Pacific Rim es una película que trata de traernos el bonito mundo de los Mechas y Kaijus Japonés que en mi caso disfruto enormemente porque en ellos no busco una trama complicada, solo busco una excusa para ver como se masacran Monstruos y Robots Gigantes entre ellos hasta volverse cuerpos inertes desmembrados sobre el suelo.
Una de las habilidades mas grandes que tiene el ser humano es el poder de su imaginación, es tan infinita como el universo pero tiene una gran debilidad, es presa de la Jaula en la realidad que vivimos, este tipo de film me permite destrozar ese escudo, derretirlo para así disfrutar de toda la imaginación que pueden imprimir directores y encargados de efectos especiales.
Este tipo de películas considero no es para nada fácil de realizar por el mundo que quiere transmitir que parte de dos elementos difíciles de manejar argumentalmente, el funcionamiento orgánico de los monstruos y la Tecnología para enfrentarles pero hay uno real mas poderoso de vencer y es el presupuesto.
Estos proyectos requieren si o sí ser un éxito porque pienso en mi ignorancia es mucha la inversión que se realiza en este tipo de film y los inversionistas se arriesgan mucho a perder porque a la final el film será esclavo del argumento cuyas críticas pueden destrozar fácilmente sin apreciar el núcleo o esencia de este genero que es en sí las batallas entre Robots y Monstruos.

El Director y Guionistas han hecho una gran labor porque sus ideas pienso están adelantadas, cuando veo la estructura del film, fácilmente se pudiera sacar una trilogía de esto pero son las limitaciones reales los que les obligan a lanzar toda la carne en el asador quedando un poco crudo el producto pero comprendo el por que lo hace ya que la incertidumbre de no saber si la película será un éxito los limita porque si fracasa, simplemente no continuara.
El detalle a criticar es el mismo de siempre con este tipo de films, algunas tramas humanas que en mi caso no despiertan interés, una elección de actriz Rinko Kikuchi como Mako Mori que no me convence para nada, este es un producto comercial totalmente, entonces tienes que darle una mujer físicamente potente, preciosa, dominante y no la veo, una muchacha frágil con unos bracitos que no le veo apta para batalla, en esto se necesita músculos y mas músculos, como me encantaría ver una mujer con un físico poderoso pero claro hay que darle importancia a argumentos de traumas psicológicos absurdos.
Pacific Rim se lleva un score de 7 chiquitos de 10, un primer acto que me impacta gratamente, no me fastidia con diálogos inútiles ni momentos lentos, fue directo al grano lo cual agradezco para pasar a un segundo acto que fue lo que mas disfrute porque me da lo que busco, quijadas de monstruos destrozadas y mutilaciones.
Ahora el tercer acto si que tiene detalles porque falta el desarrollo de argumento, siempre se va a ser esclavo del argumento PERO la película me entretiene totalmente y salgo feliz luego de verla ya que no puedo pedirle mas, buenos golpes, buenas batallas y buenos efectos especiales.

Lo mejor del film es el segundo acto porque presenta a los Jaeger de otras naciones, chino y ruso, en este punto me dije la película va para arriba, se vienen los golpes y eso es lo que quiero ver, la presentación de estos otros personajes fue potente, me agrada verlos, veo luchadores de verdad pero en mi corazoncito yo quiero ver brillar es a las Bestias, a los Kaiju y vaya que dieron pataditas a estos peleadores incompetentes.
Crimson Typhoon es el Jaeger Chino que se ve dominado totalmente, no veo que haga algo ante el poder de Otachi que es uno de los Kaijus cuya característica es la cola y el ácido que lanza, así fue que me los grabe porque la película tiene un tono oscuro y los monstruos no tienen colores, son prácticamente iguales en ese aspecto.

Otachi y Leatherback son mis favoritos, trabajan en equipo muy coordinados y destrozan el resto de Jaegers y es a pesar de que me gusta la escena el punto también a criticar porque el film me presenta potentes personajes, los Rusos y esa SÍ es la mujer que yo quería ver para pilotar un Jaeger, su físico, la forma en que habla, ella domina la pantalla los pocos segundos que esta mucho mas que la protagonista pero claro el argumento les deja solo como carnada para que brillen mis kaijus favoritos.
El punto de la crítica es que físicamente la película pide pilotos con presencia, carácter, voz dominante, en mi caso no me gustan las mujeres con cabello corto pero ella se ve espectacular, con su traje, el Nombre de su Jaeger Cherno Alpha también me agrada, el modo en que mueren lo veo acorde a la batalla porque enfrenta dos Kaijus al mismo tiempo, no sucede como con Crimson que los chinos me decepcionaron, los Rusos trataron de llegar pero claro si el equipo Chino se dejo derrotar tan fácil, mucho no podían hacer.
Con respecto a la trama del abismo y los alienígenas, no me convence para nada esa trama pero como lo he dicho desde un principio, es la excusa argumental para que salgan Kaijus por lo tanto la acepto con los brazos abiertos totalmente porque también mencione que el film necesitaría todo un film para ese tercer acto y hacerlo convincente y no quede que esta hecho a las prisas porque se percibe, una bomba resuelve todo y bueno ok, lo acepto, ya yo estoy contento con las batallas que me dieron.
