The first Hollywood horror film that I had watched was Drag me to hell. it was really scary at that time. It was about demons and witches and after that, I had watched so many horror films but the one that scared me a lot was the conjuring 1 with the story of Anabelle doll. the conjuring is one of the scariest movies out there based on true stories. After watching the conjuring 1. I started to watch most of the horror films out there, from year wise from google search and until I found the movie INSIDIOUS 2010.
INSIDIOUS by James Wan is one of the best horror films out there. In this movie, you can hear some of the scariest sound effects and camera direction which will make you scared as hell. The biggest difference that INSIDIOUS has from other horror films out there is the concept of Astral Projection which means separation of soul and the physical body. after the separation, the soul can travel in a world with evil spirits and good spirits and at the time of the Astral Projection, your body is venerable as other souls can possess the body without a soul.
So the film starts with a flashback of Josh as a little child and while sleeping he sees an old woman following him everywhere he goes and In this film Patrick Wilson has the role of Josh Lambert as Dad of a family of 5 with 2 sons and 1 baby daughter. who moved to a new house and in there, Dalton Lambert (one of his sons) finds a secret red door while sleeping which leads to the evil spirits and gets trapped in the Astral dimension with the fire faced demon because there is no soul inside of Dalton Lambert he goes into coma and that started to attract the other souls around him and started to hunt at night. One day Josh's wife hears some paranormal sounds while playing the piano from their babies room through Walkie-talkie. after that incident, things began to get worse day by day. So Renai Lambert convinces Josh to move to a new place as the current house is haunted and Josh agrees to Renai. they moved to a new house with Dalton in coma.
Renai meats Josh's mother Lorraine Lambert and explains to her that. Things I experienced might sound crazy and Josh's mother says that she is not crazy. after that Renai sees more and more paranormal activities inside the new house also and then one day Renai say to Josh about the incidents still happening in the new house alongside Lorraine Lambert but Josh didn't listen and then Lorraine Lambert convinces him that what Renai saying is real as she saw it before while she was checking Dalton
after telling that suddenly the fire faced demon appears behind Josh and Lorraine Lambert starts to screams after that they decide to call Elise Rainier who is an expert in paranormal activities at first she sends her assistants to check if it's true and one of the assistants finds the presents of other souls inside the house and calls Elise

Elise is a person who is able to see Evil spirits and Steven also called "Specs" draws the demons that Elise see in her sight and Elise tries to find the fire headed demon inside the house and finally finds it over the daltons bed and steven draws the drawing of the demon. After that Elise says that we should act fast before this evil spirit enters into Dalton's body and from then the rescue of daltons soul take place. Elise explains that Dalton Lambert and his father Josh Lambert has the power of Astral Projection and the only way to get daltons soul back from the Astral dimension is for Josh to go to the Astral dimension and Josh enters the Astral dimension and finds Dalton's soul trapped inside a room with a red door and inside the room, there was the fire faced demon also Josh tries to run with dalton but he gets lost in the dark Astral dimension and can't find the way through until Renai tells him to follow the voice through his physical body. it helped Josh to find the way back but also other souls along with him including the old women in the mirror shown at the starting of the movie. as Dalton and Josh reach their home Josh says to Dalton to go and looks at the mirror next to him and see the old women he asks her who are you and tells her to leave him alone. after that, the old women disappear from the mirror and possesses Josh's body at that time. Elise see the difference in Josh's appearance and tries to take a photo and see the old women in the photo instead of Josh and the old women kills Elies
The sound effects and camera directions are so perfect with an amazing storyline which makes it a must-watch if you love horror movies
