REIGN
Hello, today I want to talk and give my opinion about this series, I recently finished watching all the seasons so I have fresh and precise ideas.
First, for those who don't know what series it is, I'll leave you with a mini synopsis
Reign is a series that premiered in 2013, it consists of 4 seasons, the classification of the series could say drama, historical and fantasy. It deals with the life of Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland, they show what her life is like since she arrived in France, series starts at the age of 15 to get engaged to Prince Francis.
Hola, hoy quiero hablar y dar mi opinión acerca de esta serie, recientemente terminé de ver todas las temporadas por lo que tengo las ideas frescas y precisas.
Primero, para los que no saben qué serie es, les dejaré una mini sinopsis
Reign es una serie que se estrenó en el 2013, consta de 4 temporadas, la clasificación de la serie podría decir drama, histórico y fantasía. Trata de la vida de María Estuardo, reina de escocia, muestran como es su vida desde que a los 15 años llegó a Francia para comprometerse con el Príncipe Francisco.

I want to tell you that after this comment everything you are going to read is a spoiler, so if you want to watch the series and not be spoiled, then we say goodbye here, but if it's the opposite, this is just beginning.
I could say it's a teen show because it has that style, the way the whole show unfolds. Now, since they present us with chapter 1, the series seems very promising, they show us that Mary was kept in a convent until the age of 15, she leaves the convent to live in the Castle with the Kings of France, and from this point Mary can do her duty, marry the Prince to strengthen the Alliance between Scotland and France. All this can be seen in the first season and it hooks you.
Quiero comentarles que a partir de este comentario todo lo que van a leer es spoiler, así que si deseas ver la serie y que no te cuenten nada, entonces nos despedimos aquí, pero si es todo lo contrario, esto apenas comienza.
Es como una serie para adolescente por el estilo, la forma en que se desarrolla toda la serie. Ahora bien, desde el capítulo 1, la serie se ve muy prometedora, nos muestran que tenían a María en un convento hasta la edad de 15 años, deja el convento para vivir en el Castillo con los Reyes de Francia, para que María pueda cumplir con su deber, casarse con el Príncipe para fortalecer la Alianza entre Escocia y Francia. Todo esto se logra visualizar en la primera temporada y te causa un enganche.
On the other hand, this entire first season seems to show us a story of the real life of the Queen of Scotland Mary Stuart, in case some do not know, she really existed, and at that point in the series the story is faithful to what it was her life. Mary, born in 1542 in Edinburgh, succeeded her father on the Scottish throne when she was six days old, at the age of 5 she went to France handed over by her mother as an alliance between the two kingdoms and remained there for 13 years.
Por otro lado, toda esta primero temporada pareciera que nos mostrará un relato de la vida real de la Reina de Escocia María Estuardo, por si algunos no saben, ella realmente existió, y en ese punto de la serie la historia va fiel a lo que fue la vida de ella. María, nacida en 1542 en Edimburgo, con seis días de nacida sucedió a su padre en el trono escocés, a los 5 años se fue a Francia entregada por su madre como alianza entre ambos reinos y permaneció allí por 13 años.

Although the focus of the plot towards Mary's life is clearly visible, all the characters have a part in this story, it is very balanced at that point because no one stands out more than another, after the first season, it begins to see more of a mixture of supernatural things such as witchcraft, remembering that in those times the inclination should be towards the Catholic almost out of obligation and people who did not share that religion were labeled as heretics, as the seasons go by they have their good and bad chapters but without ceasing to be very entertaining, I personally was totally hooked on the series.
Mary was Queen Consort in France, and could also rule in Scotland, she had aspirations to claim the English throne, since she was really the next heir to that throne by right and could claim it, at that time there was Queen Elizabeth I (her cousin) in the English throne that evidently knew that it had to prevent Mary from claiming it, this is how we are seeing that the series is changing a lot.
A pesar de que claramente se ve nota el enfoque de la trama hacia la vida de María, todos los personajes tienen una parte en esta historia, está muy equilibrada en ese punto porque nadie destaca más que otro, después de la primera temporada, se empieza a ver más una mezcla de cosas sobrenaturales como la brujería, recordando que en esos tiempo la inclinación debía ser hacia lo católico casi que por obligación y las personas que no compartieran esa religión eran etiquetados como herejes, al pasar las temporadas van teniendo sus buenos y malos capítulos pero sin dejar de ser muy entretenida, yo personalmente me quedé totalmente enganchada con la serie.
María fue Reina Consorte en Francia, y pudo gobernar también en Escocia, tenía aspiraciones por reclamar el trono inglés, ya que ella era realmente la siguiente heredera a ese trono y podía reclamarlo, en ese entonces estaba la Reina Isabel I (su prima) en el trono que evidentemente sabía que debía evitar que María lo reclamara, así es como vamos viendo que la serie va cambiando mucho.
Now, I want to tell you my opinion of this series, there is a moment where they show us a focus on the 3 Queens: France, Scotland, England. This approach shows us a very clear point, and that is that in those times it was a world governed only by men, which made it much more difficult to keep a country united, mostly the countries supported by the Catholic Church where it was clearly possible to seeing the preference for men as rulers, this series shows all kinds of betrayals and deceptions that are also based on this, even the betrayals just for not seeing a woman rule regardless of whether it is her birthright. I loved that in one way or another the series showed that regardless of betrayals and baseless accusations, a woman can do anything she wants and work very hard to achieve it, nothing is by mere divine grace.
I am going to conclude my post here, so that the spoiler is quite subtle and you can enjoy the series if you want to see it. If I had to give it a rating considering all of the above 7.5/10
Ahora bien, quiero comentarles mi opinión de esta serie, hay un momento donde nos muestran un enfoque en las 3 Reinas: Francia, Escocía, Inglaterra. Este enfoque nos muestra un punto bastante claro, y es que en esos tiempos era un mundo solamente gobernado por hombres, lo que hacia mucho más difícil el trabajo de mantener a un país unido, mayormente los países apoyados por la iglesia católica donde claramente se podía ver la preferencia por los hombres como gobernantes, esta serie muestra toda clase de traiciones y engaños que también se basan en esto, incluso las traiciones sólo por no ver a una mujer gobernar sin importarles que sea su derecho de nacimiento. Me encantó que de alguna y otra manera la serie mostrara que sin importar las traiciones y acusaciones sin fundamentos, una mujer puede hacer todo lo que se proponga y trabajar muy duro para lograrlo, nada es por mera gracia divina.
Voy a concluir mi post hasta aquí, para que el spoiler sea bastante sutil y puedan disfrutar de la serie si desean verla. Si tuviera que darle una calificación considerando todo lo anteriormente dicho 7.5/10
