Hello #MoviesAndTVShows cinephiles, a few days ago it was Tuesday the 13th and I didn't notice it until the evening because I was absent-mindedly doing other things. On days like this I take the opportunity to watch a marathon of horror movies (my favorite genre) and well, with the vibe of February 14 plus Ash Wednesday, I didn't have the chance to do it.

  So these days I've been enjoying the horror genre, as well as anime series of the same theme and I didn't want to pass up the opportunity of a movie that I liked. It's called: Haunt. As always, I warn you that my post does not contain Spoiler, it's just my opinion of it.

  This is a film that I saw without having high expectations or knowing very well what it was about, I think that doing this is the best thing I can do before watching a movie because there are trailers that say nothing and others that say the whole movie in 1 minute and a half. The same thing happens with synopses, I just look at what kind of genre it is, who is working on it and that's it, I'm ready to watch it.

  Well this movie was pretty good for me, better than I expected actually because is Halloween you can believe that it is a typical serial killer who kills people just because, but this is not the case, here they took seriously the horror theme I was surprised a few times and I got to scare me with some scenes that I did not expect.

  My horror movie marathon hasn't been that long since I haven't had as much free time as usual so I'm watching them on a daily or Inter-daily basis. I started with The Last Door, because I was in the mood to see Johnny Depp's sexy then followed with The Black Telephone and now I'm writing about this one today.

  But what is the movie about? Well, it's about a group of guys looking to have fun on Halloween and has a scary time to laugh at the scare and drink a couple of beers afterward, so they embark on a search for a house of terror that has good special effects and scares the crap out of them.

  But what if in that house the scares you get are more inclined to real events than electronic dolls and people in costumes? I am one of those people who like to go to this kind of fair where they place a house of terror, I have entered if I remember correctly only 1 or 2 times and yes, I got pretty scared and screamed a lot, but this house in this film is another level.

𝙼𝚢 𝙾𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝙰𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙼𝚘𝚟𝚒𝚎

  The first thing I loved was the makeup used and the costumes they incorporated for each character, I never expected that there would be something so real under each mask and that the makeup would be so well done that the face would be scarier than the mask itself. That to me, was spectacular, I was intrigued throughout the movie to see what they were hiding.

  I also liked the suspense and tension, how they were carried throughout the film, that mystery of not knowing what will happen. I'm quite demanding with a film of this type because they are usually quite trite and it's like watching the same thriller with different characters and the same murderer.

𝙵𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝚂𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚎 & 𝚁𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗

  In this movie that was not the case, I had many surprises and although the end of the movie had a rather incoherent touch for my taste, I think they finished it very well. I don't deny that there will be scenes that could have been avoided, but I evaluate every situation and I get into the development of the film to the point of questioning the characters: Why do you do that if you know that this will happen?

  Yes, there was only one scene that I saw that way, but the rest was very well done, the gore effects were also well done, neither too much not so much, but in balance. I will continue to enjoy other horror titles like I'll Take Your Dead and Cursed Cry, films that, if they meet my expectations, I will give them my opinion and if not, I will also give them a harsh review.

  While Haunt is a film to which I give 🌟🌟🌟🌟 out of 5 Little Stars and I recommend it to you when you have the opportunity and the desire to see something of this style.

  Hola cinéfilos de #MoviesAndTVShows, hace unos días fue martes 13 y no lo noté sino en la noche por andar despistada haciendo otras cosas. En días así aprovecho ver un maratón de películas de terror (mi género favorito) y pues con la onda del 14 de febrero más lo del miércoles de ceniza, simplemente no tuve oportunidad de hacerlo.

  Así que estos días he estado disfrutando del género terrorífico, así como de series de animé del mismo tema y no quise dejar pasar la oportunidad de una película que me gustó mucho. Se llama: La Casa del Terror. Como siempre, les aviso que mi post no contiene Spoiler, es sólo mi opinión de la misma.

  Este es un film que vi sin tener expectativas altas ni saber muy bien de qué trataba, creo que hacer esto es lo mejor que puedo hacer antes de ver una película ya que hay tráilers que no dicen nada y otros que dicen toda la película en 1 minuto y medio. Lo mismo pasa con las sinopsis, sólo me fijo qué tipo de género es, quienes trabajan en ella y listo, me dispongo a verla.

  Pues esta película me resultó bastante buena, mejor de lo que esperaba en realidad, ya que al ser de Halloween se puede creer que es de un típico asesino en serie que mata gente porque si, pero este no es el caso, aquí se tomaron en serio el tema de terror, de hecho, me sorprendieron unas cuantas veces y llegué a asustarme con algunas escenas que no esperaba.

  Mi maratón de películas de terror no ha sido tan largo ya que no he tenido tanto tiempo libre como de costumbre así que las estoy viendo de manera diaria o Inter-diaria. Empecé con La Última Puerta, porque tenía ganas de ver al sexy de Johnny Depp, luego seguí con El Teléfono Negro y ahora con ésta de la cual les estoy escribiendo hoy.

  ¿Pero de qué trata la película? Pues de un grupo de chicos que busca divertirse en Halloween y pasar un momento de terror para reír del susto y beber un par de cervezas después, así que se embarcan en la búsqueda de alguna casa del terror que tenga buenos efectos especiales y los asuste hasta las metras.

  Pero ¿qué pasa si en esa casa los sustos que se llevan se inclinan más a hechos reales que a muñecos electrónicos y gente disfrazada? Yo soy de las personas que les gusta ir a este tipo de ferias donde colocan una casa del terror, he entrado si mal no recuerdo sólo 1 o 2 veces a una y si, me asusté bastante y grité mucho, pero esta casa en este film definitivamente es otro nivel.

𝙼𝚒 𝙾𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚒ó𝚗 𝚂𝚘𝚋𝚛𝚎 𝚕𝚊 𝙿𝚎𝚕í𝚌𝚞𝚕𝚊

  Lo primero que me encantó fue el maquillaje utilizado y los disfraces que incorporaron a cada personaje, nunca me esperé que hubiera algo así de real bajo cada máscara y que el maquillaje estuviera tan bien hecho que diera más miedo el rostro que la propia máscara en sí. Eso para mí, fue espectacular, estaba intrigada en toda la película para ver ¿qué ocultaban?

  También me gustó el suspenso y la tensión, cómo se llevaron a lo largo del film, ese misterio de no saber qué pasará. Te cuento que soy bastante exigente con una película de este tipo ya que suelen estar bastante trilladas y es como ver el mismo thriller con diferentes personajes y un mismo asesino.

𝙿𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚞𝚊𝚌𝚒ó𝚗 𝙵𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕 & 𝚁𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚌𝚒ó𝚗

  En esta película no fue el caso, me llevé muchas sorpresas y aunque el final de la película tuvo un toque bastante incoherente para mi gusto, me parece que la terminaron muy bien. No te niego que habrá escenas también que pudieron evitarse, pero es que evalúo toda situación y me meto en desarrollo de la película hasta el punto de cuestionar a los personajes: ¿Por qué haces eso si sabes que pasará esto?

  Pues sí, hubo una sola escena que la vi de ese modo, pero del resto estuvo muy bien hecha, los efectos Gore estuvieron también bien trabajados, ni muy muy ni tan tan, sino en equilibrio. Yo seguiré disfrutando de otros títulos del terror como El Carnicero y El Llanto Maldito, películas que, si cumplen mis expectativas, les daré mi opinión y si no pues también con una crítica severa.

  Mientras que a La Casa del Terror definitivamente es un film al que le doy 🌟🌟🌟🌟 de 5 Estrellitas y de mi parte te la recomiendo cuando tengas la oportunidad y las ganas de ver algo de este estilo.
