Is Lord Farquaad the son of Snow White? [¿Lord Farquaad es hijo de blancanieves?]

There is a crazy theory that says that Lord Farquaad is the son of Snow White and Grumpy. This idea is based on some details that appear in the first Shrek movie. This film is a parody of classic fairy tales and most of its characters are inspired by these stories. But which villain does Lord Farquaad come from? Not at all, this is a character created exclusively for the Shrek franchise. That is why many of us wonder who was inspired to create this villain. To answer this, the theory arose that Lord Farquaad is the son of Snow White and one of the seven dwarfs, Grumpy. One of the pieces of evidence that supposedly confirms this theory is Lord Farquaad's haircut, which is very similar to Snow White's (short, dark hair) and the similarities in their clothing (puffed sleeves). On the other hand, his height, color of clothing and character are very similar to Grumpy. Furthermore, the film shows us that Farquad is the owner of the magic mirror that the queen in the Snow White movie asks who is the most beautiful. The mirror appears showing the villain who are the possible candidates for a future wife. Up to that point the theory seems to make sense until the mirror shows Snow White as one of the bachelorettes to choose which would break the entire theory. Furthermore, in the third Shrek movie Snow White appears and they show her younger than Lord Farquaad is.

Existe una loca teoría que dice que Lord Farquaad es hijo de Blancanieves y Gruñón. Esta idea se basa en algunos detalles que salen en la primera película de Shrek. Este filme es una parodia de los clásicos cuentos de hadas y la mayoría de sus personajes se inspiran en estas historias. Pero, ¿de cuál villano proviene Lord Farquaad? De ninguno, este es un personaje creado exclusivamente para la franquicia de Shrek. Es por ello que muchos nos preguntamos en quién se inspiraron para crear este villano. Para darle respuesta a esto surgió la teoría que afirma que Lord Farquaad es hijo de Blancanieves y uno de los siete enanos, Gruñón. Una de las pruebas que supuestamente confirma esta teoría es el corte de cabello de Lord Farquaad que es muy parecido al de Blancanieves (cabello corto y oscuro) y las similitudes en sus vestimentas (mangas abuchonadas). Por otra parte su estatura, color de ropa y carácter son muy parecidos a Gruñón. Además en la película nos muestra que Farquaad es el dueño del espejo mágico al que la reina en la película de Blancanieves le pregunta quién es la más hermosa. El espejo aparece mostrándole al villano quiénes son las posibles candidatas a futura esposa. Hasta ese punto la teoría parece tener sentido hasta que el espejo le muestra a Blancanieves como una de las solteras a escoger lo cual rompería con toda la teoría. Además en la tercera película de Shrek aparece Blancanieves y la muestran más joven de lo que es Lord Farquaad.

It is also revealed that her mother is the protagonist of the story "The Princess and the Pea." She had to leave her throne to marry Grumpy, they had Farquad and she died when he was very little. The villain always said that his father had abandoned him; but this is denied by Grumpy who said that he had to kick him out of his house because he was 28 years old and still living in the basement. Con esto la teoría queda totalmente descartada, sin embargo, hay una obra de teatro de se afirma que el papá de este villano sí es Gruñón. Además se revela que su madre es la protagonista del cuento "La princesa y el guisante". Ella tuvo que dejar su trono para casarse con Gruñón, tuvieron a Farquad y ella falleció cuando él era muy pequeño. El villano siempre decía que su papá lo había abandonado; pero esto es desmentido por Gruñón quien dijo que tuvo que expulsarlo de su casa porque tenía 28 años y todavía vivía en el sótano.
