Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post súper chévere donde les contaré sobre mis 5 sagas de películas favoritas. Hace unos días estaba hablando con una amiga sobre películas y me di cuenta que existen muchas sagas y trilogías, algunas basadas en libros, cómic y otras creadas por los mismos directores, y son historias tan extensas que necesitan más de una película para ser contadas. Estos filmes necesitan de una continuidad basada sus otras películas para tener sentido teniendo secuencias lineales o no, pero con conexiones entre ellas, por eso hoy les diré mis sagas y trilogías favoritas cuyas historias me fascinaron, comencemos!
Hello again! Today I come with a super cool post where I will tell you about my 5 favorite movie sagas. A few days ago I was talking with a friend about movies and I realized that there are many sagas and trilogies, some based on books, comics and others created by the same directors, and they are so long stories that need more than one movie to be told. These films need a continuity based on their other films to make sense having linear sequences or not, but with connections between them, so today I will tell you my favorite sagas and trilogies whose stories fascinated me, let's go!
Volver al futuro | Back to the Future
Una saga que marcó un hito al ser bastante visionaria para la época. La trama comienza en la primera película en 1985, donde gira entorno a Marty McFly, un adolescente que vive en una ciudad llamada Hill Valley junto a su familia conformada por la alcohólica madre Lorraine y su fracasado e inseguro padre George McFly, el cual sufre de constantes abusos de parte de su jefe Biff Tannen. Marty ayuda a su amigo científico Doc a que pruebe su nuevo invento que es una máquina del tiempo llamada DeLorean en forma de carro el cual tiene fecha para viajar al 5 de noviembre de 1955 ya que en esa fecha se le ocurrió la idea de un condensador de flujo que usa plutonio robado a terroristas libios. Sin embargo estos terroristas matan a Doc al enterarse y Marty viaja 30 años al pasado para evitar el hecho, pero debe buscar a Doc ya que se le acabo el plutonio. Por casualidad Marty evita que su padre sea atropellado por su abuelo materno y esto evita que sus padres se conozcan, haciendo que jamás se casen y que haya alterado el futuro al punto de que está en peligro de desaparecer, a partir de ahí Marty hace lo imposible para que sus padres se conozcan y Doc lo ayude a volver a su linea temporal. Esta película tuvo un éxito abismal al igual que sus siguientes películas, donde la segunda viajan al año 2015 queriendo evitar que el hijo de Marty vaya preso por culpa del nieto de Biff, y la tercera película viajando a 1885, conociendo a sus ancestros y al del antagonista Biff. Una trilogía muy bien lograda con personajes memorable, marcando hasta un hito en la moda y además, haciéndonos ver como el los 80s se creía como se iba a ver el futuro (en el cual estamos ahora jajaja).
The saga that marked a historical milestone as it was quite visionary for its time. The plot begins in the first film in 1985, where it revolves around Marty McFly, a teenager who lives in a town called Hill Valley with his family formed by his alcoholic mother Lorraine and his unsuccessful and insecure father George McFly, who suffers from constant abuse from his boss Biff Tannen. Marty helps his scientist friend Doc to test his new invention which is a time machine called DeLorean in the form of a car which has a date to travel to November 5, 1955 because on that date he came up with the idea of a flux capacitor that uses plutonium stolen from Libyan terrorists. However, these terrorists kill Doc when they find out and Marty travels 30 years into the past to avoid the event, but he has to look for Doc since he ran out of plutonium. By chance Marty prevents his father from being run over by his maternal grandfather and this prevents his parents from meeting, causing them to never get married and has altered the future to the point that it is in danger of disappearing, from there Marty does everything possible for his parents to meet and Doc helps him to return to his timeline. This film had an abysmal success as well as the following films, where the second film travels to the year 2015 wanting to prevent Marty's son from going to prison because of Biff's grandson, and the third film traveling to 1885, meeting his ancestors and the antagonist Biff. A very well done trilogy with memorable characters, marking even a milestone in fashion and also, making us see how the 80s was believed how the future was going to look like (in which we are now hahaha).
El Señor de los Anillos | Lord of the Ring
Hablar de la trilogía basada en la novela homónima de Tolkien sirve para ser abarcado en un post aparte, ya que sus películas tienen un desarrollo tan profundo y extenso que no es sencillo resumirlo. Peter Jackson hizo un trabajo sumamente increíble con estas películas las cuales son: El Señor de los Anillos: la Comunidad del Anillo donde Sauron está en busca del anillo único el cual está en poder de Frodo, un hobbit; El Señor de los Anillos: las dos torres, donde los hobbits Sam y Frodo pretenden destruir el Anillo único viajando a Mordor y donde el futuro de laTierra media está en juego; la último de esta trilogía es El Señor de los Anillos: el retorno del Rey, donde la comunidad del anillo conformada en ta ocasión por Frodo, Sam, Legolas, Gandalf el Gris, Merry, Aragorn, Pippin y Grimli, donde pretenden salvar el destino de la Tierra Media de la oscuridad de Sauron. Realmente la historia es demasiado increíbles y consecuentes entre sí, con un desarrollo sumamente sólido en cada película, además de unas actuaciones sumamente brillantes, una de las mejores bandas sonoras en la historia del cine y una puesta en escena que nos deja atónitos ya que no sumerge en todos los hermosos y hasta oscuros escenarios que nos muestran. Es la saga más premiada con 17 premios Oscar y 30 nominaciones en total, dando a notar su importancia en la historia cinematográfica, realmente es una trilogía excelente que aunque pueda ser pesada, es disfrutable.
Talking about the trilogy based on Tolkien's novel of the same name is worth to be covered in a separate post, since its films have such a deep and extensive development that it is not easy to summarize it. Peter Jackson did an extremely incredible job with these films which are: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring where Sauron is in search of the One Ring which is in the possession of Frodo, a hobbit; The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, where the hobbits Sam and Frodo intend to destroy the One Ring by traveling to Mordor and where the future of Middle-earth is at stake; the last of this trilogy is The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, where the Fellowship of the Ring, made up of Frodo, Sam, Legolas, Gandalf the Grey, Merry, Aragorn, Pippin and Grimli, try to save the fate of Middle-earth from the darkness of Sauron. Really the story is too incredible and consistent with each other, with a very solid development in each film, plus some extremely brilliant performances, one of the best soundtracks in the history of cinema and a staging that leaves us stunned as it does not immerse us in all the beautiful and even dark scenarios that show us. It is the most awarded saga with 17 Oscars and 30 nominations in total, showing its importance in film history, it really is an excellent trilogy that although it can be heavy, it is enjoyable.
Piratas del Caribe | Pirates of the Caribbean
Una de las sagas de películas más exitosas y conocidas actualmente, la historia del carismático y loco capitán Jack Sparrow cautivó a los amantes de las historias de piratas, convirtiéndola en una saga que hasta el que no ha visto las películas conozca la trama por encima. Consta de cinco películas actualmente, las cuales son: Piratas del Caribe: La maldición del Perla Negra, que sigue la historia de la Elizabeth Swann, la cual quieren obligar a casarse con alguien que no ama ya que está enamorada de un herrero, unos piratas irrumpen en la colonia y el herrero acude a Jack Sparrow para salvar a Elizabeth que fue secuestrada; Piratas del Caribe: El cofre de la muerte, donde Sparrow tiene una deuda mortal con el antagonista principal, el capitán Davy Jones, el cual manda a buscar a la tripulación del protagonista en busca del cofre que guarda su corazón; Piratas del Caribe: en el fin del mundo, donde Will el herrero) y Elizabeth quieren salvar a Sparrow y donde los piratas deben escoger bando para una gran batalla sin precedentes; Piratas del Caribe: Navegando en aguas misteriosas, aquí nuestro protagonista se encuentra con una antigua mujer de su vida llamada Angélica con la que se aventura junto con Barbanegra, uniéndose con Barbossa para buscar la fuente de la juventud; por último, está Piratas del Caribe: La venganza de Salazar, donde los piratas de Salazar los cuales son todos unos fantasmas liberados del Triángulo del Diablo planean matar a Jack Sparrow y a los piratas del mar. Esta saga me parece que tiene un desarrollo increíble, con un protagonista imposible de odiar, personajes de apoyo con un desarrollo bien hecho y villanos memorables, los cuales ayudan a que la trama en cada película vaya hilándose de manera maravillosa, posee una banda sonora memorable que al escucharla nos sumerge en los siete mares y un diseño de vestuario que personalmente me fascina, realmente es una saga que merece el éxito que tiene.

This saga seems to me to have an incredible development, with a protagonist impossible to hate, supporting characters with a well done development and memorable villains, which help the plot in each film to be spun in a wonderful way, has a memorable soundtrack that when listening to it immerses us in the seven seas and a costume design that personally fascinates me, it really is a saga that deserves the success it has.
El Padrino | The Godfather
Capaz una de las sagas de películas consideradas de culto debido a su profunda historia basada en la crudeza de la vida de las mafias e inspirada en la novela homónima de Mario Puzo. Dirigida por uno de mis directores favoritos Francis Ford Coppola, hizo tres películas de las cuales son: El Padrino, considerada una de las mejores películas de la historia cinematográfica, la trama es ambientada en los años 40s/50s, trata sobre la familia Corleone la cual es liderada por Vito Corleone (interpretado por el gran Marlon Brando) donde las situaciones giran entorno a Michael Corleone, el cual se va transformando poco a poco en un líder de la mafia; El Padrino II, también considerada como la mejor secuela de una película jamás realizada, retomando la historia donde terminó la primera, donde Michael sigue ascendiendo en el mundo de la mafia, queriendo destruir a los que quisieron asesinar a su familia además de mostrar como la misma se va destruyendo; El Padrino III sigue con Michael legitimizando su gran imperio de la mafia y buscando un sucesor. Esta saga tiene en total 9 premios Oscar, de las cuales Marlon Brando y Robert de Niro recibieron sus estatuillas consagrando sus carreras. Posee una banda sonora increíble que transporta a los años 40s y 50s al mundo de las mafias de ese entonces, con actuaciones sumamente excepcionales, y una historia maravillosamente construida y desarrollada, de esta trilogía solo se pueden decir cosas positivas que deben ver para entender porque es tan aclamada.

Guerra de las Galaxias | Star Wars
Mi saga de ciencia ficción favorita por mucho, creada por George Lucas y la cual comenzó en los años 70s con un inesperado éxito está compuesta actualmente por la trilogía original las cuales son: Star Wars IV: Una nueva esperanza, donde la Alianza Rebelde pretende destruir la Estrella de la Muerte, donde Luke Skywalker de manera repentina ya que activa accidentalmente un mensaje de un robot (R2-D2), donde al encontrarse con Obi Wan Kenobi le revela parte de su poder y su familia, aventurándose para convertirse en maestro Jedi e ir en contra del imperio; Star Wars V: El Imperio contraataca, que después de la destrucción de la Estrella de la Muerte donde Luke se convierte en aprendiz del maestro Yoda para luchar contra Darth Vader, además de darnos una de las escenas más memorables en la historia del cine; esta primera trilogía termina con Star Wars VI: El Retorno del Jedi, aquí Luke y sus compañeros se enfrascan en salvar a Han Solo de Jabba the Hutt y que nuestro protagonista se enfrente finalmente a Darth Vader.

La segunda trilogía que se estrenó fue una secuela que cuentan las historias antes de la trilogía original, las cuales se conforman por: Star Wars I: La Amenaza Fantasma, quizás la más criticada, cuenta la historia del pequeño Anakin Skywalker el cual es bastante inteligente, además de mostrarnos a un joven Obi Wan Kenobi el cual es aprendiz de Qui-Gon Jinn que se dedican a proteger a Padmé Amidala; Star Wars II: El Ataque de los Clones donde vemos a un Anakin ya crecido encargado de proteger a Padme Amidala y que además, la galaxia está apunto que caer en una guerra; Star Wars III: La Venganza de los Sith, mi favorita de toda la saga, donde luego de ser rescatado, el canciller Palpatine crea una fuerte amistad con Anakin y la Orden Jedi no confía en el canciller por ser un Sith y hacer que Anakin poco a poco se sumerja en el lado oscuro de la fuerza. La tercera y última trilogía se basa en secuelas después de los hechos de la trilogía original, con las siguientes películas: Star Wars VII: El despertar de la Fuerza, que se trata en la historia de Rey, una recolectora de chatarra que al encontrarse accidentalmente con el Stormtrooper Finn se embarcar en una aventura donde Rey comienza a conocer su sensibilidad al poder de la fuerza; Star Wars VIII: Los últimos Jedi, la más larga de toda la saga, donde Rey finalmente conoce a un viejo Luke Skywalker para así poder conocer más sobre la Fuerza, además de ver más a fondo la guerra entre la Resistencia y la Primera Orden; finalmente está Star Wars IX: El ascenso de Skywalker, donde los últimos jedi que quedan se enfrentan a la Primera Orden y dando un cierre y resumen de toda la saga que comenzó en la década de los 70s.
Esta saga quizás es una de las más conocidas en cuanto a ciencia ficción se refiere, cualquiera conoce algún símbolo que retrata la franquicia como lo es Datrh Vader, que incluso el que no ha visto las películas se sabe la línea de él que dice "No, yo soy tu padre". Posee mi banda sonora favorita en la vida compuesta por el inigualable John Williams, además de que la última trilogía aunque no sea tan querida, posee unos efectos especiales sumamente increíbles que fueron galardonados con diversos premios. La historia de Star Wars es sumamente extensa que hasta se hicieron películas derivadas de la historia principal como lo son Rogue One y Han Solo. Una saga que realmente adoro y se ganó todo mi cariño y del público en general por su increíble historia. Que la fuerza los acompañe

The third and final trilogy is based on sequels after the events of the original trilogy, with the following films: Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens, which deals with the story of Rey, a scrap collector who accidentally meets Stormtrooper Finn and embarks on an adventure where Rey begins to learn her sensitivity to the power of the force; Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, the longest of the entire saga, where Rey finally meets an old Luke Skywalker in order to learn more about the Force, in addition to seeing more in depth the war between the Resistance and the First Order; finally there is Star Wars IX: Rise of Skywalker, where the last remaining jedi face the First Order and giving a closure and summary of the entire saga that began in the decade of the 70s.
This saga is perhaps one of the best known in terms of science fiction, anyone knows a symbol that portrays the franchise as is Datrh Vader, that even those who have not seen the movies know the line of him that says "No, I am your father". It has my favorite soundtrack in life composed by the incomparable John Williams, plus the last trilogy although it is not so beloved, has some amazing special effects that were awarded with several awards. The history of Star Wars is so extensive that even movies derived from the main story were made, such as Rogue One and Han Solo. A saga that I really love and won all my affection and that of the general public for its incredible story. May the force be with you.

I hope you liked this little list! There are many other sagas that I have seen and like, however these are the ones that surprised me the most because of their amazing stories that for every movie that was released, the more I loved them.
