Welcome dear internet travelers lovers of suspense and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, very rarely have I seen non-animated films of Japanese origin, to be honest I thought that this film was of Korean origin but hey, the heart of the matter is that the tape "Cube" belongs to one of my least favorite genres although one never knows if it can surprise. Without more to add, get ready to survive different traps that we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet amantes del suspenso y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, muy pocas veces he visto filmes no animados de origen japonés, para serles sincero pensaba que esta película era de origen coreano pero bueno, el meollo del asunto es que la cinta "Cube" pertenece a uno de mis géneros menos favorito aunque igual uno nunca sabe si pueda llegar a sorprender. Sin más que agregar prepárense para sobrevivir a diferentes trampas que estamos por comenzar.
Cube was released in 2021, is a remake of a film of the same name released in 1997, directed by Yasuhiko Shimizu and produced by Plan B, has a duration of 1 hour and 48 minutes. It is a story of suspense and science fiction, focuses on a group of people who wake up in an unknown place without knowing how they got to this place, while trying to discover what is happening they realize that this place is plagued by deadly traps which can end the life of any of these if neglected, So they will need to think through all their movements if they want to get out alive from this hellish place.
Cube fue estrenada en 2021, es un remake de un filme del mismo nombre estrenado en 1997, dirigida por Yasuhiko Shimizu y producida por Plan B, cuenta con una duración de 1 hora y 48 minutos. Es una historia de suspenso y ciencia ficción, se enfoca a un grupo de personas las cuales despiertan en un sitio desconocido sin saber cómo llegaron a este lugar, mientras intentan descubrir que está pasando se dan cuenta de que ese lugar se encuentra plagado de trampas mortales las cuales pueden terminar con la vida de cualquiera de estos si se descuidan, por lo que necesitaran pensar bien todos sus movimientos si desean salir con vida de este lugar infernal.

The soundtrack is regular, it fulfills its purpose of being a decent musical accompaniment for the different events that take place during the film, I would say that it turns out to be the expected pulling bad since that intrigue factor does not manage to generate it at any time.
La banda sonora es regular, cumple su propósito de ser un acompañamiento musical decente para los diferentes acontecimientos que transcurren durante el filme, diría que resulta ser lo esperable tirando a malo puesto que ese factor intriga no lo consigue generar en ningún momento.
The construction of the world is interesting at first since various elements of this serve as important pieces in the plot, however that is the only remarkable thing about the context because the rest is simply reduced to identical rooms without personality that most of the time do not contribute anything to the plot since it is to continue using the same element that was interesting at first.
La construcción de mundo resulta interesante en un primer momento puesto que diversos elementos de esta fungen cómo piezas importantes en la trama, sin embargo eso es lo único destacable que hay del contexto debido a que el resto se reduce sencillamente a habitaciones idénticas sin personalidad que la mayor parte del tiempo no aportan nada a la trama puesto que es seguir usando el mismo elemento que fue interesante en un primer momento.
With the plot happens exactly the same as in the previous point, it seems interesting but ends up going around in circles becoming repetitive, it is supposed to have interesting elements that advance the plot although these only end up becoming boring data that contribute very little; This applies to both suspense and murder scenes that honestly give more embarrassment than anything else. Another aspect that is a problem is the lack of details, the film has many repetitive moments that could easily have been used to explore other things, not so many as to kill the mystery it tries to create but enough to keep the viewer interested. Finally there are the twists that it uses that are simply regrettable, completely unexpected and without anticipation ending up as a last minute addition that does not work well.
Con la trama pasa exactamente lo mismo que en el punto anterior, parece interesante pero termina dando vueltas en círculos tornándose repetitiva, se supone que debe de tener elementos interesantes que hagan avanzar la trama aunque estos solo terminan volviéndose datos aburridos que aportan muy poco; esto se aplica tanto para las escenas de suspenso como para las de asesinato que sinceramente dan más vergüenza que otra cosa. Otro aspecto que es un problema es la falta de detalles, el filme tiene muchos momentos repetitivos que fácilmente podrían haberse empleado para explorar otras cosas, no tantas como para matar el misterio que intenta crear pero si los suficientes para mantener interesado al espectador. Por último están los giros de tuerca que emplea que sencillamente son lamentables, completamente inesperados y sin anticipación terminando como un añadido de último minuto que no funciona bien.
All the characters without exception feel like plot conveniences, they are puppets without personality which mostly do not show any type of emotion or the slightest characterization, they are complete strangers for whom you simply can not feel anything and their deaths are inconsequential and irrelevant; I could even say that one or the other feel like leftovers and that there would be no problem if they had not been. The biggest disappointment is the fact that the tremendous psychological factor provided by the situation is not taken advantage of, a character relives his past more than anything else (Past that never delves or is really relevant) there is a character who feels more plausible with the emotions he expresses but this is only used to give suspense and forced tension so it loses merit.
Todos los personajes sin excepción se sienten como conveniencias argumentales, son monigotes sin personalidad los cuales en su mayoría no demuestran ningún tipo de emoción ni la más mínima caracterización, son completos desconocidos por los que sencillamente no puedes sentir nada y sus muertes resultan intrascendentes e irrelevantes; incluso podría decir que uno que otro se sienten como sobrantes y que no habría problema si estos no hubiesen estado. La mayor decepción es el hecho de que no se aproveche el tremendo factor psicológico que provee la situación, un personaje revive más su pasado que otra cosa (Pasado que nunca se ahonda ni resulta realmente relevante) existe un personaje que se siente más plausible con las emociones que expresa pero este solo es utilizado para dar suspenso y tensión forzada así que pierde merito.
Cube sins of not complying with even the minimum things to be moderately interesting, repeats a formula that does not work since it only lengthens something that is already lacking that hook that makes it moderately captivating with forgettable characters and too many plot holes to take it seriously. That is why it deserves a rating of 1.5 stars out of 7, a rather big disappointment that is not worth even to see it for merely entertaining itself ignoring its shortcomings, supposedly the original Canadian version is better so you could see it in the future.
Cube peca de no cumplir ni con las cosas mínimas para ser medianamente interesante, repite una fórmula que no funciona puesto que solo alarga algo que ya de por sí es carente de ese gancho que lo haga medianamente atrapante con personajes olvidables y demasiados agujeros argumentales como para tomársela en serio. Es por ello que merece una calificación de 1.5 estrellas de 7, una decepción bastante grande que no vale ni siquiera para verla por meramente entretenerse obviando sus carencias, supuestamente la versión canadiense original es mejor por lo que podría verla en un futuro.
