The Mandalorian shows that Disney's use of the Star Wars Iicense must be taken seriously

Prepare to get attached šŸ’•šŸŒŒšŸ„ŗ

The Mandalorian first came out in 2019 with its initial season on Disney+. Then in 2020, we got season two. I watched the first season right away, but it took me until 2022 to complete season two. I mentioned in a previous post how The Mandalorian is heavily connected to The Book of Boba Fett. You can almost look at Boba Fett as season three of Mando, except there is going to be a third season of The Mandalorian so we can't say that officially. This can all become confusing, but I swear if you just sit back and watch both shows, you will love them. This goes for fans of Star Wars and people totally new to it.

Although I have watched every Star Wars movie, I didn't even know what a Mandalorian was until this show. I had seen the armor before but assumed it was just how some bounty hunters looked. Mandalorians are a clan of the fiercest warriors across the galaxy. As a Mandalorian, you swear by a creed and vow to never take off your helmet. Their armor is made of Beskar, which is strong enough to survive even a lightsaber.

The Mandolorian follows one specific man named Din Djarin. You will just come to know him as Mando. He is all about completing his missions and obtaining rewards for doing so. He travels by way of The Razor Crest ship that he pilots and typically works alone. This guy pretty much never shows emotion.

This all changes when Mando finds "The Child" aka "Baby Yoda". You may recognize this species to be the same as the famed Master Yoda, but they are two different people. The species is shrouded by mystery and doesn't even have a name. It is the short little green people, that is the easiest way to remember. This child is actually named Grogo, although Mando doesn't realize that until much later into the story. Gorgo falls under Mando's protection and he is tasked with delivering the child to safety.

This show does such an amazing job of turning Grogo into the cutest creature ever. He doesn't speak, but he is intelligent and has a connection to the force. The child is mischievous and looks at Mando like a father figure. All Mando wants to do is complete his mission, but he begins to care for Grogo more than he expected to.

Mando is such a badass. His armor and battle skills allow him to come out on top in nearly every single situation. Grogo is pretty much always there to narrowly escape getting hurt too. The combination of the two really tugs at your emotions and will even make you laugh often. This feels like Star Wars, but it also has some new additions to allow it to evolve into something that even more people can now enjoy.

If you somehow haven't already watched this show, I must say you are certainly missing out. The story is deep and there is plenty of action sprinkled in there to keep things exciting. I can never get enough Star Wars and am so glad that Disney is giving us so many good shows to enjoy. Check out this article to so other Star Wars projects that will soon be released.

If it is not already clear, I highly recommend The Mandalorian. Just be sure that you watch seasons one and two before you begin watching The Book of Boba Fett since they are so closely connected. You will see many characters blend between the two different shows. Here are the trailers for Season 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian. Season 3 is said to possibly release by the end of 2022, fingers crossed.
