Resurgence of Dr Who
40 years ago I religeously watched the 4th Doctor.
Doctor Who books and TV were a staple.
I would watch it on our spare, black & white, TV.
Oh, what an enjoyable time.
Twitter (X.com) has brought together many Doctor Who posts reminiscing about the older series.
I watched up until the 5th Doctor.
Beyond that it was not of much interest to me.
TubiTv
I wanted to watch some Doctor Who & found that non-Australian TubiTv has it (as well as many other cool movies).
Using Proton Free VPN, I was able to enjoy some Doctor Who.
However, as much as I want to watch the 4th Doctor, they have Season 1 Episode of the 1st Doctor where he meets the Daleks for the first time.
1st Doctor & The Daleks: The Escape
This 1964 Episode was amazing to see available.
The Daleks are one of my favourite Dr Who enemies.
The storyline is entertaining and brought back my love of the series.
The Doctor has landed upon the radiated planet of Skaro.
The Daleks are living under the ruined city, while the Thal are a species who have adapted to living upon the surface.
The Daleks, though looking like a Salt & Pepper shaker robot, is actually inhabited by an organic creature.
No Spoilers
I won't spoil the episode for those who don't know about Doctor Who.
There's much to be enjoyed just unwrapping the gift that each episode brings.
To me, it is ageless, in its Stage Play style entwining British Culture & Values into a Science Fiction setting.
