I already expressed my admiration for this Italian star when I did my post about the movie Explota Explota , a musical and romantic comedy made in Spain, inspired by Raffaella's greatest musical hits. When I stumbled upon this documentary miniseries directed by Luchetti a few days ago, I watched the episodes quickly.
Even though this Italian diva was from my parents' time, since I was a child I liked to listen to old music. Raffaella would have been almost fifty years old when I saw a TV show in which she performed. I was very young but I was already attracted to the feminine beauty. Her suggestive costumes, her dancing and the rhythm of the song caught my attention and as a teenager I would look for her songs in the places where they sold compilations of old music.
To a young person today, his songs would seem very innocent, with a catchy beat in keeping with the old days. But that's the thing to keep in mind. The time when Raffaella emerged, where there was a lot of modesty. Her clothes, beauty, movements, choreography and lyrics were too provocative for what the public was used to.

Cuando hace unos días me topé con esta miniserie documental dirigida por Luchetti, vi los episodios rápidamente.
Aunque esta diva italiana era de la época de mis padres, desde niño me gustaba escuchar música antigua. Raffaella tendría casi cincuenta años cuando vi un programa de televisión en el que actuaba. Yo era muy pequeño pero ya sentía atracción por la belleza femenina Sus trajes sugerentes, su baile y el ritmo de la canción me llamaron la atención y ya de adolescente buscaba sus canciones en los lugares donde vendían recopilaciones de música antigua.
Para un joven de hoy, sus canciones le parecerán muy inocentes, con un ritmo pegadizo acorde con los viejos tiempos. Pero eso es lo que hay que tener en cuenta. La época en que surgió Raffaella, donde había mucho pudor. Su vestimenta, belleza, movimientos, coreografias y letras eran muy provocativas para lo que el publico estaba acostumbrado.

La Carra' marcó a varias generaciones, fue una gran artista. Actriz, vedette, bailarina, cantante, empresaria. Una mujer que supo construir su carrera profesional. Un personaje que cautivó a mucha gente. La miniserie documental hace mucho hincapié en ese aspecto. El personaje, porque eso era Raffaella Carra. Lo que vieron quienes la admiraron en aquellos tiempos, lo que vemos a través de vídeos en Youtube, es el personaje que ella creó y por el que renunció a muchas cosas.
A través de algunos episodios lo sabremos por testimonios de personas muy cercanas a ella. Familiares, amigos, trabajadores. El lado desconocido. La de Pelloni, la mujer, la persona que tiene que soportar el abandono paterno, la relación con su madre, las calumnias de quienes querían hacerle daño. La mujer que quería ser madre. También la mujer que amaba, sus relaciones amorosas, muy importantes para ella y su éxito profesional.
Lo que vemos en una pantalla es una cosa. Recordemos que todos somos humanos. Actores, cantantes, influencers (son las nuevas estrellas de hoy) inspiran a muchas personas. A veces los idolatran de forma malsana, como si fueran seres superiores, olvidando que son de carne y hueso, como todos, con virtudes y defectos. Con éxitos y fracasos, con luces y sombras. La miniserie documental no trata ningún tema escabroso. Está claro que está hecha desde un punto de vista admirativo.

Raffaella no sólo alcanzó un enorme éxito en su país natal. Su luz traspasó fronteras e idiomas. No sólo como actriz, donde tuvo el valor de alejarse de Hollywood y centrarse en Europa. España fue su segunda patria. Siempre lo expresaba en las entrevistas. Su éxito en aquel país coincidió con los últimos días de Franco y su dura dictadura. Era el comienzo de la era postdictadura, la época conocida como el "destape" español. Televisión, cine, música. Muchos españoles aún vivos deben recordar los sueños que seguramente tuvieron con esta bella artista. ¿Algún español por aquí de aquella época?
Evidentemente todo lo que tenía éxito en España también era bien recibido en Latinoamérica. Su música, sus programas de televisión, causaron furor en este lado del mundo. Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina. Sus giras fueron un gran éxito. Criticado por el público pacato, pero amado por las multitudes. Son personajes que perdurarán en el tiempo.
