🎬 THE HORROR/COMEDY GENRE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL IF IT IS AIMED AT A NEUTRAL AUDIENCE OR PRESENTED AS IT SHOULD BE.
Yesterday I was going through my to watch list where I have a few dozen movies that I haven't had a chance to see, since I had some free time I took the initiative to watch some comedy and horror because I usually divide movies by genre and have an order.
🇪🇸 EL GÉNERO DE TERROR / COMEDIA PUEDE TENER ÉXITO SI APUNTA HACIA UN PÚBLICO NEUTRO O SE PRESENTA COMO DEBE SER.
El día de ayer estaba revisando mi lista de pendientes donde tengo unas cuantas docenas de películas que no he tenido la oportunidad de ver, ya que tenía un tiempo libre tome la iniciativa de ver algo de comedia y terror porque suelo dividir las películas por género y tener un orden.
In my list I had this movie that I already had an idea thanks to the fact that its director is Mr. (Christopher Landon) and it is not because I have recognized the name of the director, as those who read me know very well that I am not one to keep an eye on the technical specifications and even less on the filmography of directors, screenwriters, etc. For that you have the internet or YouTube to look for that information here the important thing is that you know my opinion, criticism or point of view about X movie.
I managed to connect with the movie because in the credits or trailer showed that they were the same creators of two movies that I could see and enjoy a lot as Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and Happy Death Day which I recommend if you are one of those viewers who do not want to give much importance to the plot and just want to watch a movie and see what happens without being with high expectations, just watch and let it flow what has to flow.
Something very curious that happens with this type of genre where horror meets comedy is that you can not have illusions that you will see something that will cause you terror or to the extent something suspenseful, you must understand that you will only see scenes with some blood and humor that can be acid, black or very cool, but its sole purpose is to try to make you laugh starting from that point is where I want to start and focus my review today.
🇪🇸 En mi lista tenía esta película que ya le tenía una idea gracias a que su director es el señor (Christopher Landon) y no es porque haya reconocido el nombre del director ya saben muy bien aquellos que me leen que yo no soy de estar pendiente ni de la ficha técnica a y menos de la filmografía de directores, guionistas, etc. Para eso tienen ustedes internet o YouTube para buscar esa información aquí lo importante es que ustedes sepan mi opinión, crítica o punto de vista sobre X película.
Logre conectar con la película porque en los créditos o tráiler mostraban que eran los mismos creadores de do películas que pude ver y disfrutar muchísimo como lo son Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse y Happy Death Day las cuales recomiendo si eres de eso espectadores que no le quieren dar mucha importancia a la trama y solo quieren ver una película y ver que sucede sin estar con expectativas alta, solo ver y que fluya lo que tenga que fluir.
Algo muy curioso que pasa con este tipo de géneros donde se une el terror con la comedia es que no te puedes hacer ilusiones con que verás algo que te cause terror o en su medida algo de suspenso, debes entender que solo verás escenas con algo de sangre y un humor que puede ser ácido, negro o muy fresa, pero que su único objetivo es intentar hacerte reír partiendo desde ese punto es donde quiero iniciar y enfocar mi reseña del día de hoy.

🎬 WHAT'S THE MOVIE ABOUT?
I'LL TELL YOU QUICKLY AND WITHOUT SPOILERS, IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!
This is a movie where a group of teenagers are brutally murdered and during all that killing some kids survive and the killer does everything he can to make sure they all die, well that's what the movie is about in general, but I know that's not enough so I'll leave you with a little more so we're in tune.
We meet a girl named Millie Kessler played by the likable (Kathryn Newton) who lives with her mother who suffers from alcoholism problems and the vague loneliness left by the death of his wife and with her older sister who is a cop and is always looking out for her. This girl is a bit shy and suffers a bit of bullying from her schoolmates, you know how any teenager these days.

“Esta es una película donde un grupo de adolescentes es brutalmente asesinado y durante toda esa matanza algunos chicos sobreviven y el asesino hace todo lo posible porque todos mueran, bueno de eso trata la película en general, pero sé que no es suficiente entonces te dejaré un poco más para que estemos en sintonía”.
Conoceremos a una chica llamada Millie Kessler interpretada por la simpática (Kathryn Newton) quien vive con su madre que sufre de problemas de alcoholismo y la vaga soledad que le dejó la muerte de su esposa y con su hermana mayor que es policía y siempre está al pendiente de ella. Esta chica es un poco tímida y sufre un poco de bullying por parte de sus compañeros del colegio ya saben cómo cualquier adolescente en estos tiempos.
But not everything is sadness and loneliness for this girl, because she has two great friends who always accompany her everywhere and make a great trio. One night after a soccer game, the beloved Millie is left waiting outside the stadium for her mother who has fallen asleep, this girl tries to call to be picked up, but runs into a man they call the Blissfield Butcher played by (Vince Vaughn) who lately has been doing his thing by killing a teenager.
This killer and the young Millie have a small fight where she is wounded by a demonic dagger that causes their souls to pass from one body to the other and only has 24 hours to return to her original body or live cloaked in the body of a murderer for eternity. From this point the movie develops in this non-stop chase, where many bloody scenes and a little varied humor come to life, I can't talk more about the movie because it would be giving you more details and in the end it would only ruin all the arguments or funny and not so funny moments of this film.

🎬 MY SPOILER FREE OPINION
We are clear that this is a movie where humor is the protagonist and that the horror or suspense scenes are only left as embellishment and will not cause the effect you would want it to cause in you. I emphasize this, because it is not one of those movies where you can leave with a bad taste in your mouth, because they sold you something new where you will jump out of your seat or couch during the whole movie as once the movie Truth or Dare wanted to sell us as if it was the best of the horror genre and only stole 1h 43m of our valuable time and we can never get it back.
🇪🇸 Pero no todo es tristeza y soledad para esta chica, ya que cuenta con dos grandes amigos que siempre la acompañan a todos lados y hacen un trío genial. Una noche después de un partido de fútbol Americano la querida Millie se queda esperando fuera de las instalaciones del estadio a su madre quien se ha quedado dormida, esta chica intenta llamar para que la vayan a buscar, pero se topa con un hombre al que llaman el Carnicero de Blissfield interpretado por (Vince Vaughn) quien últimamente ha hecho de las suyas asesinando a uno adolescentes.
Este asesino y la joven Millie tienen una pequeña pelea donde ella es herida por una daga demoníaca que hace que sus almas pasen de un cuerpo al otro y solo dispone de 24 horas para regresar a su cuerpo original o vivir tapada en el cuerpo de un asesino para la eternidad. Desde este punto se desarrolla la película en esa persecución sin descanso, donde muchas escenas sangrientas y un humor un poco variado cobran vida, no puedo hablar más sobre la película porque sería darte más detalles y al final solo arruinaría todos los argumentos o momentos divertidos y no tan divertida de este filme.

MI OPINIÓN LIBRE DE SPOILERS
Estamos claros que es una película donde el humor es el protagonista y que las escenas de terror o suspenso solo quedan como adorno y no causarán el efecto que quisieras que cause en ti. Hago énfasis en esto, ya que no es de esas películas donde tú puedes salir con un mal sabor de boca, ya que te vendieron algo nuevo donde saltarás de tu asiento o del sofá durante toda la película como en una oportunidad la película Truth or Dare nos quiso vender como si fuera lo mejor del género del terror y solo nos robó 1h 43m de nuestro valioso tiempo y que jamás podremos recuperar.
This movie is sold as what it is a comedy with those horror ones that has no other intention than trying to make you laugh is all this movie is looking for and we can't try to look for the fifth paw to the cat, as it would be stupidity without sense, so it only remains to focus on two aspects that for me are important and perfectly define my opinion about FREAKY.
DOES IT CAUSE TERROR OR LAUGHTER?, Let's start with the fact that it doesn't cause terror in any sense or direction, the truth is that if you have seen the director's (Christopher Landon) previous films where he practically likes to unite a group of teenagers in crazy or out of place situations where the main course is the comedy and some scenes with sexual content, you may already have a clearer idea of where it can go.
From the comedy side I can say that it will depend on your mood and what you expect from the movie for my part I was sure what kind of movie I would find and I must confess that at first I took it a bit seriously because I wanted to be sure where it would go and not to be treading on unknown ground so as not to waste my time, I wanted to have a relaxed evening and that what I was watching was fun and in effect it achieved what I expected to make me laugh and in some of the scenes where the blood will take center stage I was surprised to a point where I will only have the idea and the feeling of seeing something well crafted, but not spectacular, because I must tell you that you will not die of laughter from start to finish but if you will spend a pleasant time.
🇪🇸 Esta película se vende como lo que es una comedia con esas de terror que no tiene otra intención que intentar hacerte reír es todo lo que esta película busca y no podemos intentar buscar la quinta pata al gato, ya que sería una estupidez sin sentido, por lo cual solo queda enfocarse en dos aspectos que para mí son importantes y definen perfectamente mi opinión sobre FREAKY.
¿CAUSA TERROR O RISA?, empecemos con que para nada causa terror en ningún sentido o dirección, la verdad si has visto las películas anteriores del director (Christopher Landon) donde prácticamente le gusta unir un grupo de adolescentes en situaciones un poco descabelladas o fuera de lugar donde el plato fuerte es la comedia y algo de escena con contenido sexual puede que ya tengas una idea más clara de hacia dónde puede ir todo esto.
Desde el lado cómico puedo decir que dependerá de tu estado de ánimo y lo que esperes de la película por mi parte yo estaba seguro de que tipo de película me encontraría y debo confesar que al principio me lo tomé con un poco de seriedad porque quería estar seguro hacia donde iría y no estar pisando en terreno desconocido para no perder mi tiempo, ya que deseaba tener una noche relajada y que lo que estuviera viendo fuera divertido y en efecto logró lo que esperaba hacerme reír y que en algunas de las escenas donde la sangre tomará protagonismo me sorprendieron a un punto donde solo me quedará la idea y el sentimiento de ver algo bien elaborado, pero no espectacular, ya que eso si debo decirte no morirás de la risa de inicio a final peo si pasaras un rato agradable.
DO I RECOMMEND IT?, Of course it is a movie to enjoy watching how the beloved (Vince Vaughn) interacts with these guys and makes his style a good trigger to not want to pause the movie and rather finish watching it completely.
It is one of the simplest reviews that I made for the Hive platform where the truth is that there was not much to talk about, it is easy to analyze and not very problematic when it comes to criticize or leave an opinion, if you are a moviegoer who has already had the opportunity to see it do not hesitate to leave your comment I would heartily like to know what impressions you leave and if you can recommend me one that moves along the same genre and I will write it down in my list of pending.

🇪🇸 ¿LA RECOMIENDO?, claro que sí es una película para disfrutar ver como el querido (Vince Vaughn) interactúa con estos chicos y hace que su estilo sea un buen detonador para no querer darle pausa a la película y más bien termines de verla por completa.
Es una de las reseñas más sencillas que realizado para la plataforma de Hive donde la verdad no había mucho de qué hablar es fácil de analizar y poco problemática al momento de criticar o dejar una opinión, si eres de los cinéfilos que ya has tenido la oportunidad de verla no dudes dejar tu comentario me gustaría de todo corazón saber qué impresiones te dejo y si puedes recomiendame una que se mueva por el mismo género y la anotare en mi lista de pendientes.
