En mi breve experiencia utilizando Mubi, mencioné en un post anterior la primera producción que vi. En esta ocasión, quiero hablarles sobre la segunda y última película que pude ver con esa suscripción (ya que no tuve la oportunidad de ver más). Sin embargo, estoy organizándome para adquirir otra suscripción y poder disfrutarla realmente.
In my brief experience using Mubi, I mentioned in a previous post the first production I saw. This time, I want to tell you about the second and last movie I was able to watch with that subscription (since I didn't have the opportunity to watch more). However, I am getting organized to purchase another subscription to really enjoy it.

| Aimee es la hija mayor y podemos notar el difícil momento que atraviesa al perder su trabajo, su pareja y enfrentar una condición de salud. Por otro lado, Brigid se muda con su pareja a un nuevo dúplex, pero ambos se encuentran deprimidos y tratando de superar sus problemas. También está la abuela, que sufre de demencia, y los padres, quienes durante toda la velada parecen algo desconectados, lidiando no solo con los problemas de sus hijas, sino también con los suyos, y teniendo que confesar al final oscuros secretos inesperados. | Aimee is the eldest daughter and we can notice the difficult time she is going through after losing her job, her partner and facing a health condition. | El detalle de utilizar el dúplex como foco principal (ya que es donde se desarrolla toda la película) me pareció muy acertado. A medida que avanza la trama, se puede sentir una cierta incomodidad y tensión, e incluso una especie de claustrofobia, al ver a todos los personajes arrinconados tratando de asimilar la noche. | The detail of using the duplex as the main focus (since it is where the whole film takes place) seemed to me to be very successful. As the plot progresses, you can feel a certain discomfort and tension, and even a kind of claustrophobia, seeing all the characters cornered trying to assimilate the night. |

| Sin embargo, mi única crítica sería la duración. No digo que no me haya gustado, pero siento que la película se mantuvo un tanto estática a lo largo de su tiempo. En algunos momentos, notamos diferentes interacciones entre los personajes, mientras que en otros simplemente no sucede nada y queda a la expectativa. | However, my only criticism would be the length. I'm not saying I didn't like it, but I feel that the film remained somewhat static throughout its running time. At some points, we notice different interactions between the characters, while at others nothing simply happens and it's left to the expectation. |
