Hello beautiful people, how are you? It's been a long time since I wanted to come back and talk to you again, I want to tell you my experience about a sequel of a movie that I loved as a child, "Enchanted" is that twist of a princess story that I had only seen and Sheck is something that made me fall in love and when I heard about "Disenchanted" I got very excited.
I saw this movie on Disney Plus with my mom, I am not a specialist in this subject and sorry if I am ignorant, but as a viewer I give my opinion of how I felt and I was expecting something else. I loved watching again the actors Patrick Dempsey (Robert Philip), James Marsden (Prince Edward), Amy Adams (Giselle), Idina Menzel (Nancy Tremaine), Gabriella Baldacchino (Morgan Philip). I remembered perfectly the songs and how beautiful I felt with the first movie.
The concept of the stepmother I think it is a mockery of how movies or stories become repetitive with the same pattern of bad girl with a happily ever after, for Giselle I felt that same nice vibe and almost, almost the same but there is something that does not fit, I did not enjoy the songs, nor the dancing and part of the plot was so boring. I don't know if it's because I'm growing up but I feel that the characters lacked development, at the end they wanted to redeem themselves with Morgan but I feel that it ended up weird.
As I said, I loved the songs in the first movie but I found it a little tedious that for everything they sang here and I didn't like the songs so aha, on the other hand I wanted to see a little more of the other world along with Edward and Nancy I thought they would be protagonists too and that simple idea got me excited but I was put off by their little participation in the plot, Robert is another ghost in the story, here the focus is on Giselle and Morga how their relationship develops which in real life was good but had deteriorated.
I feel that as a reflection...well this has no reflection. If we turn it around we see that not always the things we want are as we dream, we just have to learn to live things as they are (although not in all occasions) Disenchanted passed without pain or glory although if I was excited the end as it was presented, if it was as exciting as the first although it is half as good. That's all, thanks for listening.
