Hola queridos amantes de las series y del cine, nuevamente regreso para compartir mi reseña de una película española: A través de mi ventana. Uno de los recientes éxitos de Netflix.
La película la vi el mismo día de estreno, sin embargo por diferentes razones no pude hacer mi reseña antes. He vuelto a ver ciertas escenas para no decir incoherencias. Pero ahí les va:
Sinopsis
Raquel, es una jovencita muy guapa y humilde que en secreto se enamora de su vecino rico, llamado Ares. Raquel está obsesionada con la vida de Ares,a quien sigue, e investiga constantemente. Por cosas del destino, Ares -pese a ser muy rico- roba la clave del wifi de ella y así inicia una arrolladora pasión sexual y "romática" entre ellos. Este "romance" se ve perturbado por las diferencias sociales sobretodo por los malestares que esto ocasionará a la frívola de la familia de Ares.
Ok. En mi opinión se trata de una película juvenil de drama adolescente un poco fresca debido al elenco. Sin embargo el guión de la historia es totalmente decepcionante, carece de sentido muchas veces. Lo cual me hace pensar que solo es un filme de fachada atractiva, pero de interior vacía.
LA PROTAGONISTA
Yo estaba muy interesada en ver actuar a Clara Galle debido a la promoción que le han hecho a esta chica en España y en el mercado latino. Sin embargo, su personaje Raquel me disgustó varias veces, internalicé que es una chica adolescente que comete muchos errores, así que cumplió con su papel.
Aunque eso no la excusa de tener diálogos carentes de información hacia el espectador, la historia pese a estar narrada por ella misma tiene huecos explicativos muy fuertes que lo que hace es generar disgusto.

Este el principal tema de molestia, considero que la industria de series y películas debe trabajar mucho, mucho en la estructura del personaje masculino. Porque a pesar de que en un primer momento se nos muestra un asomo de cambio de roles -una chica enamorada que con entereza toma iniciativa, enamora, blah, blah, blah-es una falacia. Pues volvemos a ver una película que coloca en un pedestal al personaje masculino, dándole superioridad, siendo un ser de completa devoción por la chica, idealizando a un chico que en pocos minutos queda claro, que no conoce Raquel. Lo cual nos hace pensar que el libro está basado en una ensoñación o una fantasía adolescente de un amor platónico.
El conflicto personal del chico es más de lo mismo, pues en otras películas se ha explorado el tema con el mismo resultado. Lo cual indica que es una especie de fórmula para hacer raiting. Al menos en 3 Metros Sobre el Cielo, Hache era un personaje jovial, atrevido, carismático. Pero este chico Ares (Julio Peña), solo posa. No convence su conflicto ni dinámica familiar, mucho menos tiene justificación su comportamiento como patán; conducta que es abiertamente apoyada por su familia como si se tratase de algo normal y aceptable. ¿WTF? Pero hay que reconocer que aun se protegen y se aplauden ese tipo de actitudes misóginas en muchas familias.
GUIÓN
Todo lo malo se encuentra en el guión, esta peli es una adaptación del libro publicado en wattpad por la venezolana Ariana Godoy, adoptada por la editorial Alfaguara la misma editorial de Crepúsculo. ¡Strike one! Lo cierto es que la cinta no se aleja de la tesis de Crepúsculo y 50 Sombras de Gray ¡Strike two! Lo que me preocupó es que al ser una cinta que quiere atraer sobretodo al sexo femenino, haya tanta patanería. Aun no encuentro razones por las que un chico la vería, sino es por ser "cool" siendo un tonto o para acompañar a su pareja. Insisto 3 Metros Sobre el Cielo, tenía sus brillos interesantes en cuanto a la relación Hache-Babi, y lo saco a colación porque es mi referencia de película juvenil romántica española.
En Através de La Ventana no vi gestos de inocencia en la exploración sexual entre dos adolescentes. Sino que Ares tenía el poder en sus manos, provocaba, e iniciaba. Lo que dejó a Raquel en el papel de testigo de la situación. No había un romance "apasionado", solo caprichos de dos jóvenes. Una que ya estaba atraída y el otro que probaba hasta dónde podía llegar ella.
El recurso sexual me pareció excesivo, aunque como lo vimos en la nueva entrega de Rebelde, "necesario" pues aseguran que esta generación está más ávida de este tipo de contenidos. Y sin este recurso no habría película. En este contexto Raquel es solo una chica más que se deja llevar y lo lejos que llega lo vemos en la pantalla. Sin embargo, el silencio de Raquel es preocupante, de allí la raíz de mi preocupación con el guión. Si la protagonista tuviese más intenciones o participaciones habladas lo entendería más. Pero el silencio de ella nos hace dudar en los momentos de tensión sexual, sobretodo. No dice mucho, intuimos que está de acuerdo por lo que vemos, pero no la vemos con una participación activa. Sus diálogos son flojos. Es solo una chica enamorada que cumple el popular "déjate llevar".
Pocos momentos de rebeldía nos hace considerar que nuestra prota no es carente de autonomía, pero rápidmaente se esfuma esa idea. Obviamente la tesis de esta historia no sería vendible si el principal enamorado-obsesionado fuese el chico. ¡Red flag! Lo que me hace rescatar esa parte de la historia porque en Raquel sí vemos inocencia e ingenuidad (excesiva, pero la hay). Es hasta bonito, ella lo ve, lo admira, está enamorada y todo, pero continúa su vida normal. Todo se sale de control cuando él lo nota y se aprovecha.
Finalizando el drama, Ares nos confiesa que "dañó" su router con la intención de hablar con ella-recuerden mi sinopsis, la clave del wifi fue el pretexto de ambos-. ¿No les parece romántico? Siempre pensamos que la loca acosadora era ella, pero él también provocó el encuentro entre ambos de una manera inusual, dejándole todo el peso del evento a su vecina "bruja". ¡Strike three!
LOS PERSONAJES SECUNDARIOS
Nunca antes había visto personajes secundarios tan nulos para una historia. Los amigos de Raquel, Daniela (Natalia Azahara) y Yoshi (Guillermo Lasheras). Los hermanos de Ares, Apolo (Hugo Arbues) y Artemis (Eric Masip) los "dioses griegos".

Vayamos con los amigos de Raquel, en un primer momento vi a Yoshi como un personaje interesante. El mejor amigo enamorado de la protagonista. Pero...una vez más el guión no permitió conocerlo, ni conocer las razones de porqué durante tanto años de amistad no se le declara a Raquel. Su personaje es solo una ficha que no fue bien jugada, porque ni para el trío amoroso funcionó.
Y Daniela ¡RED FLAG! es el peor personaje de todo el drama, lo odié a morir. No es ni la mejor amiga, ni una confidente, no sé solo es la chica que debe aparecer junto a la protagonista. Es una ficha más que utilizaron para... ¡qué digo! ni sé para qué la utilizaron. Lo cierto es que trabajaron demasiado en su estética,imagino que quería hacer un casting para Euphoria visualmente no está acorde al drama. La chica fiestera y relajada que no le importa el género de con quien está, vive su libertad. "Su historia" la unen con Apolo, el menor de los hermanos Hidalgos (o sea, los dioses griegos), y como no me quedan más trike, este es un ¡out! Daniela y Apolo me hizo rechazar aun más toda la peli. En un primer momento vemos el interés del menor en ella; ella se ufana de que lo tiene como perrito faldero; y luego son novios. ¿WTF? De verdad, que eso no tuvo nada de sentido, no hubo transiciones, solo bruscos cambios de dirección. ¡Hey, esto no funciona!

Artemis, el mayor de los dioses, o mejor dicho el patán superior. Enamorado de su ama de llaves, con la que tiene constantemente encuentros sexuales pero sabe que es solo un juego "para él". No hay mucho que decir porque una vez más el guión no permitió enteder su historia.

CONCLUISONES:
No la vean, es típica, es desordenada, creo que a pesar de seguir estructura de película "romántica" juvenil no hizo nada más interesante a lo sexual. El Stand de los Besos, que no me parece la mejor peli, tiene gracia, es cómica en ciertos momentos y sus personajes como el del mejor amigo está bien estructurado.
Esta es una historia más en la que la chica humilde, tímida amante de la literatura se enamora de un "imposible". El chico rico y guapo con el que quieren estar todas pero tiene una "oscura" razón de porqué es tan hostil. Pero ella con su "amor" lo hace cambiar de la noche a la mañana luego de darle su virginidad. ¿Les suena?
Puntuación: 1/10 (y eso porque Clara Galle me parece preciosícima)
No la volvería a ver, pero el éxito de estreaming impulsó que ahora llegaran dos entregas más ¡Yupi, ha nacido una trilogía! No sé si una nueva dirección pueda reparar los daños de esta. Porque ni la música fue buena. Y los juegos de cámara siempre chocaban con las piernas de Raquel o el torso de Ares.
Hello dear series and movie lovers, I'm back again to share my review of a Spanish movie: A través de mi ventana. One of the recent hits of Netflix. I saw the movie the same day of release, however for different reasons I could not do my review before. But, I have re-watched certain scenes in order not to say incoherent. So here goes:
Synopsis
Raquel is a very pretty and humble young girl who secretly falls in love with her rich neighbor, named Ares. Raquel is obsessed with Ares' life, whom she follows and investigates constantly. As fate would have it, Ares - despite being very rich - steals her wifi password and thus begins an overwhelming sexual and "romantic" passion between them. This "romance" is disturbed by social differences, especially by the discomfort that this will cause to Ares' frivolous family.
Ok. In my opinion this is a teenage teen drama movie a bit fresh due to the cast. However the script of the story is totally disappointing, it lacks sense many times. Which makes me think it's just a film with an attractive facade, but an empty interior.
THE PROTAGONIST
I was very interested in seeing Clara Galle act because of the promotion this girl has received in Spain and in the Latin market. However, I disliked her character Raquel several times, I internalized that she is a teenage girl who makes a lot of mistakes, so she fulfilled her role.
Although that does not excuse her for having dialogues lacking information to the viewer, the story despite being narrated by herself has very strong explanatory gaps that what it does is to generate disgust.

This is the main topic of annoyance, I consider that the industry of series and movies should work a lot, a lot on the structure of the male character. Because although at first we are shown a hint of role reversal -a girl in love who takes initiative, falls in love, blah, blah, blah, blah- it is a fallacy. Once again we see a film that places the male character on a pedestal, giving him superiority, being a being of complete devotion to the girl, idealizing a boy that in a few minutes it becomes clear that he does not know Raquel. Which makes us think that the book is based on a daydream or an adolescent fantasy of a platonic love.
The boy's personal conflict is more of the same,as other films have explored the theme with better results. Which indicates that it's a kind of formula for raiting. At least in 3 Meters Above the Sky, Hache was a jovial, daring, charismatic character. But this guy, Ares (Julio Peña), just poses. His conflict and family dynamics are not convincing, much less is his rude behavior justified; behavior that is openly supported by his family as if it were something normal and acceptable. WTF? But we must recognize that such misogynistic attitudes are still protected and applauded in many families.
SCREENPLAY
Everything bad is in the script, this movie is an adaptation of the book published on wattpad by the Venezuelan Ariana Godoy, adopted by the publishing house Alfaguara, the same publisher of Twilight, Strike one! The truth is that the film is not far from the thesis of Twilight and 50 Shades of Gray Strike two! What worried me is that being a film that wants to appeal mainly to the female sex, there is so much claptrap. I still can't find any reason why a guy would watch it, other than to be "cool" by being a dork or to accompany his significant other. I insist 3 Meters Above the Sky, had its interesting glimmers in terms of the Hache-Babi relationship, and I bring it up because it is my reference of Spanish romantic teen movie.
In Through The Window, I didn't see gestures of innocence in the sexual exploration between two teenagers. Rather, Ares had the power in his hands, he provoked, and he initiated. Which left Rachel in the role of witness to the situation. There was no "passionate" romance, just the whims of two young people. One who was already attracted and the other who was testing how far she could go.
The sexual resource seemed excessive to me, although as we saw in the new installment of Rebelde, "necessary" because they assure that this generation is more avid for this type of content. And without this resource there would be no film. In this context, Raquel is just another girl who lets herself go and we see how far she goes on the screen. However, Raquel's silence is worrisome, hence the root of my concern with the script. If the protagonist had more intentions or spoken participations I would understand it more. But her silence makes us hesitate in moments of sexual tension, above all. She doesn't say much, we sense that she agrees from what we see, but we don't see her with active participation. Her dialogues are weak. She's just a girl in love who complies with the popular "let yourself go".
Few moments of rebelliousness make us consider that our protagonist is not lacking in autonomy, but that idea quickly fades away. Obviously the thesis of this story would not be marketable if the main love-obsessed was the boy. Red flag! Which makes me rescue that part of the story because in Raquel we do see innocence and naivety (excessive, but there is). It's even cute, she sees him, she admires him, she's in love and all, but she goes on with her normal life. Everything gets out of control when he notices and takes advantage of it.
Finishing the drama, Ares confesses that he "damaged" her router with the intention of talking to her-remember my synopsis, the wifi key was the pretext for both of them-. Don't you think it's romantic? We always thought she was the crazy stalker, but he also provoked the encounter between them in an unusual way, leaving the whole weight of the event to his "witch" neighbor. Strike three!
THE SECONDARY CHARACTERS
Never before have I seen such null secondary characters for a story. Rachel's friends, Daniela (Daniela Azahara) and Yoshi (Guillermo Lasheras). Ares' brothers, Apollo (Hugo Arbues) and Artemis (Eric Masip) the "Greek gods".
Let's go with Raquel's friends, at first I saw Yoshi as an interesting character. The best friend in love with the protagonist. But...once again the script didn't allow to know him, nor to know the reasons why during so many years of friendship he doesn't declare himself to Raquel. His character is just a chip that was not well played, because even for the love trio it didn't work.
And Daniela RED FLAG! is the worst character in the whole drama, I hated it to death. She's neither the best friend, nor a confidant, I don't know she's just the girl who should appear next to the main character. She's just another token they used to.... What am I saying! I don't even know what they used her for. The truth is that they worked too much on her aesthetics, I imagine they wanted to cast her for Euphoria, visually it's not according to the drama. The laid back party girl who doesn't care about the gender of who she's with, she lives her freedom. "Her story" pairs her with Apollo, the youngest of the Hidalgo brothers (i.e. the Greek gods), and since I'm out of trike, this is an out! Daniela and Apollo made me reject even more the whole movie. At first we see the younger one's interest in her; she boasts that she has him as a lapdog; and then they're boyfriend and girlfriend. WTF? Really, that didn't make any sense at all, there were no transitions, just abrupt changes of direction. Hey, this doesn't work!

Artemis, the greatest of gods, or rather the superior lout. In love with his housekeeper, with whom he constantly has sexual encounters but knows it's just a game "for him". There is not much to say because once again the script did not allow us to understand his story.
CONCLUSIONS:
Don't watch it, it's typical, it's messy, I think that despite following the structure of a "romantic" teen movie it didn't do anything more interesting sexually. El Stand de los Besos, which I don't think is the best movie, is funny, it's comical in certain moments and its characters like the best friend is well structured.
This is just another story in which the humble, shy, literature-loving girl falls in love with an "impossible" guy. The rich, handsome guy that everyone wants to be with but has a "dark" reason why he is so hostile. But she with her "love" makes him change overnight after giving him her virginity. sound familiar?
Score: 1/10 (and that's because I think Clara Galle is gorgeous).
I wouldn't watch it again, but the success of estreaming prompted the arrival of two more installments Yay, a trilogy is born! I don't know if a new direction can repair the damage of this one. Because even the music wasn't good. And the camera games always clashed with Rachel's legs or Ares' torso.
