Hello Hive Cinephiles at #MoviesAndTVShows. Today I continue to share with you my opinion on another of the movies that are part of the James Bond Sequel** played by Daniel Craig. The turn this time is for Quantum of Solace. As always, I warn you that my post does not contain Spoiler.

  Quantum of Solace is the second installment of the 007 saga played by the incredible Daniel Craig, an actor who, although he started in these films with much mistrust from viewers thinking he would just be a pretty face and more of the same, completely changed the vision of this Secret Agent, giving a rather peculiar touch to the character himself.

  I loved his work in Casino Royale, but in this film that I will talk a little bit about today, I was quite disappointed. But not because of his performance, he did a splendid job with his interpretation, which was to be expected, however, here the weight falls more on the director of this film and its screenwriter.

  And is that, this film already had high expectations from viewers after the first installment but unfortunately the director Marc Forster did a very bad job by leaning more to give us the classic James Bond untouchable**, who comes out unscathed in the fights and that everything is done perfectly, squandering overboard the talent and personality that gave Craig to 007 in Casino Royale.

  And not only the direction of the film was very poorly done but also the script of this, there were many inconsistencies in my opinion, many holes and also the weight given to the villain in this film was the worst. The actor Mathieu Amalric gave me the impression of being more of an extra actor than the villain himself. I mean, I never noticed his outstanding performance as the bad guy in the movie.

  The Bond Girl, Olga Kurylenko, who I'm a fan of for her other film work, didn't stand out here either. She was more of a filler actress, more chemistry was shown by the red-haired Gemma Arterton, who, although she had a brief appearance, stood out from the moment she showed up on screen.

  I don't know if you as moviegoers can notice these details when I talk about the art of excelling by an actor, or if they are just my things that I am expressing here giving you a personal complaint about certain characters. I for one do notice these things and remember very well the good performances, details like this make me follow certain Hollywood actors.

  In addition to presenting a script that had flaws in denoting depth and explaining with more depth the relationship of the characters of the first film with this film, at certain points I was quite lost, that is, I lost the thread of the conversation, I forgot which character they were talking about, in short, although they half explained the reasons for Vesper and what he did in Casino Royale I got lost with most of the conversations when explaining what happened.

  I also noticed that the director missed a lot with high caliber details that were important to me, such as the fact of suffering desolation for spending so many hours under the embracing sun, not suffering burns or ailments in the feet from walking barefoot in that desert for so many hours and even that the characters did not feel thirsty or desperately want to drink water. This to me is a blunder and makes the character played by any actor go from being a human character to a fictitious one, worthy of the exaggeration of the Hollywood touch.

  Unfortunately this film has more things to criticize than to praise or appreciate. Very poorly done your work in this installment Mr. Forster. The worst part is that you had the means at your disposal to create something much better and not go for the typical and safe as in past installments of this fictional character.

  For letting so many details overlooked that for the viewer were important, besides being a rather boring film, very talky and with little action, I give this film 🌟🌟🌟 and a half out of 5 Little Gold Stars and that mostly because of the performance of Daniel Craig and Gemma Arterton who never let their fans down. From my side, it is 50% recommended.

  Quantum of Solace es la segunda entrega de la saga de 007 interpretada por el increíble Daniel Craig, un actor que, aunque empezó en estas películas con mucho recelo por parte de los espectadores pensando que sólo sería una cara bonita y más de lo mismo, cambió por completo la visión de este Agente Secreto, dándole un toque bastante peculiar al personaje mismo.

  A mi me encantó su trabajo en Casino Royale, pero en este film del cual les hablaré un poco hoy, me decepcionó bastante. Pero no por su actuación, él hizo un trabajo espléndido con su interpretación, era de esperarse, sin embargo, aquí el peso recae más bien hacia el director de esta película y su guionista.

  Y es que, esta película tenía ya altas expectativas por parte de los espectadores después de la primera entrega pero lamentablemente el director Marc Forster hizo un muy mal trabajo al inclinarse más a darnos al clásico James Bond intocable, que sale ileso en las peleas y que todo lo hace perfectamente, derrochando por la borda el talento y la personalidad que le otorgó Craig a 007 en Casino Royale.

  Y es que no sólo la dirección de la película estuvo muy mal hecha sino también el guión de esta, hubo muchas incongruencias a mi parecer, muchos huecos y además el peso que le dieron al villano en este film fue de los peores. El actor Mathieu Amalric me dio la impresión de ser más un actor extra que el propio villano en sí. Es decir, nunca noté su actuación destacada como el malo maloso de la película.

  La Chica Bond, Olga Kurylenko, de quien soy fan por sus otros trabajos cinematográficos, tampoco destacó aquí. Fue más una actriz de relleno, más química demostró la chica pelirroja Gemma Arterton, quien, aunque tuvo una participación breve, destacó desde que se mostró en la pantalla.

  No sé si ustedes como cinéfilos logran notar estos detalles cuando hablo del arte de sobresalir por parte de algún actor, o si son sólo cosas mías que estoy plasmando aquí dándoles una queja personal sobre ciertos personajes. Yo por mi parte si me fijo en estas cosas y recuerdo muy bien las buenas actuaciones, detalles así me hacen seguir a ciertos actores de Hollywood.

  Además de presentar un guión que tuvo fallas en denotar profundidad y explicar con más ahínco la relación de los personajes del primer film con esta película, en ciertos puntos me perdí bastante, es decir, perdía el hilo de la conversación, olvidaba de qué personaje hablaban, en fin, aunque medio explicaron las razones de Vesper y lo que hizo en Casino Royale me perdí con la mayoría de las conversaciones al explicar lo que realmente pasó.

  También me fijé que el director falló mucho con detalles de alto calibre que para mí eran importantes como el hecho de sufrir desolación por pasar tantas horas bajo el sol abrazador, no sufrir quemaduras o dolencias en los pies por caminar descalzo en ese desierto por tantas horas e incluso que no les diera sed o ganas de tomar agua desesperadamente a los personajes. Esto para mí es un error garrafal y hace que el personaje interpretado para cualquier actor pase de ser un personaje humano a uno totalmente ficticio, digno de la exageración del toque Hollywoodense.

  Lamentablemente esta película tiene más cosas que critical que alabar o apreciar. Muy mal hecho su trabajo en esta entrega señor Forster. Y lo peor es que tuvo los medios a su disposición para crear algo mucho mejor y no irse por lo típico y seguro como en antiguas entregas de este personaje de ficción.

  Por dejar pasar tantos detalles por alto que para el espectador eran importantes, además de ser un film bastante aburrido, muy hablado y con poca acción, a esta película le doy 🌟🌟 y media de 5 Estrellitas Doradas y eso más que todo por la actuación de Daniel Craig y de Gemma Arterton que nunca defraudan a sus fans. De mi parte está recomendada al 50%.
