Sin más que agregar agarren sus guitarras que estamos por subir al escenario.

Es una historia de comedia y drama adolescente, se enfoca a un par de amigos que se encuentran en la preparatoria y deciden formar una banda de heavy metal, deciden participar en una batalla de bandas que se hará en su escuela para ir haciéndose conocidos, el problema es que solo son un guitarrista y un baterista por lo que necesitan un bajista para que todo tenga un tono más armonioso, es una tarea complicada debido a que son prácticamente unos inadaptados sociales, pero todo tendrá cierto cambio cuando uno de ellos decida tener la mente más abierta como para incluir un instrumento poco frecuente en las bandas de metal.

La trama es sumamente sencilla y totalmente esperable de este género, un drama adolescente de película mayormente genérico, incluso podrías decir que hay otras cintas que usan el mismo concepto de querer formar una banda y tener éxito, desarrollándolo de mejor forma. Lo que podría decir que la salva en gran medida es la comedia que maneja, está le saca un poco las castañas del fuego para que no resultó en algo totalmente nefasto; además, hay que añadir que algunas escenas y situaciones son lo suficientemente originales para que puedas obviar las otras cosas genéricas que contiene. En general maneja una narrativa simple, que no aspira a nada, ni siquiera incluye giros argumentales ni nada por el estilo, solo existe un objetivo el cual obviamente es conseguido al final ya que este tipo de historias siempre tienen un final feliz.

In general the characters are flat what you could expect from typical teenage movies, honestly I expected more because on several occasions they touched on the issue of rejecting socialization for fear of abandonment but it was so superficial that it did not transcend to something more interesting.
Su trama es simple por lo que los personajes siguen esa misma línea, la cinta dedica mucho tiempo para detallar a Hunter, que lo llevo a ser un metalero y querer formar una banda, con tanto tiempo en pantalla uno esperaría mayor profundidad o al menos un desarrollo decente, esto no pasa, su cambio se siente artificial y forzado debido a que era necesario para avanzar. Con Kevin pasa algo similar aunque menos terrible, su desarrollo predecible es agradable siendo que incluso logra establecerse una personalidad con prioridades e incluso convicciones, y, por último y menos importante, Emily solo diré que es un personaje de apoyo con todas las de la ley carente de personalidad y con el único objetivo de hacer avanzar la trama, aburrida como el carajo y siendo definida únicamente por sus problemas y por gustarle uno de los protagonistas. En general los personajes son planos lo que podrías esperar de las típicas películas adolescentes, sinceramente esperaba más debido a que en varias oportunidades tocaron el tema de rechazar la socialización por miedo al abandono pero fue de forma tan superficial que no trascendió a algo más interesante.
So what about Metal Lords? It really is a nice film, one of those that you see to have a laugh and not think much about things, it presents absurd things but nothing beyond it. All this leads it to deserve 3 stars out of 7, it is not completely terrible but it is one of those types of movies that you only see once and then you forget it completely, because watching it a second time would be something too tedious and boring.
Entonces ¿Qué pasa con Metal Lords? Realmente es una cinta agradable, de esas que ves para echarte unas risas y no pensar mucho sobre las cosas, presenta cosas absurdas pero nada más allá de ello. Todo ello la lleva a merecer 3 estrellas de 7, no es completamente terrible pero es de ese tipo de películas que solo ves una vez y después la olvidas totalmente, debido a que verla por segunda vez resultaría algo demasiado tedioso y aburrido.
