¿Quién no dijo algunas vez que una ciudad real tenebrosa se parece a Silent Hill? Bueno, al menos yo si y tambien lo digo cada vez que la niebla espesa forma parte del paisaje de alguna lugar desolado. Imposible no sentirse como en aquella ciudad icónica del cine del terror cuando las nubes bajan del cielo.
Hoy, quiero hablar un poco sobre esta joyita clásica del horror basada en una saga de video juegos con el mismo nombre de la empresa Konami y aquí surge el dilema ¿Estuvo a la altura del videojuego? ¿Hizo honor a su antecesor?

Who hasn't said at some point that a truly eerie city resembles **Silent Hill**? Well, at least I have, and I also say it every time thick fog becomes part of the landscape in a desolate place. It's impossible not to feel like in that iconic horror movie city when the clouds descend from the sky.
Today, I want to talk a bit about this classic horror gem based on a video game series of the same name by the company Konami, and here arises the dilemma. Did it live up to the video game? Did it honor its predecessor?

Silent Hill, es una de mis películas de terror favorita. Del videojuego no se mucho. Lo jugué una vez pero el antiguo y mucho no me gusto así que me enfocare mas en lo que vi en la producción de pantalla grande aunque mucho, compararon y decían que el juego es mejor pero para mi, la película lo supera por mucho.
Debo decir que este post es dedicado a la primer película ya que la segunda (Como casi siempre) me pareció innecesaria y para mi, solo existe la uno ja,ja,ja.
Silent Hill is one of my favorite horror movies. I don't know much about the video game. I played it once but the old one didn't appeal to me much, so I will focus more on what I saw in the big screen production even though many compared and said that the game is better, but for me, the movie surpasses it by far.
I must say that this post is dedicated to the first movie since the second (as almost always) felt unnecessary to me and for me, there is only the first one haha.

El videojuego nos dejó personajes totalmente icónicos que si los vemos , no podemos no recordar de donde vienen como por ejemplo a Alexa, las enfermeras y el mas famoso cabeza de pirámide. La película hizo un excelente trabajo dándoles vida a estos personajes del inframundo y créanme que se ven sacados de las peores pesadillas.
No solo estos personajes fueron representados sino tambien, otros que fueron excelentes como el monstruo del baño (Colin, el conserje) y los niños calcinados ¡Madre mía que pedazo de efectos especiales! Cada escena que pasa, es más aterradora y visceral que la otra.
Otro punto a destacar: La sirena. Quienes la vieron saben de que hablo, que pasa cuando suena la sirena pero por respeto a quienes no la vieron, no lo diré. Solo diré que cada vez que oigo una sirena cerca de mi hogar parecida a esa tengo ganas de salir corriendo ja,ja,ja.
The video game left us with totally iconic characters that if we see them, we cannot help but remember where they come from, for example, Alexa, the nurses, and the most famous pyramid head. The movie did an excellent job bringing these underworld characters to life and believe me, they look like they come from the worst nightmares.
Not only were these characters portrayed, but also others that were excellent like the bathroom monster (Colin, the janitor) and the charred children. My goodness, what great special effects! Each passing scene is more terrifying and visceral than the last.
Another point to highlight: The siren. Those who have seen it know what I'm talking about, what happens when the siren sounds, but out of respect for those who haven't seen it, I won't say. I'll just say that every time I hear a siren near my home that resembles it, I feel like running away ha,ha,ha.
La película no solo son monstruos sedientos de sangre sino que también, hay algo mas profundo y ese es el tema de la religión. Nos enseña que consecuencias puede acarrear ser un total y desquiciado fanático religioso (Cualquier doctrina de igual forma es dañina) pero en el caso puntual de esta película, se nos muestra como hacemos cualquier cosa por nuestras creencias haciéndonos caer al mas profundos de los avernos, en este caso Silent Hill ya que si, no es otra cosa que un infierno, una especie de tártaro de almas en pena condenadas a los mas aberrantes castigos.

No me funen, se que dije es mejor que el video juego pero es mi opinión ya que bueno, a mi no me gustan los videojuegos pero cada quien con la suya je,je,je.
La película tuvo malas criticas pero para mi, es una joyita del cine de horror y si la ves, harás un pequeño descenso hacia el mismísimo infierno. Le doy un 10/10 ¡Saludos!
Do not cancel me, I know I said it's better than the video game but it's my opinion since, well, I don't like video games but to each their own lol.
The movie had bad reviews but to me, it's a gem of horror cinema and if you watch it, you will take a little descent into hell itself. I give it a 10/10. Greetings!
