Greetings to all of you who are part of this Movies and TV shows community. This time I share with you my participation in the "best actor and best actress" contest. I hope you enjoy it.
Para nadie es un secreto el hecho de que cuando hablamos de un tema tan amplio y diverso como lo es la actuación, nos encontramos con muchas personas que hacen un excelente trabajo, que nos permiten sumergirnos en ese universo de historias y relatos que engrandecen cada día más el mundo cinematográfico.
Estoy seguro que a la mayoría se nos puso algo difícil tener que escoger un actor y una actriz favorita entre muchos, pero a la vez ha sido interesante porque nos permite plasmar ese efecto y carisma que podemos experimentar cuando los vemos actuar. En visto de esto, a través de esta publicación les voy a hablar de esos dos profesionales que escogí para este tema.
It is no secret that when we talk about a subject as broad and diverse as acting, we find many people who do an excellent job, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the universe of stories and tales that enhance the world of film every day.
I am sure that most of us had a hard time choosing a favorite actor and actress among many, but at the same time it has been interesting because it allows us to capture that effect and charisma that we can experience when we see them act. In view of this, through this publication I am going to tell you about those two professionals I chose for this topic.
La primera vez que vi a esta actriz fue gracias a mi madre, ya que una de sus películas favoritas es “Ghost” donde Demi es una de las protagonistas. Dicen que siempre la primera impresión es la mejor, y en este caso me gustó mucho el personaje interpretado por Demi en donde tenía que transmitir esa especie de duelo y nostalgia que padecía a causa de la muerte de su pareja. A partir de allí tanto la película como Demi llamaron mucho mi atención y de esta forma, aunque no soy tan fanático de las películas y los actores, siempre estuve pendiente de verla actuar en otros films.
The first time I saw this actress was thanks to my mother, since one of her favorite movies is "Ghost" where Demi is one of the main characters. They say that the first impression is always the best, and in this case I really liked the character played by Demi where she had to transmit that kind of grief and nostalgia that she suffered because of the death of her partner. From then on, both the film and Demi caught my attention and so, although I am not a big fan of movies and actors, I was always on the lookout to see her acting in other films.
Y fue entonces cuando a través de “Indecente proposal” y “Striptease” aquel personaje dulce y con carita de ángel del principio mostró también sus dotes de encanto y sensualidad. La forma en como esta mujer encarna su pasión y la manera como la transmite hacia su personaje se nota muy natural, una actuación que permite entender mucho mejor la trama de la película.
Una de las cosas que considero muy atractiva para toda mujer es ese look de cabello bien alargado, pero en el caso de Demi debo admitir que desde el primer momento rompió mis parámetros, a tal punto que confieso que para mí, ella es la única mujer que con el look de cabello corto me parece de las más hermosas que he visto.
And it was then when through "Indecente Proposal" and "Striptease" that sweet and angel-faced character from the beginning also showed her charm and sensuality. The way this woman embodies her passion and the way she transmits it to her character is very natural, a performance that allows us to understand the plot of the film much better.
One of the things that I consider very attractive for every woman is that long hair look, but in Demi's case I must admit that from the first moment she broke my parameters, to the point that I confess that for me, she is the only woman with short hair look that I think is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.
Y esto lo ratifiqué cuando en la película “A few good men” (Cuestión de honor) Demi combinó ese look con un uniforme militar, creo que esta es la actuación en la que Demi desplegó toda su belleza, y entre las muchas películas en las que ha participado, para mí en esta su belleza habla y resplandece con luz propia.
Claro, después de ver “A few good men” quizás uno pudiera pensar que tal sutileza de personaje no puede dar origen a algo más fuerte, y de repente te encuentras con una película en donde se pone a prueba el coraje y la tenacidad de Demi para interpretar un personaje. “G l Jane” (Hasta el límite) se convierte en esa mejor opción para ahora ver esos dotes de Demi en un escenario y un papel bastante rudo para una mujer.
And this was ratified when in the movie "A few good men" (A matter of honor) Demi combined that look with a military uniform, I think this is the performance in which Demi displayed all her beauty, and among the many films in which she has participated, for me in this one her beauty speaks and shines with its own light.
Of course, after seeing "A Few Good Men" one might think that such subtlety of character could not give rise to something stronger, and suddenly you find yourself with a film where Demi's courage and tenacity to play a character is put to the test. "G l Jane" (To the Limit) becomes that best option to now see Demi's gifts on a stage and a pretty badass role for a woman.
Pero no todo es belleza y carácter en la actuación, pues a veces hay historias donde la sapiencia e inteligencia de un personaje deben ser llevadas con tal similitud, y es aquí donde una dura y perseverante detective es protagonizada por Demi en la película “Mr Brooks”. Debo admitir que al principio pensé que no le quedaría bien este rol y menos si en la película se habla de la mejor detective del momento, pero luego de verla si me pareció estar a la altura de la trama.
Y si hablamos de una mujer comprensiva, pacífica y en donde se le puede ir la vida por un mundo de engaño, “Amor a ciegas” es esa clase de película en la que vemos a una mujer inteligente pero vulnerable a una situación que puede marcar su vida de forma significativa, todo un reto en donde hay más que mostrar aparte de carácter y belleza. Quizás lo único que no me gustó fue que en estas últimas películas, Demi cambió su clásico look para dar paso al cabello largo pero aun así no deslució en belleza y presencia.
But not everything is beauty and character in acting, because sometimes there are stories where the wisdom and intelligence of a character must be carried with such similarity, and this is where a tough and persevering detective is starred by Demi in the movie "Mr Brooks". I must admit that at first I thought that she would not fit this role and even less if the film talks about the best detective of the moment, but after watching it, she seemed to be at the height of the plot.
And if we are talking about a sympathetic, peaceful woman whose life can go through a world of deception, "Blind Love" is that kind of movie in which we see an intelligent but vulnerable woman in a situation that can mark her life significantly, a challenge where there is more to show besides character and beauty. Maybe the only thing I didn't like was that in these last movies, Demi changed her classic look to give way to long hair but even so she didn't lack in beauty and presence.
Heath Ledger es sin duda un digno ejemplo de una carrera que tristemente no pudo ser tan larga como muchos lo habríamos deseado pero si lo suficiente para ser, en mi opinión, uno de los mejores actores que ha pasado por la gran pantalla. Recuerdo que la primera película que vi de él fue “El patriota” junto con Mel Gibson haciendo el papel de su hijo. Realmente disfruté muchísimo la película, y para mi gusto la película se parte en el momento en el que Gabriel (el nombre del personaje) pierde la vida. Su personaje mostraba destellos de un hombre pasivo pero feroz cuando se lo proponía, con el valor y la gallardía de un verdadero guerrero.
Heath Ledger is undoubtedly a worthy example of a career that sadly could not be as long as many would have wished but long enough to be, in my opinion, one of the best actors to ever grace the big screen. I remember the first movie I saw of his was "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson playing his son. I really enjoyed the movie very much, and for my taste the movie breaks at the moment when Gabriel (the character's name) loses his life. His character showed flashes of a passive but fierce man when he put his mind to it, with the courage and gallantry of a true warrior.
Luego llegó la película “A knight s tale” (Corazón de caballero) con un Heath combinando la valentía, la osadía y el amor hasta con un poco de humor para transmitir un excelente personaje que es uno de mis favoritos el caballero “Ulrich Von Liechtenstein”. Aquí se puede notar la comodidad que Heath sentía con estos personajes soñadores e ilusos que transmiten la pasión y el amor necesario de todo caballero.
Then came the film "A knight's tale" with Heath combining bravery, daring and love even with a bit of humor to convey an excellent character that is one of my favorites the knight "Ulrich Von Liechtenstein". Here you can see the comfort Heath felt with these dreamy, deluded characters that convey the passion and love necessary for any knight.
La película “Candy” narra la debacle de un poeta soñador que termina arruinando su vida y la de su chica por los vicios y las malas decisiones en la vida. Aquí el papel de Heath es fantástico porque en una misma película debe ir cambiando el patrón de conducta del personaje, ir de mejor a peor y eso no es nada fácil, y menos si se debe hacer todo en la misma película. Psicológicamente el mensaje es algo fuerte, con mucha más razón la actuación también lo es pero Heath logró mantener el hilo de una buena actuación en una trama tan cambiante como frustrante. En buena parte me sentí identificado con esta historia gracias a la destacable manera de Heath a la hora de expresar esos sentimientos negativos correspondientes a cada escena.
The movie "Candy" narrates the debacle of a dreamer poet who ends up ruining his life and his girl's life because of vices and bad decisions in life. Here Heath's role is fantastic because in the same film he has to change the character's behavior pattern, going from better to worse and that is not easy, especially if you have to do everything in the same film. Psychologically the message is a bit strong, even more so the acting, but Heath managed to keep the thread of a good performance in a plot as changing as frustrating. I identified with this story to a large extent thanks to Heath's remarkable way of expressing those negative feelings corresponding to each scene.
Y entonces llega la actuación que para mí consagró a Heath Ledger y lo puso en un lugar donde pasará mucho tiempo por todo lo alto, pero no vestido de héroe sino de villano. “Batman: the Dark night” es sencillamente la mejor película que he visto en cuanto a su género y por muchos detalles en los que necesitaría una reseña aparte para esa joya del cine, pero aquí hablaremos es del papel de Heath como el guasón.
Heath Ledger ha protagonizado un personaje con muchísima historia y lo hizo de forma magistral. De principio a fin queda claro la clase de loco y desquiciado que es el guasón, y no encuentro falla alguna en tal actuación. Lo vi muy cómodo con este rol de malo, parecía disfrutar siendo un villano y hasta las escenas improvisadas resultaron ser de las mejores en la película. Esta fue esa clase de actuaciones en las que terminas amando más al villano que al propio héroe y a mi juicio esta es una de las películas en las que veo que Batman no salió victorioso ni pudo contra su rival.
Las expresiones faciales, la manera de caminar y el tono de la voz y la risa fueron sencillamente espectaculares. Heath tuvo la capacidad de incluso subir el nivel de actuación para quien se atreva en un futuro a tomar el reto de revivir a este icono de la maldad como lo es el guasón. Disfruté de lleno metiéndome en el personaje y siendo el malo junto con Heath y cada vez que la veo siento la misma emoción y expectativa como el primer día que la vi.
And then comes the performance that for me consecrated Heath Ledger and put him in a place where he will spend a long time in style, but not dressed as a hero but as a villain. "Batman: the Dark night" is simply the best movie I've seen in terms of its genre and for many details in which I would need a separate review for that gem of cinema, but here we will talk is about Heath's role as the Joker.
Heath Ledger has played a character with a lot of history and he did it in a masterful way. From start to finish it is clear what kind of crazy and unhinged maniac the Joker is, and I can't find any fault with his performance. I saw him very comfortable with this bad guy role, he seemed to enjoy being a villain and even the improvised scenes turned out to be some of the best in the movie. This was that kind of performance where you end up loving the villain more than the hero himself and in my opinion this is one of the movies where I see that Batman didn't come out victorious nor could he against his rival.
The facial expressions, the way he walked and the tone of voice and laugh were simply spectacular. Heath had the ability to even raise the acting bar for anyone who might take on the challenge of reviving this icon of evil as the Joker in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed getting into character and being the bad guy along with Heath and every time I watch it I feel the same excitement and expectation as the first day I saw it.
Demi Moore y Heath Ledger son esa clase de actores a los que puedes sacar de su zona de confort y asignarles cualquier papel con la seguridad de que tendrás un resultado de alta calidad, claro que hay que admitir que no existe perfección en la actuación y quizás haya un personaje que también hayan develado alguna falencia en ellos. Pero en rasgos generales y por todo lo que he experimentado al ver sus películas, los considero como mis favoritos entre muchos buenos actores que aunque no los mencione, sé que tienen grandes virtudes en el mundo de la actuación.
Lástima que en el caso de Heath su carrera haya terminado de la forma en la que terminó. Me habría gustado ver una película entre estos dos grandes actores sumergidos en una trama de suspenso y acción. Con todo y esto, no es difícil imaginar a una chica tan hermosa como Demi tratando de seducir a un caballero como Heath, o una mujer de alto rango militar tratando de atrapar a un genio de la locura como lo fue el guasón. Cada vez que veo una película con alguno de estos dos actores, siento esa armonía especial de poder entender mejor al personaje y me meto de lleno a la trama de la historia con más facilidad.
Espero que esta publicación sea algo más que un reconocimiento a esos sobresalientes artistas que dedican sus vidas a rememorar historias que llegan a formar parte de nuestras vidas. Demi Moore y Heath Ledger son dos grandes entre los grandes, honor y excelencia a sus notables carreras.
Demi Moore and Heath Ledger are the kind of actors that you can take out of their comfort zone and assign them any role with the certainty that you will have a high quality result, of course we must admit that there is no perfection in acting and perhaps there is a character that they have also unveiled a flaw in them. But in general terms and for all that I have experienced when watching their films, I consider them as my favorites among many good actors that although I do not mention them, I know that they have great virtues in the world of acting.
Too bad in Heath's case his career ended the way it did. I would have liked to see a movie between these two great actors immersed in a plot of suspense and action. All in all, it's not hard to imagine a beautiful girl like Demi trying to seduce a gentleman like Heath, or a woman of high military rank trying to trap a mad genius like the Joker. Every time I watch a movie with either of these two actors, I feel that special harmony of being able to understand the character better and I get right into the plot of the story more easily.
I hope this publication is more than just a recognition of those outstanding artists who dedicate their lives to recalling stories that become part of our lives. Demi Moore and Heath Ledger are two greats among the greats, honor and excellence to their remarkable careers.
