After a night out with friends, a 21-year-old girl leaves in the middle of the night to go home, but on the way she is intercepted by a hooded man who sets her on fire, and she dies on the night of the 12th of October in France.

This film is based on real events, a murder that happened some years ago and has still not been solved, the whole focus of the story is based on the interrogations and the construction of the last hours of this woman's life.

Después de compartir con unas amigas, una joven de 21 años se retira en medio de la noche hacia su casa, pero en el camino es interceptada por una persona encapuchada que le prende fuego, muriendo en el lugar una noche del 12 de octubre, en Francia.

Esta película está basada en hechos reales, un asesinato ocurrido hace algunos años y que aún no ha sido resuelto, todo el enfoque de la historia está basado en los interrogatorios y la construcción de las últimas horas de vida de esta mujer.

Plot

It all begins with the very event that is being investigated, and throughout the film the suspense and anguish felt by the investigators themselves to find the culprit is maintained. Without any clues, they decide to investigate the victim's personal life and different points of view and questions begin to emerge about the young woman's sex life, even justifying her murder by her own behavior. A rather macho view, but one that is common in cases of femicide, asked how many times we hear from people close to her or in the media an insensitive comment like she asked for it, who knows what she was doing, and even a decree of this well done and these are not my exaggerations, I have heard, read or seen it in both men and women.

Going back to the review, all the points of view and comments come from the characters investigating the case, the policemen themselves and the perspective they have on female sexuality. The protagonist is not the dead girl, but the officer who takes responsibility for this case, making the character a correct, honest man, with values and passionate about finding the truth.

There were moments in the story where I thought he himself had been the murderer of this girl and was trying to cover up all the clues, but he was not, somehow he shows the police figure worthy of his position by being responsible and concerned about what happened to this particular woman, affecting his own personal life.

As I watched the film, I felt like an investigator tying up the loose ends, suspecting everyone, wanting to find the killer, while at the same time wondering if it was right to judge this girl for having lived her sexuality without taboo or restriction. Who hated it so much to end her life in such a horrendous way? In the film all the investigators focused on a man, they claimed that men are the ones who do this kind of murders, but what if it was a woman, it could have been a friend envious of her luck with men, or a woman jealous of her boyfriend, women are also murderers and I dare to say that because we are women, we are calculating and very intelligent, and we can commit the perfect crime.

Who could have been the murderer? It is a question that remains unanswered, and I hope that someday this case will be solved, and they can make a continuation of this story.

Argumento
Todo comienza con el mismo suceso que se investiga, durante toda la película se mantiene el suspenso y la angustia que sienten los mismos investigadores por encontrar al culpable. Sin ninguna pista, deciden investigar la vida personal de la víctima y empiezan a surgir distintos puntos de vista y cuestionamientos sobre la vida sexual de esta joven, incluso justificando su asesinato por su misma conducta. Una visión bastante machista, pero que es común en caso de feminicidio, preguntó cuántas veces escuchamos de personas allegadas o en los medios un comentario insensible como ella se lo buscó, quien sabe qué estaría haciendo, y hasta un decreto de esta bien hecho y no son exageraciones mías, lo he oído, leído o visto tanto en hombres como en mujeres.

Volviendo a la reseña, todos los puntos de vista y los comentarios surgen desde los personajes que investigan el caso, los mismos policías y la perspectiva que tienen de la sexualidad femenina. El protagonista no es la joven muerta, sino el oficial que asume la responsabilidad de este caso, convirtiendo al personaje como un hombre correcto, honrado, con valores y apasionado por encontrar la verdad.

Hubo momentos en la historia donde pensé que él mismo había sido el asesino de esta chica e intentaba encubrir todas las pistas, pero no era así de alguna manera muestra la figura policial digna de su cargo siendo responsable y preocupado por lo que le pasó a esta mujer en particular, afectando su propia vida personal.

Mientras veía la película, me sentí como una investigadora atando los cabos, sospechando de todos, deseando encontrar al asesino, mientras al mismo tiempo pensaba si era correcto juzgar a esta muchacha por haber vivido su sexualidad sin tabú ni restricción. ¿Quién lo odiaba tanto como para acabar con su vida de esta forma tan horrenda?, en la película todos los investigadores se enfocaron en un hombre, ellos alegaban que los hombres son los que hacen este tipo de asesinatos, pero ¿y si fue una mujer?, pudiera haber sido una amiga envidiosa de su suerte con los hombres, o una mujer celosa de su novio, las mujeres también son asesinas y me atrevo a decir por el hecho de ser mujer, que somos calculadoras y bien inteligentes pudiendo cometer el crimen perfecto.

¿Quién habrá sido el asesino? Es una pregunta que quedó sin respuesta y espero que algún día este caso sea resuelto y puedan hacer una continuación de esta historia.

Opinion

While I liked the way the film unfolded, I didn't like the use of an unsolved case to glorify the police function, regardless of the pain of the victim's relatives. That's irony.

It's a good film, they handled the timing well, I thought the performances were good even though I don't know any of the actors.

I hope that soon this case will be reopened and the murderer will be found. I think this is one of the worst ways to die, peace to the soul of this young woman.

Aunque me gustó cómo se desarrolló la película, no me gustó que usaran un caso sin resolver para enaltecer la función policial, sin importar el dolor de los familiares de la víctima. Eso es ironía.

Es una buena película, manejaron bien los tiempos, las actuaciones me parecieron buenas aunque no conozco a ninguno de los actores.

Espero que pronto sea reabierto este caso y encuentren al asesino. Creo que de tantas formas de morir esta es una de las peores, paz al alma de esta joven.
