Como amante del cine y de las series de tv, tengo una ley, un código el cual dice "Nunca es tarde para ver una película/serie" está frase me ha ayudado mucho porque a pesar de que una historia tanto en la pantalla grande o chica que pueda tener fama o ser interesante, algunas veces se me hace difícil poder verlas y esto es porque no consigo el tiempo preciso para disfrutarlas como todas las demás personas o porque solamente decido verla mucho tiempo después; hay muchas producciones que he dejado de ver y sé que en algún momento debo verlas, no tengo una lista ni nada parecido, ya que solo espero que aparezca algo que me recuerde y que haga que mi interés se active y así poder verlas, justamente eso ha ocurrido con esta serie original de Netflix que se basa en un tema el cual me gusta mucho y que por su pronto estreno de la segunda temporada encontré pertinente en por fin ver su primera temporada estrenada en el 2019.

As a lover of movies and TV series, I have a law, a code which says "It's never too late to watch a movie/series" this phrase has helped me a lot because even though a story either on the big or small screen that may have fame or be interesting, sometimes it is difficult for me to watch them and this is because I do not get the time to enjoy them like everyone else or because I only decide to watch it much later; there are many productions that I have stopped watching and I know that at some point I must see them, I do not have a list or anything like that, I just hope that something comes along that reminds me and makes my interest is activated and so I can see them, just that has happened with this original series of Netflix which is based on a theme which I like a lot and that by its soon release of the second season I found it relevant to finally see its first season released in 2019.
En "Russian Doll" seguimos la historia de "Nadia Vulvokov" una mujer que está en la celebración de su cumpleaños número 36, mientras está en esta fiesta hecha por dos de sus mejores amigas nos muestra quien es, una mujer fuerte, decidida, independiente, egoísta, pareciera tener la actitud de dominar el mundo y que no debe responder ante nadie, pero su vida cambiará cuando en un accidente muera de forma rápida, el asunto está en que despierta en la celebración de su cumpleaños número 36 y deba revivir todo lo hecho hasta morir nuevamente y volver a despertar en la celebración de su cumpleaños número 36; esto hará que deba buscar medidas para romper el loop en dónde está metida, antes que todo pueda empeorar más.

Como dije antes, está serie se basa en un tema que me ha llamado mucho la atención y que se ha usado muchas veces tanto en films como en series, pero como también digo, en el mundo del entrenamiento ser original es difícil y solo queda crear cosas Interesantes para poder captar la atención del espectador y así tener un proyecto exitoso; en esta primera temporada de 8 episodios con una duración de 25 a 30 minutos, veremos una historia en principio contada desde el punto de vista de "Nadia", como dije su personaje es el factor principal para que esta historia sirva, sin ella creo que no se pueda disfrutar absolutamente nada y eso es porque es cómico ver a alguien que parece no temer a nada, empiece a cuestionar todo sobre su vida actual mientras busca una respuesta a todo lo que le está sucediendo, creo que en esta historia tal vez sea lo más parecido a lo que ocurre en la gran famosa "Groundhog Day" y eso es bueno, no digo que sea una copia exacta, pero hay muchas referencias por ejemplo tener un tema musical característico para cada vez que Nadia regresa al principio del loop.
Como dije antes, estar atrapado en un loop infinito es el principal tema y por supuesto esto hace que el personaje principal deba buscar alguna respuesta para todo lo que está sucediendo, esto a la vez crea que existan cambios y reglas, cosas que no profundizaré porque espero que las personas que por alguna razón no han visto esta serie lo hagan y descubran a todo lo que me estoy refiriendo. Pienso que mostrar la historia de un personaje viviendo un mismo día una y otra vez sirve mucho en una serie porque da la posibilidad de poder desarrollar su historia personal, esto me ha gustado mucho porque a pesar de que cada episodio es de 30 o más minutos de duración, pienso que en cada uno de estos ocho episodios descubrimos por qué Nadia es tal como es y que tiene muchas cosas porque cambiar, esto hace que está serie pase por etapas de una comedia oscura a ser un drama y hasta con un breve momento de horror; lo otro es que como es la primera temporada, en Russian Doll no deja de ser un introductorio a los protagonistas y por eso no trata de enseñar muchas cosas que seguramente se encontrará respuesta en la próxima temporada a estrenarse.

As I said before, being trapped in an infinite loop is the main theme and of course this makes that the main character must look for some answer for everything that is happening, this at the same time creates that there are changes and rules, things that I will not go deeper because I hope that people who for some reason have not seen this series will do it and discover everything I am referring to. I think that showing the story of a character living the same day over and over again is very useful in a series because it gives the possibility to develop her personal story, I really liked this because even though each episode is 30 or more minutes long, I think that in each of these eight episodes we discover why Nadia is the way she is and that she has many things to change, this makes this series go through stages from a dark comedy to a drama and even with a brief moment of horror; The other thing is that as it is the first season, Russian Doll is still an introductory to the main characters and therefore does not try to teach many things that will surely be answered in the next season to be released.
Esta serie es solamente de Natasha Lyonne, su interpretación de Nadia Vulvokov es magnífica, es divertida, es fuerte y a la vez tierna, es una mujer que parece que no teme a nada, pero si hay temor y es al compromiso, a volver a amar, eso la hace algo triste aunque busca siempre mantenerse ocupada o tener esa actitud sobrada, de poca humildad para esconder que es lo que en realidad quiere, para mí es un gran trabajo y no sé porque no recibió algún premio por su actuación en esta serie lo cual sería completamente merecido porque ella es la principal estrella, todos dependen de ella y lucen gracias a su trabajo; otro actor que hace un buen trabajo es Charlie Barnett interpretando a "Alan Zaveri", este personaje es importante para esta historia, es diferente a Nadia, pero tienen algo en común el cual los une desde la mitad de la historia hasta el final de la primera temporada; Alan es alguien obsesionado, correcto, que piensa que tiene una vida perfecta, pero no y es donde su vida cambia para mal, pero el encuentro con Nadia hace que pueda tener una nueva oportunidad, ambos personajes se turnan el peso emocional de la serie, escenas divertidas, tristes, ambas historias son muy bien escritas y claro muy bien interpretada por ambos actores.
This series is only from Natasha Lyonne, her interpretation of Nadia Vulvokov is magnificent, she is funny, she is strong and at the same time tender, she is a woman who seems that she is not afraid of anything, but if there is fear and it is of commitment, to love again, that makes her a little sad although she always seeks to keep busy or have that spare attitude, I don't know why she didn't receive an award for her performance in this series which would be completely deserved because she is the main star, everyone depends on her and they look great thanks to her work; another actor who does a good job is Charlie Barnett playing "Alan Zaveri", this character is important for this story, he is different from Nadia, but they have something in common which unites them from the middle of the story until the end of the first season; Alan is someone obsessed, right, who thinks he has a perfect life, but he doesn't and that's where his life changes for bad, but the encounter with Nadia makes him to have a new opportunity, both characters take turns the emotional weight of the series, funny scenes, sad scenes, both stories are very well written and of course very well played by both actors.
Disfrute mucho viendo esta serie y sé que ya han pasado 3 años de su estreno, pero creo que la he visto en un momento correcto porque todo parece que es este el año del estreno de su esperada segunda temporada y a causa de eso tengo gran expectativa porque se tiene la oportunidad de profundizar aún más sobre que desencadenó todo lo que experimenta Nadia, mostrar algo más concreto y que responda preguntas que no fueron respondidas en la temporada pasada; me gusta esta serie porque como dije a mantener en secreto muchas cosas se presta para la creación de teorías sobre que está realmente sucediendo, aunque debe decir que al mantener en secreto ciertas cosas hace que el espectador se enfoque en la historia de los personajes de esta serie y esa fue una gran decisión de sus creadores. Siempre he pensado que muchas de estas historias que se basen en una persona atrapada en el tiempo no se aleja a lo que vivimos en la realidad, creo que siempre en la mayoría de nuestras vidas podemos vivir el mismo día una y otra vez y solo falta cambiar cosas, primeramente personales para poder tener experiencias diferentes y así tener la fuerza para ayudar a otros, esto es lo que me deja estos primeros episodios que son divertidos, que están llenos de teorías, pero al momento puede profundizar en problemas reales de los cuales creo que cada persona puede compartir para estar a salvo, por todo esto recomiendo esta serie, por si no la han visto y como dije en un principio, esta es el mejor momento y así pueden ver la segunda temporada muy pronto a estrenarse.
I really enjoyed watching this series and I know it's been 3 years since its premiere, but I think I've seen it at the right time because everything seems to be this is the year of the premiere of its expected second season and because of that I have great expectations because it has the opportunity to delve even deeper into what triggered everything that Nadia experiences, show something more concrete and answer questions that were not answered in the last season; I like this series because as I said to keep many things secret lends itself to the creation of theories about what is really happening, although it must say that keeping certain things secret makes the viewer focus on the story of the characters in this series and that was a great decision of its creators. I have always thought that many of these stories that are based on a person trapped in time is not far from what we live in reality, I think that always in most of our lives we can live the same day over and over again and just need to change things, first personal to have different experiences and thus have the strength to help others, This is what leaves me these first episodes that are fun, which are full of theories, but at the time can delve into real problems of which I believe that each person can share to be safe, for all this I recommend this series, if you have not seen it and as I said in the beginning, this is the best time and so you can see the second season very soon to be released.
