In 2019, HBO announced its intention to produce a new series from the world of Game of Thrones. The series is House of the Dragon, which tells the history of the Targaryen family that ruled Westeros for three centuries.
The events of the series will deal with the period of the civil war between the Targaryen family (Dragon Dance) about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Showtime and Cast: The Dragons will hit screens in 2022, and it will star Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen) and Emma Darcy (Rhenera Targaryen).

As for directing, it will be under the supervision of director Miguel Sabochnik, who gave us great epic battles in Game of Thrones (Battle of Bastards) (The Long Night) and the rest of the battles.
The soundtrack will be for the great musician Ramin Djawadi, who composed very beautiful pieces of music for Game of Thrones.
Will House of the Dragons succeed more than Game of Thrones?
In my opinion: There are indications that House of the Dragon will be superior to Game of Thrones. The productive network expects great success, and therefore will allocate a large budget for production. In Game of Thrones, the producers dazzled us with graphics, and dragons were one of the most beautiful components of the show, and in the series House of the Dragon, 17 dragons will appear, as stated by writer George Martin. With regards to writing the series, writer Ryan Condall is known for his love of the world of the novel, so he may be keen to show the series in the best possible way. Also, the books (Fire and Blood) are finished and contain all the events that the series will tell about, and this will help avoid the problems that faced Game of Thrones in its last seasons due to the incompleteness of the novel.
As for the characters and the story, The show will not be limited to the characters of the Targaryen family, but we will see many other characters and families that will play an important role, the most important of these families: Stark, Lannister, Hightower, Velarion. I will not spoil the details for you, but the characters of the story will be complex and great characters, I think they will be as famous as the famous TV characters like: (Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow) from Game of Thrones. And such as: (Walter White, Ragnar Lothbrok, Thomas Shelby) from other series. Also, the events will be full of betrayals, conflicts, battles and many powerful events. I expect House of the Dragons to outperform Game of Thrones and reap a lot of popularity and awards.
