Greetings dear Movies and TV Shows moviegoers, today I bring you my entry to the contest about Which TV shows do you love? Whose link you can see HERE.
I tell you at once that I feel that this post will be one of the shortest for me in this community, I say that because in the post they say in the comments that the post should be longer than the usual ones because they are minimum 2 shows, but I think they didn't think about my posts when they said that hahaha, I don't pretend to give you an analysis of the shows like I do with the movies hahaha, if I do that it would be obviously crazy and it would end in a suicide for me in short! considering that I suck at summarizing =/. These shows I chose had a lot of time on the air and dealt with many topics, so it would be a bit absurd for me to do the same as I do with my Review here, so I'll just comment a bit about the questions we are asked in the competition entry.
Now without further ado, these are 2 of my favorite TV shows of all time...

Les comento de una vez que siento que esta publicación será una de las más cortas para mí en esta comunidad, lo digo porque en la entrada dicen en los comentarios que el post debería ser más largo que los habituales porque son mínimo 2 shows, pero creo que no pensaron en mis post cuando dijeron eso jajaja, no pretendo darles un análisis de los shows como hago con las películas, si hago eso sería evidentemente una locura y terminaría en un suicidio para mí ¡en definitiva! considerando que soy malísima resumiendo =/. Estos shows que escogí tuvieron mucho tiempo en el aire y trataron de muchos temas, así que sería un poco absurdo que hiciera lo mismo que hago con mis Review aquí, por lo que solo les comentaré un poco sobre las preguntas que nos plantean en la entrada de la competencia.
Ahora sí sin más preámbulos estos son 2 de mis shows favoritos de TV de todos los tiempos…
I can't explain in words what this series meant to me in my life, it's something that goes beyond being a fan, or a simple viewer, I loved this series with my life and I swear I'm not exaggerating, I don't even know when it came into my life because the first season came out in 1993 and I was too little at that time to watch this kind of programs, but I feel that I must have known it around the age of 12 when my parents let me watch this kind of things, and this was not a common series for the time when The X Files came out.
Sadly I don't have the knowledge of Cinema and TV to tell you the degree of revolution that this series of the Fox, network was for the history of TV shows, but for me it was incredible! Maybe because of my weird personality, very introverted and unsociable I felt so attracted to it, I was starting my adolescence, that time where you ask yourself so many questions and question many things around, that time where you are discovering yourself and start to form your true personality, and at that time I knew I was "weird" hahaha, so I always describe myself, because if you put me next to my friends, I was definitely not quite "normal" I always felt very different from all of them.
The X Files was created to please weird people, it is a science fiction series, one of the most revolutionary series of those times for many factors, it touched on topics about paranormal activities like monsters, lurid topics like psychopaths or serial killers with quite uncommon methods to kill and, above all, it touched on the main topic which was the existence of extraterrestrial life. It was that time when my innocent self was beginning to know the world and trying to see out there more than what I saw inside, in my ordinary world, as one of the main phrases of the series said "The truth is out there".
At that time I began to know the whole paranormal world, yes that world that was just as I felt, completely parallel to normality, do not get me wrong I was not crazy believing in those monsters that were presented in some chapters of the series, but if I believed and still believe in extraterrestrial life and other things more than they talked about in the series, because it was very original, including 3 types of chapters, the chapters related to the life of the main character and his perennial need to know about the life of his sister who according to him had been abducted by aliens, the generalized paranormal chapters with the presence of monsters or those species of supernatural forces and chapters related to relatively normal cases but difficult to investigate, and that is what Mulder with Scully, was in charge of investigating that kind of "strange" cases in an almost secret subdivision of the FBI called: The X Files.
Yo no les puedo explicar con palabras lo que esta serie significó para mí en mi vida, es una cosa que va más allá de ser fanática o de un simple televidente ¡yo amaba esta serie con mi vida! y ¡se los juro que no exagero! no sé ni siquiera en qué momento llego a mi vida porque la primera temporada salió en 1993 y yo era muy pequeña en ese tiempo como para ver este tipo de programas, pero siento que debí haberla conocido alrededor de mis 12 años cuando ya mis papás me dejaban ver este tipo de cosas, y es que esta no era una serie común para el tiempo en que surgieron Los X Files.
Tristemente no tengo el conocimiento de Cine y de TV como para decirles el grado de revolución que fue esta serie de la cadena Fox, para la historia de los shows de TV, pero para mí era ¡increíble! tal vez por mi personalidad rara, muy introvertida y poco sociable me sentí tan atraída hacia ella, estaba empezando mi adolescencia, ese tiempo donde te haces tantas preguntas y cuestionas muchas cosas alrededor, ese tiempo donde estás descubriéndote a ti misma y empiezas a formar tu verdadera personalidad, ya en ese tiempo yo sabía que era "rara" jajaja, así me describo siempre, porque si me ponías al lado de mis amigos, en definitiva no era del todo "normal" yo me sentí siempre muy distinta a todos ellos.
Los X Files fueron creados para gustar a la gente rara, es una serie de ciencia ficción, una de las series más revolucionarias de esos tiempos por muchos factores, se tocaban temas sobre actividades paranormal como monstruos, temas escabrosos como psicópatas o asesinos seriales con métodos bastante poco comunes para matar y, sobre todo, tocaba el tema principal que era la existencia de la vida extraterrestre. Era ese tiempo donde mi yo inocente estaba empezando a conocer el mundo y tratando de ver allá afuera más de lo que veía adentro, en mi mundo común y corriente, tal cual como decía una de las frases principales de la serie "La verdad está ahí afuera"
En ese tiempo yo empecé a conocer todo el mundo paranormal, sí ese mundo que era tal cual como yo me sentía, completamente paralela a la normalidad, no me malinterpreten yo no estaba loca creyendo en esos monstruos que presentaban en algunos capítulos de la serie, pero si creía y sigo creyendo en la vida extraterrestre y en otras cosas más de la que hablaban en la serie, porque era muy original, incluía 3 tipos de capítulos: los capítulos relacionados con la vida del personaje principal y su necesidad perenne de saber de la vida de su hermana que según él había sido abducida por extraterrestres, los capítulos generalizados paranormales con presencia de monstruos o esas especies de fuerzas sobrenaturales y los capítulos relacionados a casos relativamente normales pero difíciles de investigar, y es que de eso se encargaba Mulder con Scully, de investigar ese tipo de casos "extraños" en una subdivisión casi secreta del FBI llamada: Los X Files.
I was in love with that series from beginning to end, it was that time when I didn't have cable TV service, only national TV, so it was religious for me to watch that weekly chapter, and if I missed it I wouldn't be able to watch it anymore, because I don't know what made the TV networks think that putting a chapter of a series once a day was enough for everyone to watch it, what if I had something important to do, then I was going to miss the chapter for eternity? That's how I felt at the time, and it was the reason why watching that episode of the X Files was extremely sacred to me, I wanted absolutely no one! to disturb me on my date with my favorite FBI agents Mulder and Scully.
In retrospect when I think a little bit about all the influence that series had on me I think a lot about both characters, Dana Scully was a forensic medical FBI agent, an excellent investigator, with a completely scientific thinking but balanced with her religious side, Scully was the perfect complication for Fox Mulder, who believed in all those things that escaped science, he was discovering all those files that were hidden in the FBI and nothing fit him, they all seemed to have been forgotten because they considered it "supposedly" unimportant.
Mulder already had the antecedent of having lost his only sister when she was very small and seeing these files he discovered a way to reach her by realizing many files that made him understand that there was a great worldwide conspiracy to hide the existence of life on another planet, precisely this was the theory that Mulder had of why his sister had disappeared, because she had been abducted by those beings from another planet.
Scully was sent precisely with the idea of paralyzing Mulder's investigations, who was one of the best psychologists in his class and one of the best FBI agents, but he had insisted on finding out things he shouldn't have in one of the most secret places on planet Earth, yes, the FBI offices.
What they never thought who sent her with him, is that she would empathize with him so much, and is that Scully initially refuted all the cases in which Mulder was stubborn, but then, seeing the evidence as the investigation progressed, she ended up believing in him, so between them they carried out the investigations and solved the cases; Mulder and Scully were the perfect couple, they complemented each other perfectly as co-workers, so that whole plan they had with them of Scully proving that Mulder was crazy with everything he wanted to investigate, ultimately didn't come to fruition.
Yo estaba enamorada de esa serie de principio a fin, era ese tiempo en que no contaba con servicio de televisión por cable, solo tv nacional, así que era religioso para mi ver ese capítulo semanal, y es que si me lo perdía no iba a poder verlo más, porque no sé qué les hacía pensar a las cadenas de tv que poner un capítulo de una serie una vez al día era suficiente para que todo el mundo la viera ¡vamos! ¿y si alguien tenía algo importante que hacer, entonces se iba a perder el capítulo por la eternidad? Así me sentía yo en ese tiempo, y era la razón por la cual ver ese capítulo de los X Files era sumamente sagrado para mí, no quería que absolutamente ¡nadie! me molestara en mi cita con mis agentes del FBI favoritos Mulder y Scully.
En retrospectiva cuando pienso un poco toda la influencia que tuvo esa serie en mi, pienso mucho en ambos personajes, Dana Scully era una agente del FBI médico forense, una excelente investigadora, con un pensamiento completamente científico pero que equilibraba con su parte religiosa, Scully era la perfecta complicación para Fox Mulder, quien creía en todas esas cosas que escapaban de la ciencia, él fue descubriendo todos esos archivos que estaban ocultos en el FBI y nada le cuadró, todos parecían haber sido olvidados porque lo consideraban sin importancia "supuestamente".
Mulder ya tenía el antecedente de haber perdido a su única hermana cuando era muy pequeña y viendo estos archivos descubrió una forma de poder llegar a ella, al irse dando cuenta de muchos archivos que lo hacían entender que había una gran conspiración a nivel mundial para ocultar la existencia de la vida en otro planeta, justamente esta era la teoría que tenía Mulder del por qué su hermana había desaparecido, porque había sido raptada por esos seres de otro planeta.
Scully fue enviada justamente con la idea de paralizar las investigaciones de Mulder, quien era un psicólogo de los mejores de su promoción y de los mejores agentes de FBI, pero se había empeñado en averiguar cosas que no debía en uno de los lugares con más secretos en el planeta tierra, sí, las oficinas del FBI.
Lo que nunca pensaron quienes la enviaron con él, es que ella iba a empatizar tanto con él, y es que Scully refutaba inicialmente todos los casos en los que se empecinaba Mulder, pero luego, viendo las pruebas a medida que avanzaba la investigación, terminaba creyendo en él, así que entre ambos llevaban a cabo las investigaciones y resolvían los casos; Mulder y Scully eran la pareja perfecta, se complementaban perfectamente uno al otro como compañeros de trabajo, así que todo ese plan que tenían con ellos de que Scully demostrara que Mulder estaba loco con todo lo que quería investigar, en definitiva no se llevó a cabo.
As I was saying I feel that analyzing in retrospect the personalities of those two characters, both influenced my own personality, I completely admired Scully and her analytical thinking always scientific above all things, a determined woman, strong, very intelligent, an expert in her area even when she was very young; on the other hand I had Mulder a psychologist with little scientific thinking, who was more interested in the analysis of the mind, in the analysis of the cases and who had a dark past that made him see life differently.
I feel that my personality was established in my adolescence in large part thanks to those 2 TV characters - seriously! You must be laughing right now reading this, but it's the truth, everyone who knows me and we start talking about tastes I tell them about this series, and there was no other like it, this series allowed me to know the world of science fiction and love it all, it allowed me to learn to admire the scenes as I admire them now and each scene kept many secrets and clues about the whole series and the whole season, if you missed a scene you could miss the best kept secret of the whole series, so I admired every scene to the fullest, all the details in search of those secrets, it also had this unique graphic design and photography design for me, all dark and somewhat gloomy that generated some tension and unknown, I have always liked those shades of colors in the productions and that kind of design and it is most likely due to this series.
But it wasn't only that, they were completely unique scripts, with dialogues that you could immediately recognize who they were when you read them, and I didn't only watch the series, no friends, no! I had special chapter books that were not in the series, others of the same chapters of the series, and others of behind the scenes that included details and secrets not revealed in them, yes! that was my level of love for this series, my greatest happiness was when at the end of a lapse in school my mom took me to the bookstore to choose what they wanted and I went to the science fiction part looking for my beloved X Files books, I'm not lying, I'll show you some pictures of some of them, I still have them in my library as relics that NOBODY is going to give me hahaha, those are my sacred books, not the school ones, not any other, no! they were these.
Como les decía siento que analizando en retrospectivas las personalidades de esos dos personajes, ambos influyeron en mi propia personalidad, yo admiraba completamente a Scully y su pensamiento analítico siempre científico por sobre todas las cosas, una mujer decidida, fuerte, muy inteligente, una experta en su área aun cuando era muy joven; por otro lado tenía a Mulder un psicólogo con poco pensamiento científico, quien se interesaba más en el análisis de la mente, en el análisis de los casos y el que tenía un pasado un poco oscuro que lo hacía ver la vida diferente.
Yo siento que mi personalidad se terminó de establecer en mi adolescencia en gran parte gracias a esos 2 personajes de TV ¡en serio! deben estarse riendo ahora mismo leyendo esto, pero es la verdad, todo el mundo que me conoce y empezamos a hablar de gustos yo le cuento sobre esta serie, y es que no hubo ninguna otra sin igual, esta serie me permitió a mi conocer el mundo de la ciencia ficción y amarlo todo, me permitió aprender a admirar las escenas como las admiro ahora y es que cada escena guardaba muchos secretos y pistas sobre toda la serie y toda la temporada, si tú te perdías una escena te podrías perder el secreto mejor guardado de toda la serie, así que yo admiraba cada escena a cabalidad, todos los detalles en busca de esos secretos, además tenía este diseño gráfico y diseño de fotografía único para mí, todo oscuro y algo tenebroso que generaba algo de tensión e incógnita, me han gustado siempre esos tonos de colores en las producciones y ese tipo de diseño y es muy probablemente debido a esta serie.
Pero no solo era eso, eran guiones completamente únicos, con diálogos que tú de inmediato podías reconocer de quienes eran al leerlo, y es que yo no solamente veía la serie, no amigos ¡no! yo tenía libros de capítulos especiales que no salían en la serie, otros de los mismos capítulos de la serie, y otros de tras cámaras que incluían detalles y secretos no revelados en ellos ¡sí! así era mi nivel de amor por esta serie, mi mayor felicidad era cuando al terminar un lapso en el colegio mi mamá me llevaba a la librería para que escogiera lo que quisieran y yo me iba a la parte de ciencia ficción buscando mis amados libros de los X Files, no les miento, les mostraré unas fotos de algunos de ellos, aún los tengo en mi biblioteca como reliquias a las que a NADIE le voy a dar jajaja, esos son mis libros sagrados, no los del colegio, ni ninguno otro ¡no! eran estos.

These days in a community a friend was telling the story of her 15th birthday party, and I remembered mine, that party was the party I hated the most in my life and come on! I had to miss that finale and they hadn't announced another season after that one, that made me hate the party even more and just be there watching my watch and thinking that I was missing that episode, I swear it was like that.
The series ended in 2001 after 9 seasons, you can imagine my degree of depression post ending, but then came the movies, 2 movies that many people criticized, but we better not talk about those people, because they don't deserve space in my post, those movies were SPECTACULAR, of course the series and the movie always left loose ends and that was the intention and people didn't like it, but, well, to each his own, I loved those movies, it was one in 1998 between season 5 and 6 Fight the future and 6 years after the series ended in 2008 i want to believe. .
Pero es que tampoco era solo eso, era ¡todo! la banda sonora de esta serie fue mi tono en el teléfono desde que tuve mi primer celular hasta muchísimo tiempo después que terminó la serie, sé que algún día veré a Mark Snow para agradecerle por crear esa melodía maravillosa, tenía 2 posters gigantes en mi cuarto con las frases más emblemáticas de la serie, que incluía, por supuesto, el póster más importante que era el que tenía Mulder en su oficina y decía "I want to believe", a este punto deben estar claros de que en serio esta serie era lo máximo para mí y que no les miento y eso que no me voy a enfocar en hablar de los maravillosos otros personajes que tenía la serie como "Los pistoleros Solitarios" "El fumador", Skinner, Krycer, X, entre otros…
En estos días en una comunidad una amiga contaba sobre la historia de su fiesta de 15 años, y yo recordé la mía, esa fiesta fue la fiesta que yo más odié en mi vida y es que ¡vamos! ya les describí mi personalidad en ese momento ¿ustedes creen que yo era de estar bailando el vals en una fiesta con un vestido y tacones siendo el centro de todas las miradas durante toda una noche? No amigos, no, odie profundamente esa fiesta, no solamente por mi introversión, lo que más recuerdo de ella es ¡que coincidía con el capítulo final de una de las temporadas de X-Files!, ¡que tortura! Me tuve que perder ese final y no habían anunciado otra temporada después de esa, eso me hizo odiar más la fiesta y solo estar en ella pendiente de mi reloj y de que me estaba perdiendo ese capítulo, se los juro que fue así.
La serie terminó en el 2001 después de 9 temporadas, se imaginarán mi grado de depresión post final, pero después vinieron las películas, 2 películas que mucha gente criticó, pero mejor no hablemos de esa gente, porque no merecen espacio en mi post, esas películas fueron ESPECTACULARES, por supuesto la serie y la película siempre dejaba cabos sueltos y es que era la intención y a la gente no le gustaba, pero, bueno, cada quien con sus gustos, yo amé esas películas, fue una en 1998 entre la temporada 5 y 6 Fight the future y 6 años después que terminó la serie en el 2008 i want to believe.

Maybe there are many series with better themes, better special effects, etc, even it was the inspiration for many other science fiction series that came later like: "Supernatural, Bone, Fringe, The dead zone," etc, its screenwriters and scene directors became very famous and worked in many more renowned series and probably did better with technological advances that obviously give more realism to the scenes, but regardless of all this I just told you this series for me will be the best series I've ever seen in my life! not for nothing, even, all my social networks, my emails, and (here among us) almost all my passwords to everything include phrases and the X of that series, well, hackers you know, now you only have to review those 11 seasons and every dialogue of those characters to discover my life, because absolutely all of me is still related to that series for that reason. I will love it forever as well as Christ Carter for creating and directing this marvel and David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson for giving life to my favorite characters in the whole world Grace forever and ever!
Pero no todo terminó ahí ¡Gracias a Dios! la serie tuvo un remake en el 2018 pero en formato corto, por supuesto, ya muchos años después de que los actores David Duchovny y Gillian Anderson eran muy famosos a nivel mundial y no tenían el suficiente tiempo para dedicarse a series como las de ese entonces, además todo fue una especie de regalo para los fans de la serie; yo no les puedo explicar lo feliz que fui con ese remake, fue muy corto pero me hizo recordar tanto de mi adolescencia, incluyeron tanto de la esencia de los X File y entonces entendí el tiempo que ha pasado desde que esa serie se convirtió en una de las mejores series que he visto y estoy segura de que veré en mi vida.
Porque ¡sí! Tal vez hay mucha series con mejores temas, mejores efectos especiales, etc, incluso ella misma fue la inspiración para muchas otras de ciencia ficción que surgieron después como: "Supernatural, Bone, Fringe, The dead zone", etc, sus guionistas y directores de escenas se hicieron muy famosos y trabajaron en otras muchísimas más series de renombre y probablemente lo hicieron mejor con los avances tecnológicos que, evidentemente, le dan más realismo a las escenas, pero sin importar todo esto que les acabo de decir esta serie para mi ¡será la mejor serie que he visto en mi vida! no por nada, incluso, todas mis redes sociales, mis correos, y (aquí entre nos) casi todas mis claves de acceso a todo incluyen frases y la X de esa serie, bueno, hackers ya saben, ahora solo tienen que revisar esas 11 temporadas y cada diálogo de esos personajes para descubrir mi vida, porque es que absolutamente todo de mi sigue relacionado a esa serie por eso. La amaré por siempre igual que a Christ Carter por crear y dirigir esta maravilla y a David Duchovny y Gillian Anderson por darle vida a mis personajes favoritos del mundo entero ¡Gracia por los siglos de los siglos!
These days I was talking to someone and told him about this Discovery Channel TV show that lasted 12 years and I couldn't believe he told me that he never saw it! I swore that everyone, around my age, must know this Discovery show that was excellent! Well this program was the perfect one for me because of my personality, it was a reality show where 2 almost geniuses who worked with special effects, met to check the veracity of facts, web stories, popular myths, even scenes from movies and series; through the reproduction of the information as they described it "out there" which were what they called: "the myths" and using their many knowledge in special effects recreated the whole scene of the supposed fact.
Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman who were these experts in science fiction and FX, did not work alone, they had a team of super smart nerds who were in charge of creating even the wildest scenarios to test those theories of those "myths"; this group called "the construction team" consisted of Grand Imahara, Kary Biron and Tory Belli, Scottie Chapman and Christine Chamberlain among all discussed how they could do to test the facts.
En estos días hablaba con alguien y le comentaba de este show de TV de Discovery Channel que duró 12 años y no pude creer que me dijera que ¡nunca lo vió! yo juraba que todo el mundo, más o menos de mi edad, debía conocer este programa de Discovery que era ¡excelente! Ya ven como les dije con los X Files que siempre me ha gustado la ciencia, ver cosas donde nadie más las ve y poner en duda todo lo que veo y leo para comprobar si es real.
Pues, este programa era el perfecto para mí por mi personalidad, era un programa de realidad donde 2 casi genios que trabajaban con efectos especiales, se reunían para comprobar la veracidad de hechos, historias de la web, mitos populares, hasta escenas de películas y series; a través de la reproducción de la información como la describían "por ahí" que eran lo que ellos llamaban: "los mitos" y usando sus muchos conocimientos en efectos especiales recreaba toda la escena del supuesto hecho.
Adam Savage y Jamie Hyneman que eran estos expertos en ciencia ficción y FX, no trabajaban solos, tenían a un equipo de nerds súper inteligentes que se encargaban de ingeniárselas para crear hasta los más descabellados escenarios para comprobar esas teorías de esos "mitos"; este grupo llamado "el equipo de construcción" estaba conformado por Gran Imahara, Kary Biron y Tory Belli, Scottie Chapman y Christine Chamberlain entre todos discutían cómo podían hacer para poner a prueba los hechos.

It was too funny to watch the ingenuity of these men and how with their completely contrasting personalities one serious and focused (James) and the other all joking (Adam) they balanced the show to make it fun and instructive at the same time, it was a science show, but the myths they tested sometimes were not serious at all hahaha, for example to check if the "Mentos" candies in the "Coca Cola" really produced that explosion that appeared in many videos on the internet, or to check if that scene in the movie "Titanic" where Rose let Jack fall into the freezing water because they both didn't fit in the piece of wood of the ship could be real; most of the myths were funny to analyze, but they were the ones that surrounded the main myth, the main myth was the one that was the most work to reproduce, like an action scene of cars and crashes to see if it was able to produce a specific damage in people, of course, without putting anyone at risk.
With Mythbuster I learned about the existence of the "Ballistic Gel" a kind of special gel that they always talked about and used to mimic human flesh, which is actually used in reality to test the impact of bullets on the human body by agencies that are responsible for studying that, such as forensic medicine, criminalistics and official government institutions, that, of course, I learned after many years of watching the program, I thought it was great the first time I saw it, they even had their own human clone hahaha it was called "Buster" a mannequin that had a lot of that Gel, which they put in the experiments that included a human being.
Básicamente hacían experimentos científicos ¡en serio! con muchos cálculos matemáticos de alcance, tamaños, probabilidades, etc, basándose en el método científico ¡de verdad! que usamos en la ciencia, pero de una forma agradable a la vista para el espectador, incluso ellos mismos creaban otros experimentos a partir del principal, porque cuando la teoría no se daba como decía "el mito" entonces ellos intentaban ampliar las posibilidades científicas para que se pudiesen dar y ver si de alguna forma lo lograban.
Era demasiado divertido ver el ingenio de esos hombres y como con sus personalidades completamente contrastantes uno serio y enfocado (James) y el otro todo echador de broma (Adam) equilibraban el programa para que fuera divertido y a la vez de instructivo, era un programa de ciencia, pero los mitos que comprobaban, a veces, no eran del todo serios jajaja, por ejemplo: comprobar si los caramelos "Mentos" en la "Coca Cola" producían de verdad esa explosión que salía en muchos videos en internet, o comprobar si esa escena de la película el "Titanic" donde Rose dejó caer a Jack al agua congelada porque no entraban ambos en el pedazo de madera del barco podía ser real; gran parte de los mitos eran cómicos de analizar, pero eran los que rodeaban al mito principal, el mito principal era el que daba más trabajo reproducir, como una escena de acción de autos y choques para ver si era capaz de producir un daño específico en las personas, por supuesto, sin poner en riesgo a nadie.
Con Mythbuster aprendí la existencia del "Gel balístico" una especie de gel especial del que siempre hablaban y usaban para imitar la carne humana, que de hecho se usa en la realidad para comprobar el impacto de las balas en el cuerpo humano por organismos que se encargan de estudiar eso, como los de medicina forense, criminalística e instituciones oficiales de los gobiernos, eso, por supuesto, lo aprendí después de muchos años de ver el programa, me pareció genial la primera vez que lo vi, tenían hasta su propio clon humano jajaja se llamaba "Buster" un maniquí que tenía mucho de ese Gel, que ponían en los experimentos que incluían a un ser humano.
Mythbuster was that kind of shows that taught you about science, while you spent the whole 45 minutes of the program laughing with the craziness of those characters, that in a few minutes while they were making fun of each other or competing among themselves to see who could do it better, they made you see in an experimental and 100% scientific way that everything you had believed for years about a certain topic was false! Haha! or failing that, it was true; at the end of each episode they described it like this: if the myth was "proven", if it was "possible" or if it was "hunted", this last one because of the title of the show; "the hunted" of course, were the ones that were proven not to be real and kept us fooled all this time haha!
Mythbuster came to an end in 2016 after 12 years on the air and 14 seasons and the main characters Adam and Jamie really excel at special effects, they each work separately and you have their special effects companies that they had before they even came on the show but weren't as famous, they have worked on so many big name movies like "Terminator, Matrix, Stars Wars, Artificial Intelligence, Bicentennial Man", etc, etc, of course before being on the show they had a life in the sci-fi and special effects world and a lot of accumulated experience, that's why the show really was so great.
What can I tell you about this program? I am a woman of science, since I was very young I was inclined to that, I ended up being a doctor for a reason and when I started watching this show when I was a teenager I loved every episode! because everything I saw was real, they taught you in a simple, dynamic and comical way things that were really myths that people said, that you could easily read on the internet or that we had seen in a series or movie.
I grew up and learned a lot watching this program, there were many experiments that seemed silly, but they were not at all, they were giving you information throughout the program about science and although many of those experiments did not seem to make much sense, the information they gave you could transfer it to your reality, even if it was not the complete fact but portions of what they reproduced, it really was a good show to learn, but like everything in this life, it came to an end, I think in fact they are creating a spin off or already created it, I am not entirely sure, but Adam and Jamie are no longer there, so it is not the same and I did not continue watching it, sorry I like the classics, with the initial characters, that's how I am and with TV shows it was not going to be any different.
Mythbuster era ese tipo de shows que te enseñaban de ciencia, a la vez que te pasabas todo el 45 minuto el programa riendo con las locuras de esos personajes, que en unos minutos mientras se estaban burlando uno del otro o compitiendo entre ellos mismos para ver quién lo hacía mejor, te hacían ver de forma experimental y 100% científica que todo eso que habías creído por años sobre algún determinado tema ¡era falso! Jaja! o en su defecto, era verdad; al final de cada episodio lo describían así: si el mito era "comprobado", si era "posible" o si era "cazado", este último por el título del programa; "los cazados" por supuesto, eran los que se comprobaban que no eran reales y nos mantuvieron engañados todo este tiempo jaja!
Mythbuster llegó a su final en el 2016 después de 12 años al aire y 14 temporadas y los personajes principales Adam y Jamie realmente son excelentes en efectos especiales, cada uno trabaja por separado y tienes sus empresas de efectos especiales que tenían antes de incluso entrar al programa pero no eran tan famosos, han trabajado en muchísimas películas de renombre como "Terminator, Matrix, Stars Wars, Inteligencia artificial, Hombre bicentenario", etc, etc, por supuesto antes de pertenecer al programa tenían una vida hecha ya en el mundo de la ciencia ficción y los efectos especiales y mucha experiencia acumulada, por eso el programa realmente era tan genial.
¿Qué les puedo decir de este programa? Soy una mujer de ciencia, desde que era muy joven me incliné por eso, por algo terminé siendo médico y cuando empecé a ver este programa cuando era una adolescente ¡me encantó cada episodio! porque era real todo lo que veía, te enseñaban de una forma sencilla, dinámica y cómica cosas que eran en serio mitos que decía la gente, que podías leer fácilmente en internet o que habíamos visto en alguna serie o película.
Yo crecí y aprendí mucho viendo este programa, habían muchos experimentos que parecían tontos, pero no lo eran del todo, ellos te iban dando información a lo largo del programa sobre ciencia y aunque muchos de esos experimentos parecían no tener mucho sentido, la información que te brindaban podías transferirla a tu realidad, aun cuando no fuera el hecho completo sino porciones de eso que ellos reproducían, realmente era un buen programa para aprender, pero como todo en esta vida, llego a su final, creo de hecho que están creando un spin off o ya lo crearon, no estoy del todo segura, pero ya no están Adam ni Jamie, así que no es lo mismo y no seguí viéndolo, sorry me gustan los clásicos, con los personajes iniciales, así soy y con los shows de TV no iba a ser diferente.

Bueno eso es todo mis queridos Hivers, tenía realmente muchos programas de show que pensé escoger, con la serie no, la serie si la tenía clara desde el principio, pero el programa sí me costó más, escogí este porque es uno de mis favoritos, me enseñaron demasiado, esos tipos eran unos verdaderos genios de películas, literalmente hablando, fueron de los primeros que me hicieron entender todo lo que había que saber y hacer para poder llevar a cabo una simple escena de acción y ciencia ficción, por ellos hoy en día admiro tanto esas películas por muy pequeño que sea el detalle que presenten, porque sé todo el trabajo logístico que hay detrás, por eso me molesta un poco cuando una persona crítica tan severamente un film porque pareciera que no tomaran en cuenta todo ese trabajo de horas que hay que hacer para poner esos pequeños detalles que la gente termina criticando a veces despiadadamente.
