I'm still on my break but not really a break from long series (Korean drama) binge watching short Korean dramas is becoming more fun and I think I'll be doing it a lot more often going. Only one was recommended to me and the others, I just found them while exploring the short Korean movies available on Moviebox.
It's not a surprise anymore but I'm loving the featuring of big and and loved characters in short movies like this. Today's list has one that is a very short series, almost like a full movie so I thought it's okay to add it here.
As usual, it's an interesting list with an exception. It's actually weird that I'm choosing to review the exception for me but sometimes, not only the good ones get reviewed and even recommended.
Single In Seoul (2023)
I thought I should review the least interesting one first, the exception to this list but still worth sharing. I think book lovers would have a good time on this, I'm not a big fan of books so I found it a little boring and the chemistry between the lead character was lacking to me. Maybe because it's just a short movie but I've seen a few that had good chemistry.
Our lead character from the series "Tale Of The Nine Tailed" takes the role of a writer who promotes loving oneself and living alone is better than being with someone. He meets a lady who is quick to think that a guy is interested in her by any action he takes. They work on a book together and learned to change how they think.
It's a 1hr 43mins movie about the Book (Single in Seoul) and a little bit of romance, I'll give it a 5/10 rating.
Twenty (2015)
One movie that brings viewers to reality and the troubles of growing up, it had three actors from our popular Korean series. A short play of three friends who turned twenty and have to decide what to do with life. One is stuck in doing nothing but mess around, another thinks studying is the most important and the last wants to focus on earning money to care for his family while focusing on his animation skill.
The movie both the family and adult kinda scenes, I like the part where the one who messes around learnt his lessons in the most expected way and the twists at the end also got me smiling as the three goes on about their lives more happily with experiences gained.
I'll give this movie a 9/10 rating for many good reasons and I've mentioned only a few. There were some unexpected scenes but it is going to be worth your time if you see it, highly recommended.
Queen Of Rings (2017)
My most favourite on this list although it's the longest among them. A 6 episodes series with less than 30 mins per episode, a 3 hour movie to binge watch. Starred by Ahn Hyo-seop from "Business Proposal" who takes the role of a guy that falls in love with a girl he thinks is his dream girl. Another girl who believes she is ugly with the help of a magical ring, she was able to win his attention.
While she struggles to distinguish what is real and what isn't, the two goes from fake to real love without realizing it. Though it's a fiction, the movie teaches a lot of lessons to it's viewers and I'll recommend it anytime, a 9/10 from me.
Aside the less interesting ones which I think there are viewers who would enjoy it, the other movies are a good watch for me so I'm glad I could share them here. For now, check these ones out and let me know what you think about them.
