Hell is on earth they say and it is true, but the worst hell of all is in our mind. I always say that there is nothing more terrifying than when our psyche stops functioning normally because that is when we not only fall into a dark abyss where our basest instincts come to the surface but also, we bring down many of those around us.
Mujeres asesinas, as you know, is an Argentinean series based on the book by journalist Marisa Grinstein. That book is a door to the most macabre of humanity because they are cases of real murders that were carried out by women in my country Argentina.
The chapter I am going to review today entitled "Clara, la fantasiosa " , is proof of how our mind makes us lose all notion of reality making us believe things that are not to culminate in a criminal act, giving in to those macabre instincts that we all have and that anything, no matter how insignificant, can trigger disaster.
Before we begin, if you did not see the series, I must give you a spoiler alert, I will try not to put so many but a warning is never too many since it is impossible for me not to mention any to give the best possible opinion. That being said, let's begin.
El infierno esta en la tierra dicen y es verdad, pero el peor infierno de todos esta en nuestra mente. Siempre digo que no hay nada mas aterrador que cuando nuestra psique deja de funcionar normalmente porque ahí es cuando no solo caemos en un abismo oscuro donde nuestros mas bajos instintos salen a flote sino que tambien, hacemos caer a muchos de los que nos rodean.
Mujeres asesinas como saben, es una serie Argentina basada en el libro de la periodista Marisa Grinstein . Ese libro es una puerta a lo mas macabro de la humanidad ya que son casos de asesinatos reales que se llevaron a cabo por mujeres de mi pais Argentina.
El capitulo que voy a reseñar hoy titulado "Clara, la fantasiosa" , es prueba de como nuestra mente nos hace perder tosa noción de realidad haciéndonos creer cosas que no son para culminar en un acto delictivo, cediendo ante esos instintos macabros que todos tenemos y que cualquier cosa, por más insignificante que sea, puede desencadenar el desastre.
Antes de comenzar, si no viste la serie, debo darte un alerta de spoiler, tratare de no poner tantos pero un alerta nunca esta de mas ya que me es imposible no mencionar alguno para dar la mejor opinión posible. Advertido esto , comencemos.
- Trama/Plot:
The story revolves around 3 characters: Clara (Cecilia Roth), "Zulema" (Julieta Diaz) and Clara's husband (Luis Machin), especially the first two.
Clara is a woman with clear mental problems, she suffers from jealousy and is psychotic to an extreme point that she cannot live peacefully because she believes that her husband is cheating on her with every woman he comes across. For this reason she pursues and hunts him to the point of exhaustion. She does nothing but focus all her attention and energy on making sure that her husband does not cheat on her.
He doesn't pay much attention to her and Clara only gets worse. It seemed only a passing thing for him but everything took a macabre turn when Clara met "Zulema" and I put it in quotation marks because that name was invented by Clara in her head since the woman with whom she became obsessed is not called Zulema although
in the chapter her name is not revealed but it is clear that this woman is not who Clara believes: her husband's supposed mistress.
From that encounter Clara becomes obsessed with the fact that her neighbor is her husband's mistress, so she begins to harass her until tragedy strikes.
La historia gira en torno a 3 personajes: Clara (Cecilia Roth) , "Zulema" (Julieta Diaz) y el esposo de Clara (Luis Machin) sobre todo las dos primeras.
Clara es una mujer con claros problemas mentales, sufre de celotipia y es psicótica a un punto extremo que no puede vivir tranquila por que cree que su marido la engaña con cuanta mujer se le cruza. Por esto lo persigue y cela hasta el hastío. No hace otra cosa que centrar toda su atención y energía en que su marido no la engañe.
El mucha atención no le presta y Clara solo empeora. Parecía solo algo pasajero para el pero todo dio un giro macabro cuando Clara conoció a "Zulema" y lo pongo entre comillas porque ese nombre se lo invento Clara en su cabeza ya que la mujer con la cual se obsesiono no se llama Zulema aunque en el capitulo no se revela su nombre pero que da claro que esa mujer no es quien Clara cree: La supuesta amante de su marido.
A partir de ese encuentro Clara se obsesiona con que su vecina es la amante de su esposo así que empieza a hostigarla hasta que llega la tragedia.
- Reseña/Review:
This chapter is one of my favorites. Without lying I watched it about 10 times and I didn't get tired of it because the plot is very well developed and it's entertaining every second that you see how Clara falls more and more into extreme madness.
At the beginning we are shown a manageable Clara who even knows she is doing wrong, even aware of the reality she has flashes of lucidity but when she meets her neighbor this changes along with her husband's lack of interest for her to improve her condition.
Luis Machin is an excellent actor. He played the role of the loveless husband who can't stand his wife anymore and that what he has "will pass". You could feel how tired he was of living with a person with a bad head and the frustration he had. So tired was he that when he became obsessed with his neighbor he did nothing just to stop her from chasing him and spend his
energy to chase the supposed "Zulema". While Machin played his role well, where his acting skills flourish is when he plays the evil one and later, in another chapter of this series I will talk more about him but this time the one who shined was Cecilia Roth playing Clara.
The performance was masterful. The look of the character, the attitudes, the gestures, everything made you believe that what you really saw on screen was a mentally ill person, abandoned by his family who did nothing to help him and even left her in charge of his medication, something we all know that a psychiatric patient can never take care of his medication. There we can see the lack of attention Clara had and that is why her condition worsened. On this side I could empathize with the character but on the other side, I felt pity and dread for Julieta Diaz's character.
Being persecuted by someone who accuses you of being her husband's mistress without you being one must be horrible. While Ceciulia did a great job in this one, Julieta was not far behind as she did it perfectly. I felt her fear, her frustration when she saw that not even the police wanted to help her because they said she was exaggerating. Her desire to kill her so that he would leave her alone, I could feel it all with her.
I loved how Clara's obsession developed, as I said, at the beginning she wanted to fix things even though she had a minimum of lucidity but her madness got the better of her. She went from wanting to fix things to wanting to kill that woman who, in her imagination, was sleeping with her husband. She fell prey to her jealousy and because of everything mentioned above, she ended up the way she did.
What I want to highlight from the chapter is the final scene. My God, what a great scene when Clara ends the act, all ragged and covered in blood, entering her apartment and with the exquisite accompaniment of that song. All in, song I dedicated to my friend @promete0sz ha,ha,ha,ha. That final scene completely reflects Clara's ultimate state of madness, it gave me chills, terror, dread...I can't say anything else about how terrifying it was and how perfectly staged it was.
I swear I remember the scene and I get goose bumps. It's speechless. Totally captivating.
Este capitulo es de mis favoritos. Sin mentir lo vi como 10 veces y no me canso ya que la trama esta muy bien desarrollada y es entretenido cada segundo que ves como Clara cada vez cae mas y mas en la locura extrema.
Al principio nos muestran una Clara manejable que incluso sabe que esta obrando mal, aun consiente de la realidad tiene destellos de lucidez pero cuando conoce a su vecina esto cambia sumado a la falta de interés de su esposo porque ella mejorara su condición.
Luis Machin es un excelente actor. Cumplió con el papel de esposo desamorado que ya no soporta a su mujer y que lo que tiene "Se le va a pasar". Se podía sentir el cansancio de el de convivir con una persona mal de la cabeza y la frustración que tenia. Ta cansado estaba que cuando se obsesiono con su vecina no hizo nada solo para que deje de perseguirlo a el y gaste su energía para perseguir a la supuesta "Zulema". Si bien Machin hizo bien su papel , donde aflora sus dotes actorales es cuando hace de malvado y mas adelante , en otro capitulo de esta serie hablare mas de el pero en esta ocasión la que brillo fue Cecilia Roth interpretando a Clara.
La actuación fue magistral. El look del personaje, las actitudes, los gestos, todo te hacia creer que realmente lo que veías en pantalla era una persona mentalmente enferma, abandonada por sus familiares que no hacían nada para ayudarlo y que incluso, la dejaron a cargo de su medicación cosa que todos sabemos que un paciente psiquiátrico nunca puede hacerse cargo de su medicación. Ahí podemos ver la falta de atención que tenia Clara y que por eso su condición empeoro. Por este lado pude empatizar con el personaje pero por otro, sentí pena y pavor por el personaje de Julieta Diaz.
Que te persiga alguien que te acusa de ser la amante de su esposo sin que lo seas debe ser horrible. Si bien en esta ocasión se lucio Cecilia, Julieta no se quedo atrás ya que lo hizo perfectamente. Sentí su miedo, su frustración al ver que ni la policía la quería ayudar porque decía que exageraba. Su deseo de matarla para que la deje en paz, todo pude sentirlo con ella.
Me encanto como se fue desarrollando la obsesión de Clara, como dije, al principio quizo arreglar las cosa aunque tenia un mínimo de lucidez pero su locura la pudo mas. Paso de querer arreglar las cosas a querer matar a esa mujer que en su imaginación, se acostaba con su esposo. Cayo presa de su celotipia y por todo lo mencionado anteriormente termino como termino.
Lo que quiero destacar del capitulo es la escena final. Dios mío que pedazo de escena cuando clara termina el acto, toda harapienta llena de sangre, entrando su departamento sumado con el acompañamiento exquisito de esa canción de fondo, canción que le dediqué a mi amigo @promete0sz ja,ja,ja. Esa escena final refleja completamente el estado máximo de locura de Clara, me dió escalofríos, terror, pavor... no puedo decir otra cosa de lo aterradora que fue y lo perfectamente montada que estuvo. Les juro recuerdo la escena y se me pone la piel de gallina. Sin palabras. Capitulaso totalmente.
- Caso real/Real case:
This chapter, like many others, is very faithful to the real case, but in the real events, the persecution of the victim feels even more intense. So much so that it makes you anxious just to read how she chased Ana, the neighbor that Clara thought was Zulema.
I think that in the book you can see Clara's madness more clearly since we can know how she was in her past although it is not clear what her breaking point was since apparently she always had a normal life and the only problems she had were her husband's imaginary mistresses that allowed her to live her life normally.
A chapter that teaches us something: Mental health is very important, it should not be neglected and family support is key to recovery, which sadly there was not here, otherwise Ana's story would have been different.
For the well acted, the staging, the development of the events, the musicalization, the fidelity with the real case, I give it the highest score and I totally recommend it.
Este capitulo como muchos es muy fiel al caso real solo en que en los hechos reales, la persecución hacia la victima se siente aun mas intensa. Tanto que te da ansiedad de solo leer como perseguía a Ana, la vecina que Clara pensaba era Zulema.
Creo que en libro se puede ver mas marcada la locura de Clara ya que podemos conocer como era en su pasado aunque no se esclarece cual fue su punto de quiebre ya que aparentemente siempre tuvo una vida normal y los únicos problemas que tuvo fueron las amantes imaginarias de su marido que le permitían hacer su vida normalmente.
Un capitulo que nos deja como enseñanza algo: La salud mental es muy importante , no hay que descuidarla y el acompañamiento familiar es clave en la recuperación cosa que tristemente aquí no hubo sino la historia para Ana hubiera sido diferente.
Por lo bien actuado, la puesta en escena, el desarrollo de los eventos, la musicalización, la fidelidad con el caso real le doy la máxima puntuación y lo recomiendo totalmente.
