Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros ladrones del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, me gustan mucho las películas de mafiosos y de crímenes, es por ello que cuando vi un pequeño fragmento en TikTok del filme “Reservoir Dogs” que mezcla varios elementos interesantes que van desde un completo suspenso alucinante hasta un sin número de situaciones violentas, eso fue todo lo que basto para llamar total y absolutamente mi atención. Sin más que agregar prepárense para afrontar un atraco que salió mal pues estamos por comenzar.

La trama es bastante interesante debido a que el filme mantiene un buen nivel de enigma durante toda su duración, siendo dicho misterio el que busca mantener cautiva la atención del espectador y hasta cierto punto esto se consigue de buena forma debido a sus múltiples giros y revelaciones. La narrativa es desordenada a propósito, la intención de la cinta es ir proporcionando pequeños fragmentos de información a fin de que sea el espectador el que vaya construyendo la trama, no obstante, esto lo hace de forma bastante torpe puesto que se carece de sutileza para que los acontecimientos se sientan orgánicos, esto no quiere decir que su trama sea un desastre pero si se denota la inexperiencia del directo y la necesidad de pulir detalles para procrear una obra exquisita, de hecho, el filme tiene un aire a “Pulp Fiction” solo que se denotan más errores por lo antes mencionado. La duración del filme es un problema, esto se debe a que a lo largo de la película se nos da diferentes puntos de vista e información proveniente de vivencias de diferentes personajes, el asunto es que para que esto pudiese funcionar era necesario más tiempo en pantalla y explotar de mejor forma a sus protagonistas, es por ello que se denota la necesidad de más tiempo para que se hubiese podido desarrollar de mejor forma los diferentes elementos que albergaba la cinta.

Los personajes son un problema y eso radica en la gran cantidad de los mismos, existen demasiados personajes que el filme aspira a que el espectador tome en cuenta pero esto es imposible debido a que hay algunos que tienen apenas segundos en pantalla y solo poseen pocos diálogos, siendo que la cinta pretende que el espectador dude de todos y especule sobre quien es el soplón, no obstante, se hace imposible debido a que son muy pocos los que tienen ese ápice de foco que permita cuestionarse quien fue el traidor. Por otro lado, los pocos que son enfocados no tienen un buen desarrollo más allá de datos vagos e información escasa, nuevamente destaco, para ser un filme cuya intención es que exista especulación falla mucho en este aspecto.

Reservoir Dogs no es un mal filme pese a que he destacado muchos de sus fallos a lo largo de esta reseña, tiene un desarrollo mediamente decente de sus acontecimientos pese a la carencia de información que se tiene, algunos de sus personajes pese a ser completamente desconocidos tienen un estilo que les da cierto carácter interesante que los hace mantenerse de buena forma, en general, el filme tiene buenas bases que no desarrolla de la mejor forma pero no por ello implica que sea un bodrio. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 4 estrellas de 7, la primera película de Tarantino como director no fue la mejor aunque si sentó las bases del estilo del director para futuras obras de arte, no tiene pérdida pese a sus diversos errores.
