La película me complació en todo, el inicio es un plano de acción con misterio, pero nada alarmante porque la voz del narrador realiza el introductorio estilo novela y las teclas de una máquina de escribir registran la historia. El Arma del Engaño, está basada en el libro de Ben Macintyre, Operación Mincemeat; la cinematografía encaja en el género bélico, drama, guerra y espionaje, así que el director, ni más ni menos que John Madden, quien es reconocido por Shakespeare Apasionado. En esta producción logra una obra distinguida en compartir cómo se gestó el plan para engañar al enemigo; claro es una adaptación. El Arma del Engaño cuenta lo sucedido en 1942, dos oficiales ingleses estrategas son los responsables de crear una desinformación real que sea creíble por todos, tanto para los nazis y para quienes le dieron vida, porque es imperante dar un fin militar a Hitler por tomar territorio Europeo; en tal sentido, el objetivo es el batallón alemán en Sicilia.

For my part I repeat it constantly, because I like to enjoy the cinema; live each story, achieve empathy with the characters and reach the training, therefore, the above expression is a reminder to satisfy a need to connect with a new or known content of the cinema. In this opportunity I chose a topic that fascinates me, the productions of the Second World War, I did not hesitate, because it is interesting to know the history, its development, the results, the consequences and the details about how it all happened; therefore, the Weapon of Deception made my thought receive the elegant impact of the ruse in outwitting the Nazis military high command.
The film pleased me throughout, the opening is an action shot with mystery, but nothing alarming because the narrator's voice performs the novel style intro and the keys of a typewriter record the story. The Weapon of Deception is based on Ben Macintyre's book, Operation Mincemeat; the cinematography fits into the war, drama, second war and espionage genre, so the director, none other than John Madden, who is known for Passionate Shakespeare. In this production he achieves a distinguished play in sharing how the plan to deceive the enemy was hatched; of course it is an adaptation. The Weapon of Deception tells what happened in 1942, two English officers strategists are responsible for creating a real disinformation that is credible for everyone, both for the Nazis and for those who gave life to it, because it is imperative to give a military end to Hitler for taking European territory; in that sense, the target is the German battalion in Sicily.
Les cuento que el lenguaje fílmico, las imágenes y las puestas de escenas tienen un acabo hermoso que le dan valor al argumento, cada escenario tiene poder y movimiento; hay tomas de desenfoque, aproximación y alejamiento de los puntos importantes para resaltar la idea y el nivel del plan. Iluminación, las tomas en tonos oscuros y la luz de lugares emblemáticos, colores de la historia hacen un film creíble en consonancia con el vestuario acorde a sitios seleccionados antes y durante de la mentira. La música tiene sus tonalidades, un piano suave, melodías o ritmos de tensión, música de la época y el ruido constante de la máquina que no para de escribir lo que está sucediendo.
El diálogo es refinado para exponer el argumento del artilugio de combate intelectual; existe celeridad para crear la verdad falsa a través de constante reuniones en las cuales el dominio de la lengua es llevada a un nivel narrativo de historia que provoca admiración. Los encuentros ponen en la palestra el uso de referentes literarios de los cuales sacan extractos para dar uso a pensamientos personales o valerse de metáforas para darse a entender o producir un poco de humor. Es una historia que saca lo mejor de los personajes y lo peor porque en todo espionaje hay traición, sospecha, inmoralidad y envidia de quienes participan en distraer a los alemanes con la fachada real. Los sentimientos afloran en la mentira que confunden a los personajes y por ser un tema de guerra, la familia o la amistad se fragmenta o se une.
Asumir el riesgo, sin delatar que el plan tiene debilidades, es la carga de los oficiales, agotan las ideas, es repensar la jugada para ver los vacíos y buscar apoyo de otros para ejecutar la operación; interesante la trama que funge en el espectador el proceso de análisis. La mirada de algunos compañeros de la misión, hacen ver los errores que sirven para reorientar y dar forma a la estrategia, por qué quien dijo que la tarea de construir una realidad ficticia como arma alternativa en la batalla sería fácil, lo que hace involucrar al cinéfilo a pensar. El engaño es una táctica necesaria en la guerra para golpear a la fuerza enemiga, en este caso Alemania y esto era reconocido por el primer ministro Churchill, ser astuto es un paso a la victoria.
I tell you that the film language, the images and the staging of scenes have a beautiful finish that give value to the argument, each scene has power and movement; there are out of focus shots, approaching and moving away from the important points to highlight the idea and the level of the plan. Lighting, the shots in dark tones and the light of emblematic places, colors of the story make a credible film in line with the costumes according to selected sites before and during the lie. The music has its tonalities, a soft piano, melodies or rhythms of tension, music of the time and the constant noise of the machine that does not stop writing what is happening.
The dialogue is refined to expose the argument of the intellectual combat device; there is speed to create the false truth through constant meetings in which the mastery of language is taken to a narrative level of history that provokes admiration. The meetings bring to the forefront the use of literary references from which they draw extracts to make use of personal thoughts or make use of metaphors to make themselves understood or to produce a bit of humor. It is a story that brings out the best in the characters and the worst because in all espionage there is betrayal, suspicion, immorality and envy of those who participate in distracting the Germans with the real facade. Feelings surface in the lies that confuse the characters and because it is a war theme, family or friendship is fragmented or united.

Es adelantarse a la reacción del adversario y cubrir con inteligencia la brecha de la duda, mejor dicho que no exista sospecha y evitar la incongruencia del plan encubierto, es lo que importa. Es saber a quienes van a engañar para convencerlos; el tiempo a premura debido a razones naturales; entonces, se pone en marcha la estrategia y es el momento de hacer seguimiento telefónica para superar obstáculos, los cuadros revelan sorpresas porque se requiere hacer todo por tu país, significa de todo y también se observa en la película un giro que no esperaba casi al finalizar.
El fundamento del engaño es recurrir a piezas coherentes que forman el anzuelo con sustancias apetecibles para que no exista en el adversario vacilación. La película enfatiza la guerra oculta, llevada por hilos de espionaje intelectual que montan el escenario físico convincente; muy diferente a la guerra visible de bombas, heridos y muertos; lo encubierto que resulta exitoso se celebra. No obstante, hay dolor porque se pierden vidas y los muertos héroes sirvieron para sembrar el estupor en un batallón que no se lo esperaba, ya que la idea era descabellada; un hito histórico llevado a través de lenguaje literario clásico que seduce.
Cierro la reseña sin ningún tipo de revelación y por otra parte para confirmar que las actuaciones estuvieron de lujos, actores renombrados que transmiten y le dan carácter a la película El arma del engaño. Tenemos al ganador de varios premios actorales, Colin Firth (Ewen Montagu), oficial inglés de la inteligencia naval, es invitado a formar parte de un equipo de operación del engaño, actuación íntegra; un sujeto locuaz, seguro de sí, decidido de servir a su país para confundir con rumores en el pensamiento del otro, también posee un sentido del humor para informar y criticar. El oficial Ewen Montagu apoya la propuesta y el agente de inteligencia Charles Cholmondeley (Macfadyen), un hombre que se centra en el espionaje, debido a la imposibilidad de ir a combate; un hombre inseguro en otros aspectos fácil de presionar, pero apasionado para ejercer la treta creada, un papel bien ejecutado. Por último, Johnny Flynn como Ian Fleming, un teniente que se sube a la aventura de la historia ficticia, haciendo presencia en la máquina de escribir de lo que se avecina, su voz en la película pinta un discurso literario y termina de tipear cuando reciben las noticias del desenlace.
