And finally the day for which I have been waiting so much has come. Due to the fact that 1 trailer for 1 season of "Witcher" was so-so + 3 short teasers did not raise my hype, I was skeptical about this trailer. I am writing this post without preparation so errors may occur and I am writing it from my heart as I feel inside myself, so some opinions may change after watching the sequel to the Netflix series. I was afraid that it would be bad again and I, a great fanboy of Andrzej Sapkowski's books, would complain after watching it, but ... Both my girlfriend and I liked it. Its less than mine, but well ... No way out, she will have to watch both titles with me anyway :). This trailer gave hope that the words of Tomasz Bagiński about the lessons they learned after the premiere of S1, fan feedback, gaining experience while creating S1, are true. I gave them more confidence after what I saw in the photos that came to us over the year and I can see that it has paid off. You can find a detailed description of both trailers on the RI website (links at the end), I will only write about my impressions. Besides, I am very happy about the cooperation between CDPRoject Red and Netflix. Both companies can only benefit from it - Netflix has free subscriptions and an active Witcher community, and the Polish studio has a steady stream of cash (thanks to the success of season 1, the game has experienced another youth + the 1st and 2nd part of the game started to sell better). Let them earn for each other, and they will only benefit from it. Not to mention Andrzej Sapkowski who also got a big piece of the cake in this connection. He got what he deserved. I will probably discuss the gaming part tomorrow, but it will definitely not be as long as this entry. Unless they give me something that will surprise me a lot.

I will start with the excerpts from the short story "A Grain of Truth", in which we will see a well-known actor from "Game of Thrones" and a good duel, which I referred to several times in various texts about "The Witcher" or power levels, the distribution of forces in the context of fantastic worlds. It is about the fight against Bruxia, in which Geralt has the opportunity to show his full power. True, "Witchers" are superhumans, but Vampires in Sapkowski's universe are a kind of Raditz at the beginning of DBZ - they can fly, they are fucking fast, agile, they can massacre the whole body to the max, they pierce the body through with their bare paws, they are so fast that they run away from the possibilities human perception and the Witchers are able to barely keep up with them, or rather follow their movements (if I remember correctly what Geralt said in the context of Regis from the book). Contrary to the remarks of some people who read books long ago and remembered "The Witcher" mainly from games, this is how Sapkowski presented the power of vampires. True, Regis did not make such an impression, but since Bruxia is an ordinary vampire and Regis is a Higher vampire, I can safely assume that the difference between them is the same as Raditz and Vegeta (or at least Nappa), sticking to the DBZ analogy. He moves just as much on the show as I imagined by reading this story 4 times. In general, the whole thing looks like I saw it through the eyes of my imagination - the square, Bruxi movements, the appearance of this house, Nivellen (it appeared on 2 or 3 shots). Sure, there will be changes - after all, Geralt was not accompanied by Ciri in the books then, but the presence of a young Lioness should not change the concept of this story so much. This one is very simple, Sapkowski used the classic fairy tale about a prince turned into a frog and changed it accordingly. I will not spoil it, because not everyone knows the book, but if they film this story faithfully, then ... it will be fucking, trust me :) Lots of laughs, action, Cavill and the "Game of Thrones" actor will be able to show off their skills. I will not reveal the rest, so as not to spoil the situation.
Kaer Morhen and the road to it looks ok. Here, in general, they could easily draw from what CDPR came up with. The appearance of the Witchers' house, as well as most of the elements from the game, came out perfectly, they transferred the world of Sapkowski's prose to TV and monitor screens in an exemplary manner. Ciri and Geralt's training looks ok.
When it comes to Geralt's peers, I can't get used to Coen's different design, but ... Who cares. Well, at least I don't care. It's not my favorite Witcher, and they had to cast someone from minorities for important roles, so I'm not complaining. He gives the impression of a nice boy, that's the most important thing. He will make a lovely pair with Ciri. For the rest, apart from Eskell, we haven't seen any more closely. This one looks cool, though a bit too young - after all, this is the 3rd oldest "Witcher" in Kaer Morhen, Geralt's peer. And his scar does not match the one he had in the book and the game - it looks too cute. The outline of Vessemir's body looks ok, my favorite Lambert ... Well, he looks like an arrogant asshole, I would be friends with him, because I'm a similar person sometimes. I am waiting for him to drink the witcher's vodka and throw profanity at the training Cirilla. The Lioness of Cintra looks great, just like in the books - I'm already looking forward to being possessed, and Lambert and Geralt will have eyes like "WTF IS GOING ON HERE ?!".
The Nilfgaardians have new armor. This is not the level of those games, but it is definitely better than the 1st season. After all, I can see the Empire from the south through me, and a bunch of ragged men wearing armor made from the scrotum of Szarlej (the monster from the "Blood and Wine" DLC). Buttercup looks perfect. Well, it's Dandelion from books and games! Zero difference for me. There weren't many fairies, we got Tissaia, Yennefer after the battle for Sodden and Fringilla. Lots of people complained about them in S1, but I liked them and they fit their roles. Yennefer is the same as in the book (or in other words, the bitch we met in the books was most likely very similar to the one from the series), and Vigo despite the different skin color (in the book she was very pale from what I remember) is similar to her own book creation.
As for the animated film ... His teaser is too short! xD Well, I can see the words of the creators that they said when they created this film. It is supposed to be a kind of "tribute" to films based on battle-shounen manga. Animation, line, everything looks fine. Well, behind the animation is the MIR studio, which gave us the new "Voltron", "The Legend of Korra" or "DOTA: Dragon's Blood", so I can expect the highest quality from them.
No i w końcu nadszedł dzień, na który tak bardzo czekałem. W związku z tym, że 1 trailer do 1 sezonu "Witchera" był taki sobie + 3 krótkie teasery nie podniosły mojego hype'u, to miałem sceptyczne nastawienie przed tym trailerem. Piszę ten wpis bez przygotowania, więc mogą pojawić się błędy, a ja piszę go od serca, tak jak czuję wewnątrz siebie, więc niektóre opinie mogę zmienić po obejrzeniu kontynuacji Netflixowego serialu. Obawiałem się, że znowu będzie kiepsko i ja, wielki fanboy książek Andrzeja Sapkowskiego, będę narzekał po jego obejrzeniu, ale... Zarówno mi jak i mojej dziewczynie się spodobało. Jej mniej niż mi, ale no cóż... Nie ma wyjścia, i tak będzie musiała obejrzeć oba tytuły ze mną :). Ten trailer dał nadzieje na to, że słowa Tomasza Bagińskiego odnośnie lekcji, jakie wyciągnęli po premierze S1, feedbacku fanów, zdobyciu doświadczenia w trakcie tworzenia S1, są prawdziwe. Udzieliłem im większego kredytu zaufania po tym, co zobaczyłem w zdjęciach, które trafiały do nas przez ten rok i widzę, że się opłaciło. Szczegółowe omówienie obu trailerów znajdziecie na stronie RI (linki na końcu), ja napiszę wyłącznie o moich wrażeniach. Poza tym, bardzo mnie cieszy współpraca CDPRoject Red i Netflixa. Obie firmy mogą na tym tylko zyskać - Netflix ma darmowe subskrypcje i aktywne community Witchera, a polskie studio ma stały napływ kasy (dzięki sukcesowi 1 sezonu, gra przeżyła kolejną młodość + zaczęły się lepiej sprzedawać 1 i 2 część gry). Niech wzajemnie na sobie zarabiają, a tylko na tym zyskają. Nie wspominając o Andrzeju Sapkowskim, który też dostał duży kawałek tortu w związku z tym. Dostał to, na co zasłużył. Część związaną z grami omówię pewnie jutro, ale na pewno nie będzie to tak długi wpis jak ten. No chyba, że dadzą coś, co bardzo mnie zaskoczy.
Ta piosenka jest naprawdę dobra, nadaje dobry klimat trailerowi.
Zacznę od omówienia fragmentów z opowiadania "Ziarno Prawdy", w którym zobaczymy znanego aktora z "Gra o Tron" oraz dobry pojedynek, na który kilka razy się powoływałem przy różnych tekstach o "Wiedźminie" lub power levelach, rozkładzie sił w kontekście fantastycznych światów. Chodzi o walkę z Bruxią, w której Geralt ma okazję pokazać pełnię swojej mocy. Fakt, "Wiedźmini" są nadludźmi, ale Wampiry w uniwersum Sapkowskiego, to taki Raditz z początku DBZ - umieją latać, są kurewsko szybcy, zwinni, potrafią zmasakrować całe ciało na maxa, przebijają ciało na wylot gołymi łapami, są tak szybcy że uciekają możliwościom ludzkiej percepcji i Wiedźmini są im w stanie ledwo dotrzymać kroku, czy raczej śledzić ich ruchy (jeśli dobrze zapamiętałem słowa Geralta, które mówił w kontekście Regisa z książki). Wbrew uwagom niektórych ludzi, którzy czytali dawno temu książki i zapamiętali "Wiedźmina" głównie z gier, Sapkowski właśnie tak przedstawił siłę wampirów. Fakt, Regis nie robił aż takiego wrażenia, ale skoro Bruxia to zwykły wampir, a Regis jest wampirem Wyższym, to mogę śmiało założyć, że różnica między nimi jest taka, jak Raditzem, a Vegetą (lub przynajmniej Nappą), trzymając się analogii DBZ. W serialu porusza się tak samo, jak to sobie wyobrażałem, czytając to opowiadanie 4 razy. W ogóle całość wygląda tak, jak to widziałem oczami wyobraźni - plac, ruchy Bruxi, wygląd tego domu, Nivellen (pojawił się na 2, może 3 ujęciach). Jasne, na pewno będą zmiany - w końcu w książkach Geraltowi nie towarzyszyła wtedy Ciri, ale obecność młodej Lwicy nie powinna tak zmienić konceptu tego opowiadania. Ten jest bardzo prosty, Sapkowski wykorzystał klasyczną baśń o księciu zaklętym w żabę i odpowiednio to zmienił. Spoilerował nie będę, bo nie wszyscy znają książkę, ale jeśli wiernie zekranizują to opowiadanie, to... będzie zajebiście, zaufajcie mi :). Dużo śmiechu, akcji, Cavill i aktor z "Gry o Tron" będą mogli zaprezentować swoje umiejętności. Reszty nie zdradzę, by nie spoilerować.
Kaer Morhen i droga do niego wygląda ok. Tutaj generalnie mogli bez problemu czerpać z tego, co wymyślili CDPR. Wygląd domu Wiedźminów, podobnie jak większość elementów z gry wyszła im kapitalnie, wzorowo przenieśli świat prozy Sapkowskiego na ekrany telewizorów i monitorów. Trening Ciri, Geralta wygląda ok.
Jeśli chodzi o rówieśników Geralta, to trochę nie mogę się przyzwyczaić do innego designu Coena, ale... Who cares. No, przynajmniej ja mam to gdzieś. Nie jest to mój ulubiony Wiedźmin, a musieli kogoś obsadzić z mniejszości do ważnych ról, więc nie narzekam. Sprawia wrażenie sympatycznego chłopca, to najważniejsze. Będzie tworzył uroczą parę z Ciri. Co do reszty - poza Eskellem nie widzieliśmy żadnego dokładniej. Ten wygląda wporzo, choć trochę za młodo - to w końcu 3 najstarszy "Wiedźmin" w Kaer Morhen, rówieśnik Geralta. No i ta jego blizna nie pasuje do tej, którą miał w książce i grze - za słodko wygląda. Zarys ciała Vessemira wygląda ok, mój ulubieniec Lambert... No wygląda na aroganckiego dupka, zaprzyjaźniłbym się nim, bo bywam podobnym człowiekiem. Czekam aż będzie pił wiedźmińską wódkę i rzucał wulgaryzmami do trenującej Cirilli. Lwica z Cintry wygląda super, dokładnie tak jak w książkach - już się nie mogę doczekać aż będzie opętana, a Lambert i Geralt będą mieli oczy typu "WTF IS GOING ON HERE?!".
Nilfgaardczycy mają nowe zbroje. Nie jest to poziom tych z gier, ale jest zdecydowanie lepiej względem 1 sezonu. W końcu widzę przez sobą Imperium z południa, a bandę obdartusów, którzy noszą zbroje zrobione z moszny Szarleja (potwora z DLC "Blood and Wine"). Jaskier wygląda perfekcyjnie. No kurwa, to Jaskier z książek i gier! Zero różnicy jak dla mnie. Czarodziejek nie było zbyt wiele, dostaliśmy Tissaię, Yennefer po bitwie o Sodden i Fringillę. Dużo ludzi na nie narzekało w S1, ale mi się podobały i pasowały do swoich ról. Yennefer jest taka sama, jak w książce (albo inaczej, ta suka którą poznaliśmy w książkach najprawdopodobniej była bardzo podobna do tej z serialu), a Vigo mimo innego koloru skóry (w książce była bardzo blada z tego, co pamiętam) jest zbliżona do swojej książkowej kreacji.
Jeśli chodzi o film animowany, to... Jego teaser jest przede wszystkim za krótki! xD No ale widzę w potwierdzenie słów twórców, które wypowiadali gdy tworzyli ten film. Ma to być swoisty "hołd" dla filmów powstałych na podstawie mang z gatunku battle-shounen. Animacja, kreska, wszystko wygląda dobrze. No ale za animacją stoi studio MIR, które dało nam nowego "Voltrona", "The Legend of Korra", czy "DOTA: Dragon's Blood, więc mogę się po nich spodziewać najwyższej jakości.
