Review
Liz is a young woman who had to change her identity to escape her past, she wanted to rebuild her life by getting married and starting a family. She has a good husband, a stepson and a daughter and when she felt safe she was found by the preacher, a demon who had been stalking her since her childhood.

Liz es una mujer joven que tuvo que cambiar de identidad para huir de su pasado, quiso reconstruir su vida al casarse y formar una familia. Tiene un buen esposo, un hijastro y una hija y cuando se sentía segura la encontró el predicador, un demonio que la acechaba desde su infancia.
Plot
The Preacher's Daughter is a story about the life of Liz, the only daughter of a married couple where her mother is a homemaker and her father was the priest of the community.
Liz's mother was a battered woman, physically and mentally unable to disobey her husband. She struggled to meet his needs, however, she did not love him and every day she moved further away, infuriating her husband.
On the other hand, there is Liz's father, a scripture fanatic who is troubled by his own impure thoughts and desires towards his daughter; however, he justifies his thoughts without feeling guilty, on the contrary, he clings to the belief that he is the owner of his daughter's life and her mission is to assume the role of her mother, for that is what God sent her for.
After some terrible events with her parents, Liz decides to escape from that hell, but she had the bad luck to be sold in a brothel as a child, learning to survive in that world and when she thought she was free of danger she had to escape again, filling the rest of the film with suspense and action.

Argumento
La hija del predicador es una historia que trata sobre la vida de Liz, hija única de un matrimonio donde su mamá se dedica a atender el hogar y su padre era el sacerdote de la comunidad.La mamá de Liz era una mujer maltratada, física y mentalmente incapaz de desobedecer a su esposo. Luchaba por satisfacer sus necesidades, sin embargo, ella no lo amaba y cada día se alejaba más, enfureciendo a su esposo.
Por otro lado, está el papá de Liz fanático de las santas escrituras quien se encuentra perturbado por sus propios pensamientos y deseos impuros hacia su hija; sin embargo, justifica sus pensamientos sin sentir culpa, al contrario, se aferra a creer que es dueño de la vida de su hija y está tiene como misión asumir el rol de su madre, para eso la envió Dios.

Opinion
Liz's character is full of fiction, it is almost impossible to believe that a life can endure so much suffering without breaking before and for that reason, her end seemed very logical to me, besides many women who have suffered abuse will identify with her because she faced her fears to her victimizer and came out ahead even physically transgressing herself in order to escape.
I liked the psychological stress and suspense that was maintained throughout the film, it seemed like it was never going to end.
Throughout the film we can see the struggle of good against evil, which is found within each character under the figure of mother, father, or friend even within the protagonist herself and sometimes circumstances make these demons grow stronger and prevent the good feelings that are dormant from coming out, that made the characters more human.
The special effects and makeup in strong scenes were determinant to achieve an excellent impression, also the costumes give that touch of antiquity corresponding to the story.
Although I felt entertained in the last minutes, I felt that it was never going to end, so much stress overwhelmed me, maybe that was the director's idea, but it is a double-edged sword because many people could leave without finishing watching it, as it gives the impression that they stretched it longer than they should have.
I'm not sure I would recommend it, but if you like movies with difficult stories, this one is for you.

El personaje de Liz está lleno de ficción, es casi imposible creer que una vida pueda soportar tanto sufrimiento sin romperse antes y por eso, su final me pareció muy lógico, además muchas mujeres que han sufrido abusos se identificaran con ella porque ella se enfrentó a sus miedos a su victimario y salió adelante incluso transgrediendo físicamente a ella misma para poder escapar.Me gustó el estrés psicológico y el suspenso que se mantuvo durante toda la película, parecía que nunca iba a acabar.
En toda la película podemos ver la lucha del bien contra el mal, que se encuentra dentro de cada personaje bajo la figura de madre, padre, o amigo incluso dentro de la misma protagonista y a veces las circunstancias hacen que estos demonios se fortalezcan y eviten salir los buenos sentimientos que están dormidos, eso hizo que los personajes fueran más humanos.
Los efectos especiales y el maquillaje en escenas fuertes fueron determinantes para lograr una excelente impresión, además el vestuario le da ese toque de antigüedad correspondiente a la historia.
Aunque me sentí entretenida en los últimos minutos, sentí que nunca iba a acabar, tanto estrés me agobió, tal vez esa era la idea del director, pero es un arma de doble filo porque muchas personas podían irse sin terminar de verla, ya que da la impresión de que la alargaron más de lo que debían.
No estoy muy segura de recomendarla, pero si te gustan las películas con historias difíciles, esta es para ti.
