Since last year I was watching this anime, I managed to finish it this week and it is amazing how the plot becomes a palette with different elements that surround you. It currently has two seasons on Netflix available, but what sparked my interest in it?
The authors of the manga of this anime are Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, who have had the insight to recreate a totally powerful universe, and where imagination becomes attractive. Because of this there is a solid story that is mixed with fantasy.
The human mind is capable of achieving an infinite number of things, those that can be poured into a series like this. What is the value of being human? That is one of the main questions that are woven as pain arises, death reigns and blood is spilled. An anime that is modeled as part of the creative writing of two authors, and is brought to the screens to visually reflect a very marked aspect today.
Particularly, I don't like anime that are for children and where things become prejudiced, or lack of balance in the scenes and seek to minimize the potential of a plot. I am a hardcore lover of shonen, but also of fantasy and gore. To the point of being able to criticize the very series I like if they have something that doesn't really wrap up. When watching Record of Ragnarok my desire was to visualize in a progressive way each of the battles between the gods and the humans.
Battles? This will define everything in every scene and the reason is: Why should humans live and be allowed to breathe when they destroy the earth? They are only interested in oil! Those are the arguments that the gods proliferate from their mouths during the council of the gods, where they discuss whether the human race deserves to live 1000 more years.

Desde el año pasado estaba viendo este anime, logré culminarlo esta semana y es sorprendente como el argumento se vuelve una paleta con diversos elementos que te envuelven. En la actualidad este posee dos temporadas en Netflix disponibles, pero ¿qué provocó mi interés sobre él?
Los autores del manga de este anime son Shinya Umemura y Takumi Fukui, quienes han tenido la perspicacia de recrear un universo totalmente potente, y donde la imaginación se vuelve atractiva. En razón de esto existe una sólida historia que se mezcla con la fantasía.
La mente humana es capaz de lograr una infinidad de cosas, esas que se pueden verter en una serie como esta. ¿Cuál es el valor de ser humano? Esa es una de las principales preguntas que se tejen mientras el dolor surge, la muerte impera y la sangre se derrama. Un anime que se modela como parte de la escritura creativa de dos autores, y que se lleva a las pantallas para reflejar visualmente un aspecto muy marcado hoy en día.
Particularmente, no me gustan los animes que son para niños y donde las cosas se tornan con prejuicios, o falta de equilibrios en las escenas y se busca minimizar el potencial de una trama. Soy un amante aguerrido del shonen, pero también de la fantasía y el gore. A tal punto de poder criticar las propias series que me gustan si tienen algo que no envuelve de verdad. Al ver Record of Ragnarok mi deseo era visualizar de manera progresiva cada una de las batallas entre los dioses y los humanos.
¿Batallas? Esto lo definirá todo en cada escena y la razón es: ¿Por qué los humanos deben vivir y permitírsele respirar cuando destruyen la tierra? ¡Solamente les interesa el petróleo! Esos son los argumentos que los dioses proliferan de sus bocas durante el consejo de los dioses, donde se discute si la raza humana merece vivir 1000 años más.

What is the Plot of this Anime?

Animation and Scenes
One thing within the anime that I liked was the animation. In some parts it feels that aesthetically the scenes were modeled to connect with the viewer. Plus the look of the characters is very good, and not mediocre at all, from what I could perceive. I can't deny that it's not as overwhelming as Bleach: Thousand - Year Blood War, but still surprisingly impressive. To a point of handling the rawness very well.
Crudity? Blood looks great when it is spilled, there is no censorship when someone must perish. Characters die in a very accurate and grisly way. There is no minimization of how it happens: blood, decapitation and detachment of body parts. If you want to watch this anime you should be prepared for this, as the rating on Netflix, for example, is: +16. It's not for everyone, simple, it's all about tastes and ages.
The animation of the scenes is a key point; because it defines the target audience of the anime, and is potentially for people who want the aesthetic and not the romantic, the raw and not the simplistic, the strong and not the basic. What do you like?
Cultural Mix
I found unique the mixture of culture, a part of west and east in a plot of a really multiple anime. Shonen, fantasy, some ecchi thanks to the valkyries or aphrodite and also with a bit of gore for the blood. Norse gods, Greeks, Indians, and characters of humanity, whether from China, Japan, England or anywhere else in the West. A historical mixture alterable by the human mind. I repeat again, it is the power of fanfiction.
Animación y Escenas
Algo dentro del anime que me gustó fue la animación. En algunas partes se siente que estéticamente las escenas fueron modeladas para conectar con el espectador. Además de que el aspecto de los personajes es muy bueno, y para nada mediocre, por lo que pude percibir. No puedo negar que no es tan abrumadora como Bleach: Thousand - Year Blood War, pero sí sorprendentemente impresionante. A un punto de manejar muy bien la crudeza.
¿Crudeza? La sangre se ve muy bien cuando es derramada, no existe censura cuando alguien debe perecer. Los personajes mueren de una manera muy certera y espeluznante. No existe minimización de cómo ocurre: Sangre, decapitación y desprendimiento de partes del cuerpo. Si desea ver este anime debe estar preparado para esto, ya que la calificación en Netflix, por ejemplo, es de: +16. No es para todo el mundo, simple, se trata de gustos y edades.

Mezcla Cultural
Me pareció único la mezcla de la cultura, una parte de occidente y oriente en una trama de un anime realmente múltiple. Shonen, fantasía, algo de ecchi gracias a las valquirias o afrodita y también con un poco de gore por la sangre. Dioses nórdicos, griegos, indios, y personajes de la humanidad, tanto de china, Japón, Inglaterra o cualquier otro sitio de occidente. Una mezcla historica alterable por la mente humana. Lo vuelvo a repetir es el poder del fanfiction.
Shocking Battles
A very clear point is that each battle is held between the Einherjar souls of people who had a high significance in the history of mankind against some god. This is powerful because it is not creating a character, it is using one that already exists and has a defined personality that must be used for a new plot.
Among my favorite battles is the one between Adam and Zeus, this is not because of the Greek god of lightning or Olympus; but because of Adam. The way they handled the script and the dialogues of this character was powerful, it was to see a battle with scenes of violence, but with human emotions.
Adam, is the first human being, but he is also the copy of god and that was used very well in the plot, but the most powerful thing is that he does not hate, he has no resentment and less a petty purpose against the gods. He was fighting for a unanimous reason, humanity. So powerful is this battle that the value of the message is all too human, all too emotional and inserts the value of what it means to protect a child. Of course, this is not the only thing, the character of Adam was defined as he was, and the truth is that he can face Zeus at the same level.
My second favorite battle was Jack the Ripper vs. Hercules, totally different from Adam's, rather, it was repulsive and showed a psychopathic, despicable and deplorable killer. The pattern here was reversed, humans supported Hercules and detested Jack.

Batallas Impactantes
Un punto muy claro es que cada batalla se celebra entre los Einherjar almas de personas que tuvieron un alto significado en la historia de la humanidad en contra de algún dios. Adán, es el primer ser humano, pero también es la copia de dios y eso se empleó muy bien en la trama, pero lo más poderoso es que no odia, no tiene resentimientos y menos un propósito mezquino contra los dioses. Él estaba luchando por una razón unánime, la humanidad. Es tan poderosa esta batalla que el valor del mensaje es demasiado humano, demasiado emocional e inserta el valor de lo que significa proteger a un hijo. Claro, esto no es lo único, el personaje de Adán fue definido tal cual era, y lo cierto es que puede enfrentarse a Zeus al mismo nivel.
Mi segunda batalla preferida fue la de Jack el Destripador contra Hércules, totalmente distinta a la de Adán, más bien, era repulsiva y mostraba a un asesino psicópata, despreciable y deplorable. El patrón acá fue inverso, los humanos apoyaban a Hércules y detestaban a Jack.
En esta pelea se refleja una frase poderosa: No dejamos de ver lo que es bello y lo que es sucio. Los humanos también somos así. Esto para reflejar la crueldad sanguinaria de Jack el Destripador.
Los humanos somos buenos y malos, esa es la inminente verdad que no se puede cambiar.
Mi ultima batalla preferida fue la de Poseidón con el gran perdedor Kojiro Sasaki, nunca me esperé tal resultado, pero la verdad es que ver como la carne era cortada con una katana era sorprendente. Este enfrentamiento estuvo caracterizado por la arrogancia y por la voluntad de los seres humanos de persistir, de resistir y superar lo imposible. Su mensaje es abrumador.

Each of the battles leaves something, something that is difficult to define. Adam, when fighting Zeus, made clear the value of human beliefs, a pure soul with gallantry. Cada una de las batallas deja algo, un algo que es difícil de definir. Adán, cuando peleaba con Zeus, dejó claro el valor de las creencias humanas, un alma pura y con gallardía. En el anime se ve una mezcla de escenas que se conjugan con el arte actual y las pinturas de Miguel Ángel, ¡un aspecto potente en el mensaje visual!
Poseidón plasmó el vacío de lo que significaba su nombre, pero más lejos de esto está la comprensión de esa voluntad inquebrantable que demostró su oponente a pesar de que se hundía poco a poco en el océano.

Aplica para la realidad y también para la ficción, después de todo este anime es un reflejo de la mente humana.
