Do you have the courage to face your past?

I have seen this movie more than once and every single time, it seems as though I am watching it for the first time. A lot of effort was put into each scene by each character, including the various film tricks.

Someone said I was watching the second part of the Hitman's Bodyguard and I sincerely don't care. I might have missed out on the first part, I love the second part more. Oh by the way this one is called The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

When the therapist asked Michael Bryce to face his past if he ought to be able to face his future, she was right. The movie might have had a lot of play out about Europe and Greece, the center of the lesson for me was this ideal.

All three important characters had to meet their past and make amends before they were ready for the future.

For instance, the con woman, Sonia Kincaid, had to face her biggest con victim, Aristotle Papadopoulos, and she relived the memories of living an extravagant life with him in the hopes of raising a family. Amidst the seductive roles she played, she had a skeleton in her cupboard. It was nothing but the necklace given to her by Aristotle Papadopoulos. Upon seeing him again, she lied she had suffered from Amnesia.

The hitman, Darius Kincaid, had to face his past by revealing his reasons for visiting the fertility clinic. He had been ball-gunned(if this is a real word, hehehehe) by Michael Bryce in one of their shoot-out. Since he can't have a child, he had to own up to his beloved, Sonia, when it seemed she was slipping away from him.

The almighty, Micheal Bryce had more things in his past than all the characters combined. He lived with the guilt of not being able to protect his mom as a result of a gelato. He lived with the guilt of not being able to protect one of his clients, Kurosawa, from Darius Kincaid. He lived with the guilt of not getting his Triple-A award as a result of the hallucinations. He lived with the guilt of not being able to make his stepdad proud because he had lost everything including his body-guarding license. Facing all of his past, he decided since he had lost everything, he had no worries about anything else.

In essence, the three major characters were able to ride the wind of their past, facing each one, and being able to save Europe as a result of this.

I admired Sonia Kincaid more, she had this energy of a siren, one that cannot be stopped, always burning with excessive fuel, ready to set anything ablaze. Even with all of her vigor and strength, she was soft at heart, wanting only one thing out of Life......Stability. The stability that comes from raising a family. She just wanted to let her past go, when she met Darius, and she was willing to go all the way with him.

The mere fact that she believed herself and Darius were unkillable was funny. I mean could anyone be unkillable? I know it was all part of the fun introduced into the scenes of the movie.

Micheal did a great job protecting all of them even though Sonia did a great job of always tossing him here and there with pills or hitting him with a car.. lolz.

Well, Bobby O'Neill, had always wanted to do the Interpol job, the Boston way, whereby he will use his enemy's enemy to his advantage. He worked with threatening fugitives to bring in more threatening ones to the law. It might have worked well for him in Boston, but his boss, Superintendent Crowley wasn't having any of that until the last minute. Bobby O'Neill made me remember, Robert Greene, says, "your enemy is an untapped goldmine". That's exactly the strategy Bobby was using.

I don't even want to talk about when Sonia made Michael sign his adoption paper thinking it was his license he was getting. That was the craziest move of them all. She truly was a con woman. I respect her.

Seen this movie yet? Yes? What was your favorite scene? You've never seen this movie? You've got to do it soon, I promise you will enjoy it. I hope that once you do, it will help you face your past.
