Season 5 of Stranger Things: Cast, Trailer, Release Date, and All the Information Yet to Come

It was planned for Stranger Things 5 filming to start in May 2023. But after six weeks of fruitless talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers on a new film and scripted TV contract, the Writers Guild of America formally went on strike during the first week of May. The Duffer Brothers spoke with fans on the official Twitter account of the Stranger Things writers on May 6. They wrote, "Writing doesn't end when filming starts." "Despite our great cast and staff, we are eager to begin production, but it is not feasible at this time due to the strike. We're hoping for a fair settlement quickly so that everyone may return to their jobs. Till then, bye and bye.(

Both good and bad news are available: while we know that Stranger Things season five will eventually air, we are unsure of when.

The actors' strike appears to be the reason for the lengthy delay.

Matt and Ross Duffer stated in May that they support the writers' strike and that production on season five won't start until the strike is over, which it has already been after an agreement was struck in the fall of 2023 between the union and the studios.

Considering this, the current strike by the performers, and the enormous amount of post-production work required to create a season of the popular show, we would venture to guess that Stranger Things will return.

The Duffer Brothers also alluded to the possibility that while Stranger Things might be ending, its universe might not. "The world of Stranger Things has a ton of exciting stories left to tell; there are new mysteries, new adventures, and new unexpected heroes."
