Hola amigos, hace pocos días descubrí una serie de Islandia que se llama Katla, es un thriller de misterio, como me encanta este género, decidí verla sin saber mucho de ella, debo decir que me impresiono gratamente, no haré spoiler para que tengan oportunidad de verla, sino lo la has visto aun, esta serie ya termino su primera temporada en Netflix. Particularmente veo las series cuando termina la temporada porque no me gusta esperar semana tras semana como van hilando los capítulos.

Hello friends, a few days ago I discovered a series from Iceland called Katla, it is a mystery thriller, as I love this genre, I decided to watch it without knowing much about it, I must say that I am pleasantly impressed, I will not spoil it so that you have a chance to see it, if you haven't seen it yet, this series has already finished its first season on Netflix. I particularly watch the series when the season ends because I don't like to wait week after week as the chapters spin.
La serie es algo lenta al principio así que si te gusta que lo acontecimientos pasen rápido posiblemente no te gustara, en cada capitulo va dejando destellos como migas de pan para que vayas entendiendo por donde vienen las cosas y comiences a hacer tus teorías de lo que está pasando, cosa que me gusta porque uno va creando sus propias teorías también. Está serie es al estilo de Lost o Dark pero con sus propios giros, es una serie que se sitúa en un lugar frio con temperaturas bajas, pero donde el calor se hará sentir por un volcán que esta a los pies del pueblo. El nombre de la serie Katla, nace por llamarse el volcán así.

This series is in the style of Lost or Dark but with its own twists, it is a series that takes place in a cold place with low temperatures, but where the heat will be felt by a volcano that is at the foot of the town. The name of the Katla series is born from the name of the volcano.
La historia nace a partir de una serie de extraños eventos que pasan luego que el volcán hace erupción y el pueblo ha sido evacuado casi en su totalidad por la gran cantidad de ceniza que son consecuencias de la activación del volcán, en el pueblo solo viven las personas autorizadas a quedarse y una estación científica que se encarga de monitorear el volcán. Allí comienzan aparecer personas desaparecidas, personas idénticas a otras en su versión 20 años más joven entre otros, estas inexplicables apariciones ponen a los pobladores del pueblo a cuestionar las razones de esto y por qué. Comienza la búsqueda de respuestas, los dramas complejos de cada uno de sus habitantes salen a la luz.

Me encanto las actuaciones de los personajes y su complejidad sobre todo el de Grima, que paralizo el vivir buscando a su hermana, el jefe de policía quien se aferra a su religión para vivir su tragedia personal y atender a su esposa parapléjica, son algunos de los personajes de esta serie compleja que va hilando poco a poco a medida que revela el pasado y los problemas particulares de cada uno de sus personajes, en un ambiente glaciar y frío en donde los tonos son grises, con una fotografía impresionante de un paraje inhóspito en donde los personajes se sitúan.
I loved the performances of the characters and their complexity, especially that of Grima, who paralyzed living looking for his sister, the police chief who clings to his religion to live his personal tragedy and care for his paraplegic wife, are some of the characters of this complex series that weaves together little by little as it reveals the past and the particular problems of each of its characters, in a glacial and cold environment where the tones are gray, with an impressive photograph of an inhospitable place where the characters are located.
Katla, sin dudas es una gran serie que, a diferencia de otra combina, el drama, la ciencia ficción y el misterio de una manera que nos hace preguntarnos de manera introspectiva sobre la vida y la muerte, los ciclos para cerrarlos y lograr la paz. Una serie interesante que me gusto, que si algo debo decir en contra es su lentitud al principio pero que luego se entiende porque el director utilizo este ritmo al filmar. Sino el haz visto te invito a hacerlo puede que te sorprenda. Para mi es un 9 de 10.

An interesting series that I liked, that if I have to say something against it is its slowness at the beginning but then it is understood why the director used this rhythm when filming.
