to rip the sandevistan out of david, a kind of prosthetic spinal column that makes him terrifyingly fast for a few milliseconds. , is the reason why the anime itself begins, Lucy never told David nothig to not worry him and that he himself would do something crazy, but in the end Faraday got what he wanted by kidnapping Lucy to get the info, using a lot of tricks and even worse, he almost manages to kill two birds with one stone by making David and his team obtain a special exoskeleton together with the Sandevistan to give both to Adam Smasher as a gift from the Militech Corporation since he is something like his favorite mercenary for they or what do I know xd.
As I said, the story ends in tragedy, little by little several characters die during the plot and many deaths are unimportant, or at least that's how I see it, it's not like we don't notice that those deaths it hurting for the characters, but how everything happens, like in the end human life lost a lot of value in that dystopian future, but in the end it's when more people die, including many of the main characters, even the protagonist because he kept going to step the path of Maine, which makes him end up suffering from the same syndrome called "Cyberpsycho", something like going crazy for having so many cybernetic implants and that they have no cure or treatment in particular, it is best to treat the symptoms immediately , from the slightest sign removing the implants little by little and staying without implants for a while.
However, David did not want to remove the implants, he still had one last job to do, a job that I do not know whether to say that he was able to complete or not, since things go partly well and largely badly, in the midst of several episodes each. increasingly constant and lasting of "cyberpsycho" wearing the exoskeleton and using the Sandevistan more than ever (which does a lot of damage) he barely manages to complete part of his last wishes, which was to defend his friends to the death so that these could escape, at least get the money from the mission somehow and more importantly, manage to rescue his beloved Lucy, in the end David didn't even care if he died for all of them, although only Falco and Lucy survive, I would have loved see David escaping and manage to have a better life in peace with Lucy, but well, the story is a tragedy, Falco and Lucy manage to escape and in the end we see Lucy reach the moon, where there is a place that if I'm not wrong, it must be one kind of habitat as a city, where apparently things have to work differently, after all, it is not only Lucy who dreamed of going to that place, a utopia perhaps.
Once again I recommend it again, despite the fact that I said many spoilers, I ended up not really giving many details, the truth is that I ended up surrounding and intermingling many important parts of the plot, but even so, I recommend them again, the truth is that the series does not leave much to be desired, it is short, concise and synthesizes many events without wasting anything and without padding or almost without padding, so if you have not seen it, what are you waiting for to see it and leave me your delicious vote in the post? if you already saw it and want to give an opinion about it you can leave your comment, I would love to talk about it, meanwhile I say goodbye hoping you have a great week, below I leave you the theme of the opening in full version, which does not I had only never heard of the group, but I love this song and many of the songs of this group, I ended up updating my repertoire haha, maybe you will like it too, @sutkyo the fixer disconnects.
