Hello! it's been a while since I've done a review in this format, but the truth is that this deserved it. I just finished watching the Netfix series Bolivar and it generated a lot of emotions in me, so I didn't think twice and started recording this review, however, I think there were some things I forgot to mention in the video, so I'll do it here.
¡Hola! Ya tenía un buen tiempo sin hacer una review en este formato, pero la verdad es que esto lo ameritaba. Acabo de terminar de ver la serie Bolívar de Netfix y esto me generó muchas emociones, así que no lo pensé dos veces y comencé a grabar esta review, sin embargo, creo que hubo algunas cosas que olvidé mencionar en el video, así que lo haré por aquí.
It was a very good series in terms of script and performances, the locations were wonderful and in general terms they did a magnificent job, but among the things I didn't like was the fact that I feel that the ending was very rushed and therefore we didn't know what happened beyond the death of Bolivar, except for what O'leary as narrator and Aponte (the painter) tell us, but I would have liked to see at least a little more about Manuelita Saenz and how she was banished from Colombia, O'leary's marriage to Soublett's daughter or what happened with Dionisio (Bolivar's sentimental brother) in Venezuela, in short, I think it would be very good if there was a second part where they showed everything that came after.
Fue una muy buena serie a nivel de guión y actuaciones, las locaciones fueron maravillosas y en términos generales hicieron un magnífico trabajo, pero entre las cosas que no me gustaron fue el hecho de que siento que el final fue muy apresurado y por lo tanto no supimos que sucedió más allá de la muerte de Bolívar, a excepción de lo que nos cuenta O’leary como narrador y Aponte (el pintor) pero me hubiese gustado ver al menos un poco más de Manuelita Sáenz y como fue desterrada de Colombia, la boda de O’leary con la hija de Soublett o que sucedió con Dionisio (hermano sentimental de Bolívar) en Venezuela, en fin, creo que sería muy bueno que hubiese una segunda parte donde mostraran todo lo que vino después.
