Hello everyone! I haven't been here for a while, but I have to tell you a little of what I saw these carnival days, between catching up with some series that I'm watching for a while and a couple of movies that I'll tell you later, I was hooked on this series, which Netflix just released last week, and it has many elements that hook me in a TV show, real facts, mystery and a good plot, I'm talking about the Italian series created by Letizia Lamartire and Matteo Rovere, and of which I have read very good references, The Law of Lidia Poët, defined by some as a judicial drama, and that is about the life of the first Italian lawyer Lidia Poët, who is thanked for creating the revolution that would give entry to women to positions like this and others.

Starring Matilda De Angelis, playing Lawyer Lidia Poët, a woman who from a young age showed that she did not want to be the same as the other women of the time who were only raised to take care of the home and raise children, on the contrary, was a young woman whose intelligence and tenacity emerged from a very young age, and although with a very active sexual life, as the mini-series shows, hers was not love. He is joined by Pier Luigi Pasino as Enrico Poët, his brother, a lawyer who runs a law firm and to whom Lidia goes when she finds herself on the street with no home to live in, and where she meets Eduardo Scarpetta as Jacopo Barberis, Enrico's brother-in-law who finds himself involved in a love triangle between Lidia and Andrea, played by Dario Aita.

There are 6 chapters that this miniseries delivers us, and with different cases that this tenacious lawyer comes to solve, with plots very much in the style of Sherlock Holmes, where it is also present at all times the appeal that this makes to be accepted again in the guild of lawyers, which is expelled in the first chapter, nuances of his childhood are made to see, his relationship quite hard with his father, and details of his private life, added to a touch of fiction, a lot of mystery and yes, a bit of drama. I must say that I do not know the work of any of these actors, as I am not a regular of Italian cinema or television, so I will only limit myself to what I thought of their performance in this miniseries, which I thought was great, a very good impression in fact.

Scenes with nudity and a lot of eroticism, is another of the things we find in this plot, it seems that Lidia's life was anything but boring. It is a series that leaves us with that feeling of dissatisfaction, of wanting at least another 6 more chapters, the truth is I loved it! As for the setting, costumes, scenery, is very consistent with the era, love the costumes and lighting of the same, which in my opinion is as serious as it would be in the late nineteenth century.

What didn't I like about the series? Too short, hahaha it's a plot that can be exploited much more, it would probably be more fiction, and although it has accumulated more than 28 million views in the short time it has been available, it is still little known if there is a possibility of a second season, which would be great, to know what happens after his appeal was not approved, and how was the moment in which according to history his struggle gave the desired results. I must say, if you are a lover of period stories, this is a good choice to bully this weekend, I give it a 9/10.

Rato sin pasearme por aquí, pero tengo que contarles un poco de lo que vi estos días de carnavales, entre ponerme al día con algunas series que estoy viendo desde hace rato y un par de películas que ya les contare luego, me quede prendada a esta serie, que recién estreno Netflix la semana pasada, y es que tiene muchos elementos que me enganchan en un programa de televisión, hechos reales, misterio y una buena trama, les hablo de la serie italiana creada por Letizia Lamartire y Matteo Rovere, y de la cual he leído muy buenas referencias, La Ley de Lidia Poët, definido por algunos como un drama judicial, y que trata sobre la vida de la primera abogado italiana Lidia Poët, a quien se le agradece por crear la revolución que daría entrada a las mujeres a cargos como este y otros más.

Protagonizada por Matilda De Angelis, interpretando a la Abogado Lidia Poët, una mujer que desde pequeña demostraba que no quería se igual que las demás mujeres de la época que solo eran criadas para atender el hogar y criar hijos, por el contrario, fue una joven que desde muy pequeña demostró su inteligencia y tenacidad, y aunque con una vida sexual muy activa, como lo hace ver la mini serie, lo de ella no era el amor. Le acompañan Pier Luigi Pasino como Enrico Poët, su hermano, un abogado que dirige un bufete y a quien Lidia acude cuando se ve en la calle sin casa a donde vivir, y en donde conoce a Eduardo Scarpetta como Jacopo Barberis, cuñado de Enrico y quien se ve envuelto en un triángulo amoroso entre Lidia y Andrea, interpretado por Dario Aita.

Son 6 los capítulos que esta miniserie nos entrega, y con casos diferentes que llega a resolver esta tenaz abogada, con tramas muy al estilo de Sherlock Holmes, en donde además se hace presente en todo momento la apelación que esta hace para que la vuelvan a aceptar en el gremio de abogados, del cual es expulsada en el primer capítulo, matices de su infancia se hacen ver, su relación bastante dura con su padre, y detalles de su vida privada, sumadas a un toque de ficción, mucho misterio y si, un poco de drama. Debo decir que no conozco el trabajo de ninguno de estos actores, pues no soy asidua del cine o la televisión italiana, por lo que solo me limitare a lo que me pareció la actuación de estos en esta miniserie, la cual me pareció estupenda, una muy buena impresión me dejó de hecho.

Escenas con desnudos y bastante erotismo, es otra de las cosas que encontramos en esta trama, tal parece que la vida de Lidia fue de todo menos aburrida. Es una serie que nos deja esa sensación de insatisfacción, de querer al menos otros 6 capítulos más, la verdad ¡Me encanto! En cuanto a la ambientación, vestuario, escenografía, está muy acorde con la época, ame el vestuario y la iluminación de la misma, que a mi juicio esta como seria en ese final del siglo XIX.

¿Que no me gusto de la serie? Muy corta, jajaja es una trama a la que se le puede explotar mucho más, probablemente sería más ficción, y aunque ha acumulado más de 28 millones de vistas en el corto tiempo que lleva disponible, aun es poco lo que se sabe si hay posibilidades de una segunda temporada, lo cual sería genial, saber que sucede luego de que su apelación no fuera aprobada, y como fue el momento en el que según la historia su lucha dio los frutos deseados. Debo decir que, si eres amante de las historias de época, esta es una buena opción para matonear este fin de semana, le soy un 9/10.
