Desde el 2019 hasta la fecha, en Apple TV+ se ha desarrollado dos series basadas en la famosa tira cómica creada por Charles M. Schulz, me refiero a "Peanuts"; la primera se llama "Snoopy in Space" que cuenta con dos temporadas y la otra serie, más actual, se llama "The Snoopy Show" y cuenta con tres temporadas; ahora aparte de esas dos producciones, existen varios episodios especiales, enfocados en personajes secundarios de estas motivadoras y positivas aventuras que comparte este grupo de amigos y justamente el último especial es sobre uno de mis personajes favoritos que posiblemente no se había desarrollado de una manera extensa como se hace en esta breve historia.
From 2019 to date, on Apple TV+ has been developed two series based on the famous comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz, I mean "Peanuts "; the first one is called "Snoopy in Space" which has two seasons and the other series, more current, is called "The Snoopy Show" and has three seasons; now apart from those two productions, there are several special episodes, focused on secondary characters of these motivating and positive adventures shared by this group of friends and precisely the last special is about one of my favorite characters that possibly had not been developed in an extensive way as it is done in this brief story.
En "Snoopy Presents: One-of-a-Kind Marcie", es notorio que la historia está centrada en la introvertida, pero muy amigable y leal "Marcie"; ella en un día normal en dónde debe asistir a su mejor amiga, "Peppermint Patty", se verá involucrada en diferentes situaciones en dónde sin querer, su influencia será determinante y eso le hará saber lo posiblemente importante que es para sus amigos; esto hará que Marcie sienta diferentes sentimientos que le hagan dudar si está bien lo que hace o no.
In "Snoopy Presents: One-of-a-Kind Marcie", it is notorious that the story is centered on the introverted, but very friendly and loyal "Marcie"; she in a normal day where she must assist her best friend, "Peppermint Patty", will be involved in different situations where unintentionally, her influence will be determinant and that will let her know how possibly important she is for her friends; this will make Marcie feel different feelings that will make her doubt if what she is doing is right or not.
Este es el quinto especial de estos personajes producido y distribuido por Apple TV+ y el cual es dirigido por Raymond S. Persi, quien ha dirigido dos episodios especiales enfocados en los personajes de "Lucy" y "Sally"; en esta producción me gustó mucho el estilo de la animación la cual respeta elementos clásicos de la serie original, pero implementa muchos elementos que nunca había visto en esta serie animada y es el uso de colores brillantes, muy fuertes, todo colorido y me pareció genial, es muy llamativo. Cómo dije anteriormente, el respeto al material o el diseño original es importante y no lo digo por cómo son los personajes, sino por las diferentes escenas clásicas que justamente identifican a los protagonistas de esta historia, eso es vital para captar la atención de antiguos fans y de por supuesto a los nuevos.
El guion es excelente, fue escrito por Betsy Walters, está es la primera vez que ejerce su función como guionista en alguno de los episodios especiales, pero anteriormente fue parte del equipo de escritores de las dos series de Snoopy para Apple TV+; en este episodio enojado en Marcie, toma lo ya conocido de la protagonista de esta historia y lo profundiza a enseñar el impacto que tiene ella en sus amigos y hasta en otras generaciones, esto es algo muy positivo y muy bien realizado por Walters; ella mantuvo la humildad del personaje que está acostumbrada a estar siempre detrás, a dejar que otros sean protagonistas, pero en esta oportunidad demuestra lo cómoda que es Marcie en su mundo y en el momento de liderar la historia; considero excelente el cómo fue escrito Marcie y los demás personajes que en situaciones precisas ayudan y motivan a un personaje que justamente está acostumbrada a cumplir esa función.
This is the fifth special of these characters produced and distributed by Apple TV+ and which is directed by Raymond S. Persi, who has directed two special episodes focused on the characters of "Lucy" and "Sally"; in this production I really liked the style of animation which respects classic elements of the original series, but implements many elements that I had never seen in this animated series and is the use of bright colors, very strong, all colorful and I thought it was great, it is very striking. As I said before, the respect to the original material or design is important and I am not saying this because of the characters, but because of the different classic scenes that identify the main characters of this story, that is vital to capture the attention of old fans and of course the new ones.
The script is excellent, it was written by Betsy Walters, this is the first time she exercises her role as a screenwriter in any of the special episodes, but previously she was part of the team of writers of the two Snoopy series for Apple TV+; in this episode angry at Marcie, she takes what is already known of the protagonist of this story and deepens it to teach the impact she has on her friends and even in other generations, this is something very positive and very well done by Walters; She kept the humility of the character who is used to be always behind, to let others be protagonists, but in this opportunity she shows how comfortable Marcie is in her world and in the moment of leading the story; I consider excellent the way Marcie was written and the other characters that in precise situations help and motivate a character who is just used to fulfill that function.
A pesar de que alabo los nuevos estilos de animación en films cómo la secuela de "Puss in Boots", The Mitchells vs. The Machines, el nuevo film de "Ninja Turtles" y por supuesto los dos films animados de "Spider-man" producidos por Sony Pictures. Debo decir que aprecio mucho ver el estilo de animación que ofrece esta producción; me refiero a lo pausado, simple, el perfecto balance de los diálogos entre momentos de humor y reflexión, todo muy ligado al uso de la música y eso me creo cierta nostalgia y es que por momentos es algo que añoro de ver y a pesar de que existen dos series y cuatro anteriores episodios especiales, creo que decidí bien tomar este episodio enfocado "Marcie" para dar oportunidad a esta nueva o actualizada versión de estos personajes y no me arrepiento porque me hizo recordar a lo realizado por "Cartoon Saloon" en donde es la animación y la historia lo que me ha hecho disfrutar de sus producciones animadas. Tenía expectativas sobre este episodio y me alegra que todas fueron superadas; me gustó mucho el positivismo de la historia, lo bien desarrollo que es el personaje de Marcie, su relevancia y ese fuerte y acertado mensaje de ser uno mismo, en dónde creo que es lo más relevante de este episodio el cual recomiendo si son fans o no de Snoopy.
Although I praise the new animation styles in films such as the sequel to "Puss in Boots", "The Mitchells vs. The Machines", the new "Ninja Turtles" film and of course the two animated "Spider-man" films produced by Sony Pictures. I must say that I really appreciate seeing the style of animation that this production offers; I mean the slow, simple, the perfect balance of dialogue between moments of humor and reflection, all very linked to the use of music and that created me some nostalgia and is that at times is something I miss to see and despite the fact that there are two series and four previous special episodes, I think I decided to take this episode focused on "Marcie" to give a chance to this new or updated version of these characters and I don't regret it because it reminded me of what was done by "Cartoon Saloon" where the animation and the story is what made me enjoy their animated productions. I had expectations about this episode and I'm glad they were all surpassed; I really liked the positivism of the story, how well developed Marcie's character is, her relevance and that strong and accurate message of being yourself, where I think it is the most relevant of this episode which I recommend whether you are fans or not of Snoopy.
