[ESP] | [ENG] — TOP 5: sagas de películas que me encantan || TOP 5: movie sagas that I love.

La saga cinematográfica de este universo mutante cuenta con trece películas hasta el momento, incluyendo las dos de Deadpool, la Trilogía de Wolverine y el spin-off “Los Nuevos Mutantes”. En cuanto a la Trilogía de Wolverine, sinceramente no tengo mucho por decir, pues realmente no fueron mis favoritas (en especial X-Men Orígenes: Wolverine que me pareció todo un chasco), al igual que el spin-off que deja mucho que desear. Sin embargo, la Trilogía X-Men original (estrenada en los 2000) y sus precuelas (desde X-Men: Primera Generación hasta Dark Phoenix), ¡vaya que sí me han gustado!

A muchos les podrá parecer que estas películas no son del todo satisfactorias y sí, es cierto, no son perfectas pues tienen sus puntos buenos y sus puntos malos, pero como por ahí dicen: “entre gustos y colores no han escrito los autores”. De la primera Trilogía, X-Men 2 ha sido la que más me ha gustado pues siempre me ha parecido que en esta cinta las tramas están mejor construidas y los personajes mucho más desarrollados. Las escenas de acción son una cosa de otro mundo, impresiones, violentas…¿mi favorita? la pelea entre Wolverine y Lady Deathstrike, ¡qué lucha tan épica! Y ni hablar de la escena del ataque a la Casa Blanca por Nightcrawler.

Y si de las precuelas hablamos, tengo muchas más cosas positivas que argumentar. Realmente creo que estas cintas me llegaron a gustar incluso mucho más que las primeras tres películas debido a la calidad de las interpretaciones, la trama, la banda sonora tan genial y la buena recreación de la época. Desde Primera Generación la historia del antagonista principal de toda esta saga cinematográfica me dejó fascinada. El desarrollo que le dieron al personaje de Erik Lehnsherr desde que era un niño que no comprendía sus poderes, hasta el Magneto lleno de rencor estuvo excelente y no dejó ningún cabo suelto. Todas las interpretaciones en las precuelas son excelentes desde Jennifer Lawrence interpretando a Mystique, hasta Nicholas Hoult interpretando a Beast pero debo admitir que el Magneto “joven” ha resultado ser uno de mis personajes favoritos, se me ha hecho uno de los personajes más interesantes.

The film saga of this mutant universe has thirteen movies so far, including the two Deadpool movies, the Wolverine Trilogy and the spin-off "The New Mutants". As for the Wolverine Trilogy, I honestly don't have much to say, as they were not really my favorites (especially X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which I found a disappointment), as well as the spin-off, which leaves much to be desired. However, the original X-Men Trilogy (released in the 2000s) and its prequels (from X-Men: First Generation to Dark Phoenix), I really liked them!

Many may think that these films are not entirely satisfactory and yes, it is true, they are not perfect because they have their good points and their bad points, but as they say: "between tastes and colors have not written the authors". Of the first trilogy, X-Men 2 has been the one I liked the most because I have always felt that in this film the plots are better constructed and the characters are much more developed. The action scenes are out of this world, impressive, violent...my favorite? the fight between Wolverine and Lady Deathstrike, what an epic fight! And not to mention the scene of the attack on the White House by Nightcrawler.

And if we're talking about the prequels, I have a lot more positive things to argue. I really think I came to like these films even more than the first three movies because of the quality of the performances, the plot, the cool soundtrack and the good recreation of the era. Since First Generation the story of the main antagonist of this whole film saga left me fascinated. The development they gave to Erik Lehnsherr's character from a child who didn't understand his powers, to the Magneto full of spite was excellent and left no loose ends. All the performances in the prequels are excellent from Jennifer Lawrence playing Mystique, to Nicholas Hoult playing Beast but I must admit that the "young" Magneto has turned out to be one of my favorite characters, I found him to be one of the most interesting characters.

Cuando pensamos en películas de Dinosaurios, es imposible que no se nos venga de inmediato a nuestra mente la saga de Jurassic Park. Muchos de nosotros crecimos viendo esta primera trilogía dirigida por el gran Steven Spielberg que, sin duda alguna, se terminó convirtiendo en todo un clásico que ha dejado un gran legado no sólo en la industria cinematográfica, sino también en la cultura popular.

No recuerdo la edad que tenía cuando vi por primera vez estas películas, pero lo que sí recuerdo era lo mucho que me llaman la atención los Dinosaurios, así que verlos en la pantalla grande así como si fuesen casi reales fue un impacto bastante grande para mí y ahí fue donde quedé completamente flechada por estas películas. Básicamente "la calidad de realismo" para la época en que las películas se desarrollaron fue una de las cosas que tanto me cautivó.

When we think of Dinosaur movies, it is impossible that the Jurassic Park saga does not immediately come to mind. Many of us grew up watching this first trilogy directed by the great Steven Spielberg that, without a doubt, ended up becoming a classic that has left a great legacy not only in the film industry, but also in popular culture.

I don't remember how old I was when I first saw these movies, but what I do remember was how much I am drawn to Dinosaurs, so seeing them on the big screen as if they were almost real was a pretty big impact for me and that's where I was completely smitten by these movies. Basically "the quality of realism" for the era in which the movies were set was one of the things that captivated me so much.

Son muy pocas las películas de los personajes de DC cómics que me han gustado, siempre me pasa que me termino desilusionando un montón con estas películas (creo que esto no sólo me ha pasado a mí, ¿cierto?). Una de las pocas que puedo rescatar, porque realmente me ha encantado y me ha parecido espectacular por muchos motivos, es la Trilogía de El Caballero Oscuro de Christopher Nolan.

Esta trilogía es toda una obra maestra porque reinventó al personaje de Batman en un mundo más realista. Aquí se nos muestra una historia que fácilmente podría ocurrir en la vida real pues ese mundo que se nos presenta es bastante desolador, crudo y rudo. Otro aspecto bastante importante de esta trilogía es que lleva a la vida a ese icónico enfrentamiento entre el Batman y Joker con un gran estilo y, por supuesto, no puedo dejar de mencionar que esta trilogía dejó a su paso al mejor Joker de todos los tiempos. Esta versión del Joker de Nolan es tan extrema, rara y loca, tal y como debe ser el personaje pero a la vez resulta como si fuese algo que nunca hubiésemos visto, es el ser más sicótico sobre la faz de la tierra, la maldad personificada, un villano que de verdad asusta. Heath Ledger hizo un excelente trabajo para convertir a este personaje en un recuerdo casi que inmortal.

There are very few movies of DC comics characters that I have liked, it always happens to me that I end up getting disappointed a lot with these movies (I think this has not only happened to me, right?). One of the few that I can rescue, because I really loved it and found it spectacular for many reasons, is Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy.

This trilogy is a masterpiece because it reinvented the Batman character in a more realistic world. Here we are shown a story that could easily happen in real life because the world presented to us is quite bleak, raw and rough. Another important aspect of this trilogy is that it brings to life that iconic confrontation between the Batman and Joker with a great style and, of course, I can't fail to mention that this trilogy left in its wake the best Joker of all time. This version of Nolan's Joker is so extreme, weird and crazy, just as the character should be but at the same time it feels like something we have never seen before, he is the most psychotic being on the face of the earth, evil personified, a truly scary villain. Heath Ledger did an excellent job to turn this character into an almost immortal memory.

Sí señores, Indiana Jones, el arqueólogo aventurero encarnado por el gran Harrison Ford es un gran personaje y uno de mis favoritos. Este personaje creado por George Lucas me parece tan encantador y admirable en sus habilidades porque ciertamente, no es nada fácil localizar objetos de relevancia históricas como el Arca de la Alianza o el Santo Grial, mientras que a su vez te enfrentas con enemigos que pretenden utilizar tales reliquias para fines malvados.

Indiana Jones es como ese héroe imperfecto y una de sus características más emblemáticas (a parte de su "doble vida" de superagente) es su sentido del humor. Es extraño, porque él resulta ser como ese tipo cool pero a la vez normal, un profesor Universitario que no tendría mucho por contar pero que en realidad oculta un sinfín de aventuras bastante interesantes.

Para ser franca, la última la última película de esta trilogía (Indiana Jones y el reino de la calavera de cristal) no fue tan genial como sus antecesoras, pero aún así cumplió con su labor de entretener...o bueno, al menos en mí sí logró ese efecto. Tengo entendido que se está filmando una quinta entrega de esta saga (la primera sin Spielberg en el papel de director) que llegará el año que viene, esperemos que no sea demasiado decepcionante.

Para mí no todas las películas de aventura logran tener un gran efecto en los espectadores, pero Indiana Jones me parece que posee una magia única y que ha sabido sobrevivir en el tiempo.

Yes gentlemen, Indiana Jones, the adventurous archaeologist played by the great Harrison Ford is a great character and one of my favorites. I find this character created by George Lucas so charming and admirable in his abilities because certainly, it is not easy at all to locate objects of historical relevance such as the Ark of the Covenant or the Holy Grail, while at the same time facing enemies who intend to use such relics for evil purposes.

Indiana Jones is like that flawed hero, and one of his most iconic characteristics (aside from his "double life" as a super agent) is his sense of humor. It's strange, because he turns out to be like that cool but at the same time normal guy, a university professor who wouldn't have much to tell but who actually hides a lot of interesting adventures.

To be frank, the last movie of this trilogy (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) wasn't as great as its predecessors, but it still did its job of entertaining...or well, at least it did for me. I understand that a fifth installment of this saga (the first without Spielberg in the director's role) is being filmed and will arrive next year, hopefully it won't be too disappointing.

For me not all adventure movies manage to have a great effect on viewers, but Indiana Jones seems to me to have a unique magic and has managed to survive over time.

Johnny Depp ha realizado películas muy geniales, pero mi favorita sin duda alguna ha sido toda esta trilogía de Piratas del Caribe en donde le da vida al peculiar capitán Jack Sparrow. Estas son una de esas películas que nunca me canso de ver, porque realmente me parecen sumamente entretenidas y las termino disfrutando un montón. El humor y la acción dentro de la película es algo que permanece siempre constante, así que prácticamente es imposible que te aburras. Otro punto importante son las actuaciones, esa química entre química de Johnny Depp y Geoffrey Rush (Capitán Barbossa) es brutal y debo mencionar que este último personaje es mi favorito, por eso me dio tanta nostalgia cuando muere casi al final de la quinta entrega de esta saga.

Por otra parte, la trama se me hace algo tan original porque tiene básicamente todos esos elementos sobrenaturales que me llaman la atención: seres mitológicos, dioses, maldiciones, muertos que vuelven del otro mundo y cosas así, esa es una forma bastante original de reinventar las películas sobre piratas.

Johnny Depp has made some great movies, but my favorite without a doubt has been the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy where he gives life to the peculiar Captain Jack Sparrow. These are one of those movies that I never get tired of watching, because I really find them extremely entertaining and I end up enjoying them a lot. The humor and action within the movie is something that always remains constant, so it is practically impossible to get bored. Another important point are the performances, that chemistry between Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush (Captain Barbossa) is brutal and I must mention that this last character is my favorite, that's why I felt so nostalgic when he dies almost at the end of the fifth installment of this saga.

On the other hand, the plot is so original to me because it has basically all those supernatural elements that catch my attention: mythological beings, gods, curses, dead coming back from the other world and stuff like that, that's a pretty original way of reinventing pirate movies.
