Los que no somos padres vemos bien padre (Como dicen los mexicanos) ser buen padre... Es una aspiración (en lo personal) Que debe vivirse como parte necesaria y vital en nuestras vidas (Unos la viven temprano, otros tarde. Al final, la vida no es una comptencia, ni un guion y cada quien la vive a su manera)
Uno observando la figura paterna, se da cuenta que no sólo la madre es capaz de dar el todo por el todo por sus hijos. Hay padres que son capaces de dar el todo por el todo. Es la figura de protección, provisión y autoridad familiar, cuando está presente en el núcleo familiar.
En un país como (Por ejemplo) Venezuela en donde cada 3 de 4 mamás son madres solteras. El papel de buen padre, es casi algo que insólito. En otras partes del mundo, el papel de padre tiene sus peculiaridades propias pero el mismo amor positivo por la prole... En esta oportunidad es propicio hablar de los sacrificios que muchos padres son capaces de hacer por hacer una crianza de bien en sus hijos. De eso se trata King Williams, el método Williams o Rey Willians o como quieran llamarle.

Pues las consecuencias para su carrera fueron y son muy dañinas en un legado que tiene mucho más de 25 años de trayectoria. Anterior a eso, este artista había sido nominado al Oscar por películas como "Alí" o "En busca de la Felicidad" sin lograr el tan anhelado premio, el cual es la cumbre para cualquier actor de fama reconocida. No obstante, no tocaremos ese punto porque eso sería cuestión de hablarlo en otra publicación...
Lo que si vamos hablar es de su premiación de mejor actor en los premios Oscar de 2022 por haber protagonizado y producido la película "King Williams"
Esta obra cinematográfica relata la biografía a través del drama, del padre de las campeonas Venus y Serena Williams (hermanas Williams) y sus triunfos en los escenarios de los campeonatos del tenis mundial. Esta película, nos describe hasta que punto un padre protege a sus hijas para construir en ellas, no sólo a campeonas deportivas sino a campeonas de la vida, en esa búsqueda incesante de ganar reconocimiento y respeto social en un país y en un mundo; donde las personas afroamericanas sufren discriminación social en un deporte de élite y que por tradición, es de protagonistas blancos.
Podemos imaginar hasta que punto tuvo que luchar un padre de talentos mundiales, en un medio en el cual, sufrió vejaciones (incluyendo sus hijas) abusos, discriminaciones e injusticias en ese camino que supone el éxito contra todo pronóstico, para poder trascender en el medio deportivo... Crear un método de hacedores de campeones, en un mundo de tenis tan injusto y competitivo, más allá del sacrificio y lo sobrehumano para lograr no solamente el éxito personal sino familiar, es algo que pocas personas alcanzan en el mundo deportivo.
Colocar los valores y la familia en un mundo que es absorbido por el consumismo, la avaricia y el éxito individualista; es algo pocas veces visto. Venus y Serena Willians son las primeras campeonas afroamericanas en titularse: Campeonas mundiales de tenis en los mejores eventos mundiales del deporte blanco, algo trascendental cuando algo que debería ser eliminado del universo, como el racismo, sigue presente como esa especie de mancha humana que algún día debería desaparecer completamente...
